I blame Kinect, they were doing good till Kinect.

Then again, maybe Kinect wouldn't exist if the nintendo Wii didn't exist.

How has it come to this where Sony even has to come out and SAY this? It's a GAMING console. They only have to say it because of MS and their unbelievably mis-firing event.

Sony: GAMES, Games, Developers, Games, oh, here's some ACTUAL gameplay, sharing, social, GAMES, ridiculous Squeenix FF 'concept video' WE'VE ALREADY SEEN (Seriously though, can I have the FF of yesterday?), INDIE games, and just for good measure, here's some more GAMES.

MS: It plays TV! (American) Sports, Fantasy Foosballs, TV, TV, Sports, Forza cutscenes, the total shock that EA is bringing their sports games to the next-gen, and here's a Calladooty Dog and moving fish!

And then the clusterfuck that came afterward with 'Not always online-requires online' (Wha?), used game fee that could be as much as the game itself, all games have to be loaded to our non-replaceable 500Gig HD (wha?), Kinect REQUIRED to be connected for the console to work at all and it's ALWAYS WATCHING YOU. Also, how dare you be confused and jump to conclusions based on our totally coherent not-actual-answers to important questions? How.Dare.You?!

After all that, Sony has to say 'We're about games'? This should be a slam dunk and it bothers me that it's not. Okay, I get that the mainstream doesn't scour the sites or even know what NeoGaf is...but STILL.

Games consoles are very popular as entertainment devices. DVD helped drive PS2, Bly ray PS3 and Netflix all last gen systems. It's not been purely bout "the games" this century.

Omgomg hahhahhaha, I didn't realize who's post I was watching as the gif unfolded. I started thinking, this is way too good and then I looked to the left. The gif wasn't over but I started getting more hype because of who made it and it didn't disappoint. Bravo man, you are the legend for a reason. This gif is amazing.

He must have more important things to do, much more important things.

Like working on a statement about used games and online DRM.

I feel kind of sorry for him right now. He must be under heavy pressure. I hope he has a great relaxing day tomorrow and can get some time off. He is like all of us, human.
 
It's crazy just how much Microsoft has afforded Sony good will by simply putting their foot in their mouth while Sony says very little.

With that said I feel that with the information we have Sony looks the best if only because they have a lot of talented first party developers. Even without knowing what the games are, you know Naughty Dog, Sony Santa Monica, Media Molecule, etc ARE going to have games on PS4 while MS's first party development has a bit more to prove.
