There really should be Nintendo games in there as well, to provide some sort of contrast to all those gritty dark games...

That was really nice, but it kinda shows how limited games are now to certain tropes.
I'm really excited for FFXV, MGSV, and Knack and interested in the Last Of Us from what was shown in that video.

The closer we get to E3, the more I get convinced that aside from already announced games (Pikmin3/X/Smash/Mario3d/Kart/WW/SLU) we won't see anything new. Maybe Retros new game, but that will probably be it.
Hopefully we get some actual 3rd party token games to get excited about as this stuff alone would be expected and boring.

This brought my computer to its knees. Figuring out how to turn a youtube rip into a gif with photoshop, then dealing with HDD space issues, then dealing with 4GB not being enough RAM (LOL!) and then the file was 16MB which was too big for most free image hosting services.
I finally made it. Now there's a gif of the Mechonis vs Bionis battle to dream about!

Just found out my grandad died and the funeral is three hours before the Direct.
He liked his games though so I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I check up on my phone at the wake.

He will probably get to announce Retro at the end. In the recent directs he has always done the "one last thing" parts.
I feel like not a lot since he and Miyamoto are hosting the press event.
That doesnt matter, because the direct is pre recorded.

...nvm then!If Nintendo and Capcom have any sense they would have both been working on bringing Nintendo Vs Capcom to the Wii U to keep fighting game fans happy until the release of SSBU next year. Wouldn't be interested in getting it myself but it would sell an absolute shitload of hardware and software. A win-win for both companies.
Sega have already shown what mixing Nintendo characters with a third party's characters can do for software sales, I'm surprised we haven't seen more publishers jumping on that bandwagon.

I know Nintendo Directs generally are, but has this one confirmed to have been pre-recorded? I remember there was some mention of it being live-streamed, rather than pre-recorded.

100% guaranteed that it's pre-recorded like every other ND. That's the whole point of these things. Editing and fine tuning everything.
All Nintendo Directs are livestreams, btw. Why? Because they are streamed live, unlike Konami's fuck-up which you could download and fast forward LOL.
