Generation Xth: Code Hazard [PC] Fan Translation

There was a post at the start of the month about this needing another week or twos testing, I wonder what the chances of it being out in the next week or so are

It's coming along pretty well. The full game is in testing, so a full release isn't far off. I know the project lead's already started his next one, and it's a game people have wanted in English for quite some time.

Seems like it is completely done, but they want to see if they can do a proper release first before just releasing the translation. I can respect that

Understandable but disappointing, cant imagine the turnaround on getting confirmation/denied on an official release is going to be fast.

Nearly three months later and still nothing released, a little disappointing

I got an update on this. The project lead got hit by a lot of problems.

The game is nearly finished, so myself and Esper are going to iron it out and release it ourselves. Now that Umineko's done, this can be our focus.

I was hoping it would be Shadowrun, but eh. This is pretty much done and ready to go, barring any bugs.

Any way I can download the latest English patch? Or is it not available for general public yet?

Sorry to hear about the project leads problems, but excited to hear its going ahead.

It's not. Close, though. Ironing out some major bugs.

At least folks who are interested can count on you guys to release something more complete than the Elminage localized version lol.

Nice to hear you folks are still keeping with the project.

I was happy enough that we even got Elminage translated in the first place.

I will also be happily looking forward to this project and how it goes as well. :)

I might have to lurk those forums just because.

Glad to see that the project was still being worked on.

Since apparently Operation Abyss is still in release limbo here in Japan, dont think the US will be seeing a game from the series anytime soon currently. So this would be the second best thing.

Im curious about what kind of work goes into ripping apart the game from the text and such.

Cleaning up the closet a bit pulled out all of this. Though cant find where my Cross Blood PC version went... D: I think I have the 360 version of Students of the Round somewhere too. Must be stuck in one of the taped up boxes...

You could say Im a fan of the series / company lol

The game on the upper right was the one with the installation problems that Ive gotten zero support from EXP with. :/ Doesnt really matter all that much now considering I have the PSP version. Still doesnt help knowing that particular version of the game is worth about as much as a coaster in its current state tho.

Since you're a fan of them, wondering if you could help me on Students of the Round - I was looking to pick up the psp edition, and I noticed there are two covers around - the one you have, and this one.

Is the Solaris one a placeholder image that never got used, or a variant of some kind?

You know thats the first time Ive seen that cover truthfully. I wonder where they got it from? Since even the kadokawa collection version has the same cover. The cover art the rating section bottom left says rating pending so we can guess that it was a previous design. Too bad considering that actually is a nicer cover using the original art. As the art from the current cover is a bit misleading considering the art in the game does not look like that at all.

Would be nice if this game got the remake treatment too and was brought over to the Vita.

Done a bit more research since, I think it is a placeholder from before the game came out that never got used. Just noticed that the Cero image in the bottom left doesn't have a rating, apparently its a "Rating pending" one, while your version has a proper rating.

I guess solaris and the other places who use it just never bothered to update their image when the game came out

Ah, see you twigged it as well.

Yeah, thought it was a bit nicer then the other one so was set to pay a bit more for it. Glad I didn't!

Seems like it since the official page is using the current art also. Same with amazon. Dont believe there was some sort of first print run either. Its a great game though if you are into these type of wizardry genre based titles. Dear god was the PC version expensive when it first came out. Picked up the PSP one at launch since its just easier for me to play these types of games on a portable system. Truthfully I think the game might have sold a bit more if they went with that other cover. No idea why they changed it seeing how nice it was.

Btw dont buy that cheaper PC version in the upper left corner of my pic. That shit didnt want to install correctly for whatever reason on windows 7. Didnt get any word from the company either about the problem when I emailed them. So its just literally to collect as it has about as much use as a coaster to me currently. Thank god it was like only 2500 yen or something when I got it. The regular PC edition works perfectly fine though.

Yeah, seems like the first print was just an extra music cd or something, no bigger case to fit it in. I don't really like bonuses/LE's when they don't come in the case, as I tend to lose the stuff

Yeah have the same problem. I really should get some sort of dedicated box for all that shit and just toss everything into it so at least I know its in a single location.

Whats funny is since they recycle resources you will be seeing some of the monsters in that game appear in Demon Gaze also. Similar sound effects also.

Is it even possible to buy the game? At least on Ebay nothing showed up for me.

edit: I didn't think of Amazon, or exp's own shop, my bad.

Awesome that this is finally done, even if the scope of it is probably such that it'll be a good while before anybody can go over the lot of it in complete detail to see if there was anything amiss one way or the other.

If anything does go awry, it should be easy to patch and continue from where you left off. I'd keep backup saves, just in case.

I apologize for the delay for this. It's completely my fault as I kept forgetting. I've put together a (hopefully) 99% version of Generation Xth: Code Hazard. The only thing I'm aware of not translated is the default team names (one day I'll find them...). Everything else should be working. So consider this still a beta release.

Due to real life stuff on both sides, some work was lost which is why we're not completely sure this game is beatable. I'm 95% sure though Smile So please report any bugs here (I'll try to remember to check back here) or feel free to email me at esperknight at yahoo. Or PM me as well (which should message me... I think...)

Also, this is for the NON plus version. So the regular edition. I have no idea if this works with the plus edition. It may though so feel free to let me know Smile

So yeah... without further ado:
