Robb decided to start a war against the most powerful family in the Seven Kingdoms. He then proceeded to shit on all of his allies. His downfall was going to happen sooner or later.
This is both incorrect and stupid.

As for Jon's casting, I'm sort of indifferent. He's fine I suppose, but there are others that are just so spot on and perfect for their roles that they overshadow him a bit for me.

Yeah that was never going to happen after they said countless times that the RW was THE scene that made them do a TV series out of the books in the first place.
I don't get why everyone is going on about Stannis, really what's to like? Bedding with an evil witch who births demons while locking up the only sane friend the guy has. I'm sure there is more in store for his character, but for now he gets a hell no from me.
Been wondering about that too. Other than willingness to charge into battle with his own men, he's been nothing respectable IN THE SHOW.
A religious fanatic who cheats on his wife and ignores his best friend. He's mean and uncharismatic. He uses assassins to kill his brother.
I honestly think his fans must have knowledge from other books, because the show has made him out to be a dishonorable asshole.
As someone who has read the books: MUAHAHAHAHAHA GIVE ME YOUR TEARS
I've been waiting for this since the season started.![]()

What a bizarre phenomenon this has been. The sheer...righteousness at seeing people miserable?
He doesn't ignore his best friends, his best friend is one of the few who has the balls to tell him when he's doing something wrong. Sometimes he doesn't want to listen to that, sometimes he does. And he didn't use assassins to kill his brother, he did it himself by controlling the shadow that Melisandre conjured (it's supposed to be Stannis own shadow if I've understood everything correctly).

If it wasn't him personally, it was an assassin. Even if it was birthed from a weird religious witch.
I think the word you're looking for is schadenfreude.
It was him personally, it just wasn't him physically.
I always hated that they changed that part. In the book it's pretty clear he married her because he took her honor. Its not completely incorrect.
He chose "love" over keeping his word. He died for it.
I can only imagine what folks are feeling if they didn't know this scene was coming.
Hmm, let's just look up that German word...
"Taking pleasure in someone else's misery like a sociopath."
Does that sound accurate?
I don't recall this being said anywhere in the show that Stannis had any control.

In the show they are like "we are so much in love!!!!!! hey babe take a look at my battleplans"

I don't get people like you. There was the same kind of posts in the official no books spoilers thread, just book readers acting like jerks. What's the reason to even post this?

Bummer. It seems they don't give much coverage to the insight the dire wolves have on the show.
its fictional...
Epicaricacy.I think the word you're looking for is schadenfreude.
READ THE BOOKS. Heck, read the Dunk and Egg short stories too.Yeah, I've been seriously contemplating reading the books since the first season aired. After tonight, I don't think waiting for the next season to find out what happens will be remotely possible.
Yeah, I really don't get the smugness.
Honestly, I don't know how you people can watch the HBO show.

Honestly, I don't know how you people can watch the HBO show. All the changes it makes result in a worse story with less depth and character. They skip battle scenes, add in gratuitous sex scenes (while skipping over the relevant ones from the books), combine events, avoid needed backstory, and remove all subtlety (Renly is gay?!).
I mean, I get it, but... what if I told you that there was an even better version of Game of Thrones out there? Why wouldn't you jump at the chance to experience it?
