When an I or E comes after a G, there is usually a modifier like an H after the vowel to make the G sound hard. "A" doesn't need the modifier, so GAF would never be pronounced with a soft G.

gif = jiffy lube

hell yeah

You're a weird Jaffer.

Actually, JafGAF is weird GAF.

Ah, this is adorable.

Where would you be playing it if it wasn't coming out on Wii U?

On the Sega Spectrum.

It SHOULD have been for the PS3 and 360, which cater to the TRUE gamers.

In the case of BAYO 2 is it considered moneyhatting if a multi-platform game is cancelled?

Moneyhatting just sounds so negative.

If Ninty helped co-develop S3 I'd call it something more heroic than moneyhatting

It's more like "stealing our games"

Lol.

Well if the first game sold better maybe it would of been multiplatform.

The casual audience is not going to leave tableta and phones for wiiu. Also the fact this is a direct and no one who cares about those games will be watching I will be disappointed id they waste their time focusing on them

I dunno. If Nintendo figures out a game that can give a reason to show the casual audience why they should own a Wii U, the direct would be as great a place as any to show it. I do agree with you that it will be an incredibly hard sell to have them leave their tablets and smartphones for a console when they feel they can get the same games on their currently owned items. That's Nintendo's biggest problem though, they released a console with a new feature, and didn't have a game to sell that feature. It took a while for the DS to get games where you were like, "Ok, this is a great idea for a handheld, I love this," I hope the Wii U gets that this Winter.

Predictible as in? I dont think any game should be predectible for the sake of thr Wii U.

Predictable as in: We knew these games were coming even before we knew about the WiiU.

It's basically the baseline lineup that every Nintendo console will come with, the stuff that trolls love to point at when talking about how Nintendo is just doing sequels.

It's really the bare minimum. It's not exciting in the same way that new uncharted franchises are. It's a safe and slightly boring lineup with what are sure to be amazing production values. Nintendo right now is focused on saving face in 2013. At best they won't wet themselves completely this year. To expect them to entice people about the WiiU that weren't already interested in it is a massive stretch.

I so hope that at least Retro is bringing in something new. And that Nintendo has funded some 3rd party token games to get excited about.

There's nothing wrong with having a diverse portfolio as long as they adequately address the majority of the consumers. I don't mind groaning through wii fit or wii sports u as long as they take the time to show me stuff I'll actually get excited for.

Oh ok good. I thought you meant like the games would be predictible or people have this perception in which they are which I believe is true. Wether they are or not Nintendo needs them to have some kind of appeal so people will want to buy the console for them.

I hope we see one of Nintendo's extreme sport IP's (Excitebike, Waverace, 1080). They could really serve as a graphical showcase for Wii U.

I think their biggest chance for a turn around might lie in the NFC. Not sure what they are waiting for, I think some Japanese/Nintendo equivalent of Skylanders might have far bigger chances to be their next ,,Wii Sports'' and catch a new casual crowd/heavily expand among kids. But instead they might still save up Wii Fit and all these other minigame copies from last gen with little to no effort to put in, not realising that their audience is gone.

Basically my suspicion as well. Nintendo seems to have just thrown shit in the WiiU with no immediate plan on how to make use of it. The NFC for example should've been used from day 1. No more idiotic cards to rub off. Just hold it to your gamepad, bam, funds added.

A NFC collection RPG with some actual effort in it could also go a long way.
Hell, NFC should be in the next Smash Bros. I would definitely get some Samus Aran figurines and my GF would go bonkers for Link, Zelda or Midna.

I agree, but that's really not something that I would get excited over. It's like buying a car and getting excited about it coming with four tires.

It's pretty obvious his Twitter was hacked. That would mean that Reggie interview is probably total shit.

Don't remind me of Nintendo bullying PG into making Bayonetta 2 Wii U exclusive, where it's bound to flop.

Yeah, Iwata was calling Kamiya names in class and wouldn't stop until he promised to develop Bayonetta 2 for WiiU.

It's true, I saw it on Polygon!
