Is Atlus going to have a strong showing at E3?

They could port it to PS4 maybe ask someone else to do it?
They can play down the animu parts and focus on the jrpg aspects. They don't have to make it appeal to the mainstream just make sure more people are intrigued by it.

Persona is a series that has reached mainstream...
But i think that Persona 5 will be showed at TGS, not here.
You can't expect them to completly focus on handhelds if P5 does good
why has to be everything for 3DS? i don't understand how can people want everything to be on a single (and dated) system.
Persona 5 uses a new engine, so i think that more Shin Megami Tensei games will come to PS360/PS4XBOX1 after P5 is done.

Mainline SMT is all about choosing whether to side with the angels or the demons, and in the second game you actually kill the Christian God. Persona never goes that far, but it does involve teenagers shooting themselves in the head, breaking and entering, having sex, ignoring authority figures and (attempting) to commit murder. If the mainstream media ever got hold of this and it was a slow news week...

That FOX news would kill to run a story about the latest best-selling video game revolves teenagers who do battle with demons in a series with a lineage steeped in the occult.
Waaaaay more interesting than GTA.
They can totally put Persona on the xbox one. Like Trinity soul for example. After all, it is a tv show.

p3 doesn't really focus on suicide though
i mean it uses suicide imagery (the shock value wears off after the first hour or so)
aside from the goofy suicide imagery (which appeared in a whole one game), none of that stuff is worse than things you see on primetime teen dramas. hell abc family runs shows that are edgy than the stuff persona presents
(also literally every western developed game from the past decade)

I doubt Sony cares. Sony doesn't really do anything for JRPGs in general. Like, they help out with Persona in the media aspect but I'd hardly expect them to actually prop up the games themselves. P6 on PS3 is actually really possible, just look at how Persona 4 came out in late in Japan in 2008 2 years years after OG P3 came out.
Though I don't want Atlus to wait too long before jumping to next gen, else we're looking at an end of gen P7 for next gen...
Atlus isn't going to ask anyone to do anything.
Also playing down the anime aspects would be dumb considering the series basically is anime. It has Jpop, anime cutscenes, the whole honorifics thing. You can't really play that down. Not to mention JRPGs have this anime stigma attached to them anyway. It's fine as it is.

idk there just seems to be this weird disconnect that a lot of jrpg fans have with regard to game content and what's shocking/would cause a media frenzy. like freaking out about implied sex scenes when games like mass effect have real, actually sex scenes, or roundabout attempted murder when there are actual games where you actually commit murder. lots of murder. just killing the shit outta everybody.

They should release a port of Persona 4 for Xbox 1 with a (possible spoiler ahead)...

The smartest thing for Atlus to do is make P5, most likely for PS3 and in HD, then re-use those HD assets to create HD remakes for all their old stuff and release it on Steam.
Oh please god yes. Strange Journey was absolutely amazing. I doubt it though; Devil Survivor 3's likely to be next.

Maybe they can reboot the Trauma series as a mental health facility simulation game, so all of their PSTD suffering fans can help each other through MP

There's really no point for smaller publishers to announce stuff AT major trade shows, since they don't have conferences anyway. It's more effective to announce stuff in the press before trade shows, and just exhibit the announced products at the trade show, so fans and press already know what to expect. Which is why it's silly when people say that there's no way <xxxxx> will be announced at E3 too. They can easily announce it around the same time in Japan, and it would simply be featured at E3 for the press.

Historically at E3 atlus usa shows 2-4 new games/localizations
Etrian 1 remake on 3ds, devil survivor 2 3ds. You can count on those. If you talk to any of the mods on the forums. They seem to be hinting at AT LEAST this much. But who knows
