There's basically no way, though, right? I mean, he's been gone for God knows how long at this point, presumably without supplies, in the wilds of the far North surrounded by wildlings and zombies and White Walkers and shit... and didn't they find his hand? Or something?

Plus he's a Stark, which means nature itself is out to get him.

I believe that the hand was from one of the bodies they found (and then one of them tried to kill Jon in Mormont's chambers).

The only sign of Benjen has been his horse showed up at Castle Black.

[*]Ser Barristan offered to help infiltrating Yunkai, yet Jorah refused and even confronted him, arguing that he should remain by Dany's side. Is it me or Jorah doesn't feel safe around Ser Barristan AT ALL? He really seems to have a mind prone to dishonesty.

This pissed me off cause I wanted to see Ser Barristan fight after all the build up we have had of him. Hope we see that soon.

[*]THE BLACKFISH GOT OUT BEFORE THE MASSACRE. I thought at first he had been slain with the rest of the people, but since he wasn't seen after the whole act I'm honestly thinking he saw something when he was soiling a tree and decided to haul ass after realising that he couldn't do shit.

Why does no one think he was in on it? The timing of his exit was just way too perfect.

Good post that, I enjoyed reading it. :D

Yeah, so what happened is shocking, but I'm sitting here looking at the third season as a whole and it hasn't been that interesting. It feels very scattered.

Really? I think compared to the previous seasons this one has been the most focused, certainly a LOT more focused than last season which was pretty hard to follow due to all the back and forth location changes.

To me season 3 proved that splitting the novels up rather than trying to cover them season by season may be working better because the show seemed more focused.

My biggest complaint is yet another year before we get to see season 4.. feels like a long way away.

I personally thought Season 1 was much, much more focused. And with the nature of 2 (contenders for the throne all coming together) I didn't think it was unfocused for it was.

The way he confronted Edmure was pretty telling. He also showed some actual love towards Cat. He's 100% loyal to the Tullies. My guess is that he may haul ass towards the Eyrie, but god knows what's going to happen with Littefinger trying to marry Lysa.

Edit: Some of that art... barf.

Everyone needs to join Team Stannis now Robb is gone.

Watch some of the DVD extras, especially that one about how Davos met him, and him being a badass during Balon Greyjoy's rebellion.

Also his view of morality, that your good acts and bad acts don't cancel each other out, is very fitting for the series I feel.

Agreed, Stannis is the best, last hope for justice in Westeros.

This season's soundtrack already hit Amazon and iTunes. Word of advice: just like it happened nearing the end of S2, one of the last tracks may spoil a bit of a surprise during the finale. This is speculation on my part, tho, it's not as clear as last year when the final track was named "Three blows".

Mods: Should we discuss it under spoiler tags like previews or should we let it be?

I think I may be the only person in this thread who thinks the Stark children will be the ones to deliver justice to Westoros in the end.

Hopefully Theon redeems himself too.

But screw Daenerys. She's not needed.

I don't know if its been mentioned because I got back and there were 4 new pages of posts, but...
Catlyn's sister lives in the VALE. Not the Veil.

using google "define: ____"
vale
/vāl/
Noun
A valley (used in place names or as a poetic term): "the Vale of Glamorgan".
A written or spoken farewell.

which makes much more sense than Veil...

Whatever you say, Kelly C.

Anyways, some observations:

  • Are some of Walder's daughters pregnant?
by the way, it was pretty clear that the beautiful daughter wasn't among those, right? I have that suspicion that Walder just hired some girl(killer?) to play the part. (I mean, there's no way that the marriage with Robb's uncle(?) was intended to be legitimate anyway after that massacre)

Someone made a gif of Silver Linings Playbook, an other member wanted a longer version SunhiLegend-style. I tried to make something, but I'm new at this, it ended up long and choppy. anyway:

Forget the Westerosi slaughtering each other, the Wildlings raiders, or that spoiled Queen half a world away. He's going to end up as the one that stops the White Walkers.

"He wont feel it though"

lol, brutal

Lemme just say, everyone gives shoutouts to Jack Gleeson for playing Joffrey so well that they hate him, but I want to give props to Iain Glen for playing Jorah perfectly. Those gifs from earlier are perfect evidence why. Such a subtle change tells it all. You don't have to like him to appreciate his performance. Lots of great nuances to it. Really great.

I like your new way of thinking, man. Stannis The Mannis!

I have hope for both Bran and Rickon really and Arya will become some badass assassin I'm sure...lol. I think Rickon is going to be forgotten about for a while but he has an advantage the other children didn't in that he didn't live a sheltered life behind the Stark's noble values. He's had a rough life and is learning to SURVIVE and there's no better person to teach him the importance of survival and doing what's necessary than a wildling that's experienced it and has that mindset.

I'd like to think that ten years from now, we'll be talking about Rickon's progression from a kid that has said like 2 words to a man who doesn't need to say words. It's stupid to get your hopes up though in a show like this, but I don't think the Starks disappear from existence entirely. At least we know Jon Snow will probably be around for a while to some people's disappointment. :P

The show is all about character growth afterall...

No idea how they're gonna end the season; I think I'll refrain from checking it out until next week.

That reminds me of the Phantom Menace CD, since it had telling track titles on it too. One of the tracks was titled "Qi'Gon's Noble End" or some bullshit like that :lol

Those are fan art of the book versions. Dunno why he posted them. lol

I know they are, just that one stood out to me as an interesting imagining of a mother of 5. Especially compared to that Lyanna who the Kingdoms basically went to war over.
