I just saw the other day about that FF IX quest that was just recently discovered. I love when games of that age still have hidden content, for multiple reasons. Not only goes to show that the game has a lot of content, and a lot to offer, but it also has to be real tough to bite your tongue if you were a developer of the game.
I'm interested in X, but that worries me. I really hated all of the characters in XIII, except for Lightning, and that's only because she was relatable in that she hated all of the characters in the game as well.

Even though the Crash i.p hasn't been significant for a few years I still believe that they would charge highly for him since they would probably fear the potential profit that Sony would make if they would revive Crash successfully while they failed (Since I believe crash has a greater significance on a Sony platform due to his heavy presence in the PSone era then rather being multi-plat)
Also even though Spyro is in the Skylanders series his presence and importance in that I.P has slowly diminished especially after Giants where his name isn't even in the title anymore, I mean seriously when you look at the Skylanders' official website you would't be able to easily find Spyro at all and I really think that a majority those consumers who buy Skylanders don't buy it for Spyro but rather the toys

Maybe if we're lucky they'll include DriveClub or Knack with the system.
I just hope we get some RPGs for launch, or atleast launch window, even if XV is coming I doubt it will be there at launch, Witcher is 2014. I would not mind a Skyrim game of the year edition for PS4. I guess we might find out about any upcoming RPGs at E3, maybe a few more at TGS.

I hope some online retailers here put up some good value bundle offers though. If the critical response is positive, I'd like to buy a PS4 with Knack, DriveClub and Second Son all in one swoop.
Well I think FF characters have gone downhill in general since they started getting voices. Speech bubbles were so much less obnoxious.
Id say X is pretty decent in that regard for the most part though. The similarities to XIII lie in the art style and its linearity in the first half or so.

Great thread! I am pretty excited for the Sony press conference and the other press conferences too, really. But, Sony's should be the best conference for gaming enthusiasts.

The voices wouldn't be much of a problem if the dialogue was well-written.
But such is not the case.
Speaking mainly of XIII, XII had one of the best localizations in history.

Yeah i would love that, but the last I read was that Hino wanted to make an MMO for PS4, So I suspect it will be closer to WKC then DC, or RG.
Its always kind of been alittle weird to me that Sony either forgot, or never realized that a large portion of their fanbase was there because of RPGs. I wish they had spent some of that first party aquisition money on picking up, or building some RPG studios.

Sony should just get their goddamn asses off the ground and make another epic RPG with Matsuno in charge. Either Japanese or Western, it seems that's the one genre Sony is lacking from their first party support.
One can only imagine how beautiful it would look from the technical talents that Sony has in their studios.

So... what 1st 2nd party companies do you see Sony cutting ties with next gen? i Guess Insomniac pretty much seems multi now. Still cant beleive Studio liverpool is gone.
A shame XII is the exception and not the rule, it was very well done indeed. The whole game is immense.
That's part of it, but they also seem to seek out the most irritating and whiny voices they can find.
Nothing was bigger than bungie leaving MS. Nothing on Sony that can match that, maybe PG

He left to 'recharge' for his next project, which he said is still a secret and can't be revealed. There was a thread made when he left.
Matsuno has tweeted a clarification on his current status. He says saying he needed to recharge his batteries might have caused undue concern. In reality there is nothing wrong with his health, and he is only taking a vacation for about a month or so. His next project is already lined up and he hopes to announce it when he is able to.
So yeah, I guess he isn't retiring.

Any advice on where to go to learn how to create gifs for beginners?
And hopefully, there'll be a Vita game if not a PS4 project rumoured to be a FPS. Either that or GoW Kart racing.
