Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

Oh flipping hell despite being an old gipper Toro's Friends Network is just the boost I'd need to use my Vita more. Maybe it's the though of putting my friends in to forced labor that seams appealing. Fingers cross for an EU announcement. Saying that there's a Bi-Weekly Indie sale announcement at the moment.

Sony Europe is starting an indie gaming sale campaign tomorrow. Yeah, you guessed it, three PS3 titles, not a single Vita title included.

Good luck marketing the Vita as an indie gaming machine when you pull off shit like this.

EDIT: btw the titles are Pid, Topatoi and Zack Zero.

why shahid why

Indie sales will be changing bi-weekly (I think?) so I'd expect them to include some Vita games soon. Would have been nice to have even just one included for the first week, though.

Sales Vita in EU? Forget about it. They have been completely ignoring the Vita since December last year bar the first anniversary sale which was weak and not as it should have, and sales on 5 indivial games. I don't know what the fuck their problem is.

Am I too late in posting NEAR stats? I thought it would be a fun thing to look at, and they're not as shoddy as I thought they'd be!

This also made me wonder whether there are people still playing Treasure Park? I keep finding TP game goods, but they never work...

Nice stats! I wouldn't be surprised if people are still playing it. I wonder if Paint Park Plus will let you leave drawings via NEAR? Now that would be cool.

Also, though I don't care much for sports games, PES 2014 was announced and it isn't coming to Vita:

Konami giving Vita the shaft :\

It also isn't coming to next gen platforms, Wii U or 3DS. Doesn't sound like they're giving Vita the shaft. Just seems like they're being lazy all round.

Got my Vita (wifi & 3g) on Sunday, really nice, I love the screen. Didn't cost me any cash either, traded my old iPad and iPhone for it and got enough credit for the purchase. Got LittleBigPlanet and a 4gb card.

Not impressed with the price of the memory cards, though. I was looking at getting a 32gb one, but it's too expensive.

It says on the box that I can get a free copy of WipEout from Vodafone (I'm in Ireland) once I register and top up the sim card with €20. Has anyone done this? Any problems getting the code from them?

Is FIFA on the Vita good? Worth buying? Also, any good games coming out later this year? How is the Killzone game shaping up?

Not sure about FIFA, and Killzone looks pretty decent.

Here's a few Vita games that I'm looking forward to, you should check them out and see if any fit your tastes.

  • Dragon's Crown
  • Muramasa Rebirth
  • Phantasy Star Online 2
  • Tearaway
  • Toukiden
  • Ys: Memories of Celceta

You may be a bit disappointed with them if you don't like Japanese games, though.

Just ordered Lumines - was waiting for it at a decent price.

Bought a Japanese copy of the original on PSP because I liked the cover art better, and I think the song/level arrangement was different.

It gets a bit of ire because a version came out at launch and then a new one came out about 6 months later that wasn't all that much different. But if you take away typical EA shenanigans... it's actually a very good version that looks great - and backtouch shooting may be the best implementation of backtouch on the system.

just a reminder, they were lying last year.

I think after New Little Framerate Story and Book of Memories bombed they decided to not even think about Vita anymore.

Nice looking case! Does it have an inner pocket? Where did you buy it?

Amazon.uk fellow GAFfer, pretty cheap. Some people like it, others don't. I wanted this one because it looks simple and minimalistic.

No inner pocket however, here it is a picture of how it looks inside:
