Was Versus supposed to have an M rating? I know there was a pretty bloody impaling in the announcement CG but I never thought that the game would be anywhere close to an M.

I remember they devoted a bit of time to PS+ at last years E3 conference so I think it is a possibility, sure.

I know this is HIGHLY unlikely, but how cool would it be if, just as they did in their first E3 presentation, Sony brings out someone to tell us the price of the PS4 where they walk on the stage, say $299.99, and then walk off? That would be a GAF crashing moment.
 
There's a new service rumoured called Playstation World. They will probably explain how successful PS + has been for them at E3 and how they are evolving the service. I think they lock tons of features behind PS + and keep online gaming free. I hope they do. Sony usually tends to release a major game when it's time for renewal like every 3 months or so.

They are 2 different games. The only way they could both exist is if SONY takes the helm of the production... which is possible. The fans would certainly be more than happy to buy Demon's Souls and Dark Souls games. It would make sense to release them in separate years so there's no real conflict.

Yea if the price is $399 or below, they must do that. It would be such a feel good moment.

Maybe showing the features mentioned being demonstrated?... but yah I like Jack since he's like a really humble presenter... like a guy calmly having a good time

Fair point. As long as they have a good connection... I can imagine things going very wrong! Haha :p Unless it's a canned demo. In which case it would be kind of silly anyway...But yeah, maybe!

And yeah I like Jacky. He comes across as pretty genuine, and it's always amusing to see him completely shitting himself at the prospect of presenting infront of thousands of people. Although he is getting much better :)

Yeah for me the presenters at Sony and Nintendo feel more genuine compared to MS... not hating on MS but most of the people who present at their conferences seem to lack soul and cover their faces with false smiles

I think they will make sure it's a strong month in PS+, even one of the mods at PS blog said gamers will be pleased by this month's lineup. So yeah they have to brag about it in their conference. Hopefully PS+ will be more worthy in the next gen or at least just stay as it's now.
 
I appreciate that there are differences between Demons' and Dark Souls, but honestly not enough to make pursuing Demons' 2 worthwhile for Sony. There's too much redundancy unless Namco and From do something to shift focus more onto another platform, exclusive content or such. They'd be better going for some exclusive perks for any Playstation versions and focus there internal resources on making new games in places that aren't already covered.

My friend and I almost died laughing from disgust when that Phil Spencer guy came on the stage looking like he was wearing two huge watches. So funny seeing all the stuffed suits and no devs or engineers.

Cool that a mod alluded to it. I personally have no complaints about Plus, it's great. They should use a new motto...

Did we plan a back-up-plan for the after party? Cause gaf is gonna be down all day Mon. And if MS conference doesn't kill it, Sony certainly will.

If you've played a fair amount of both games (i have easily over a thousand hours on them) you will see that they are more different than alike on closer inspection. Their themes are different. The only similarities are a few non-essential characters and the game play to a certain extent.

The atmosphere and world systems are totally different. You could easily develop them to be very different games and the fans would love to buy both. Throwing away Demon's Souls is throwing away money as it's a proven franchise with a dedicated cult following.

If SONY builds it, the fans will come.
 
This monetary discussion relating to the price of the PS4 is irrelevant. All we need to know is whether we'll need 1 or 2 jobs.

In the very beginning, while I used to post on GameTrailers, I heard this rumour buzzing that given it was the first FF to show blood and that it was not a game in the main franchise, the creators wanted to go the "M" route.

That rumour gained quite traction for some time back in the day.

Same here, seeing as GAF is probably going to be down for at least some of the conference (if the Xbone/PS4 events are anything to judge by). Especially if there are a few megaton announcements or trailers.
 
I expect LittleBigPlanet Karting and/or All Stars Battle Royale to be in there purely for the DLC and cross-sales.
