I'm fine with indie titles coming to the vita, but I just have no interest in Limbo or Machinarium. They just aren't my style of games. Still waiting on Velocity Ultra HD...

I love a LOT of modern shooters, but Valve games are top tier. There is no denying that. The love that goes into them is really something else. Not to mention that pretty much all of them somehow have an insane replay value and are better the second time around.
Anyway there's a new app or something out, right? What's it good for?

I'm denying it right here. Valve makes good games that people sometimes mistakenly revere as legendary. There's not a single valve game I've played that I would consider "classic" or must play.
And I disagree on the replay value too -- I at least consider the Portal games as well as Half-Life 2 and it's episodes to be one and done. Not interested in touching them ever again.
The L4D series and TF2 -- well, they're designed to be replayable, since they're multiplayer focused. Still, nothing that gripped me with them, either. I got bored of L4D when it launched on 360 within a week and sold it. I tried L4D2 and hated the changes. So yeah, I don't think Valve games live up to the billing that everyone else seems to think they should have. Are they bad games? No. Just not as good as advertised on forums/reviews/whatever when it comes to my opinion.

Agree to disagree then. I'd say Half-Life 1 is a pretty classic game, and for good reason.
Console games. Steam is kind of the same as PSN (except with more frequent and larger price cuts), but I don't think we'll ever reach the point of getting games as cheap as they are on PC until other retailers are allowed to sell PSN game keys like GMG or Amazon.
Limbo was always overpriced though, the game isn't really spectacular. It just had a standout art style that attracted people to it. Also, it's really short. Not worth the $15 at all.
Well, to be fair puzzles are really good. Surprisingly, since nowadays all games with puzzles are either too easy or badly designed. But yeah, I can agree that 15$ is definitely too much, I think I payed 5$ for it or something on Steam or even some cheaper bundle.

Yes, and it isn't only a few. Search for "preparing to download vita" on Google and there are numerous reports since mid April
I didn't mean to trivialise the issue, it's just I've only seen a few people mention it on here.
With that said, have you actually logged it with Sony support? I've had a gander through the thread on the official US forums and there's a lot of "me too" or people suggesting workarounds... but I couldn't see anyone that had gone to Sony (officially logging an incident, rather than a quick question on Twitter for example) for a response.
I've had to deal with their support in the UK on a few occasions and they've always been quick to respond, and pretty helpful.
Ouch, Toro's kind of steep if you're interested in the shop stuff. Most of it is paid-only, $5 for a starter pack.

I think it was meant as a "return to his roots/origins" maybe. As in being a 2D platformer, not 3D platformer as Rayman 2/3 had become?

Better off getting the free version and supporting it by spending that on the DLC instead, I feel.
So Target has 8 GB cards for $25, and I was thinking about getting one to supplement my 16GB card. How do multiple cards work with the system under one account? I've read that it might reset my bubbles, and I really don't want to have to reorganize my screens every time I switch cards.

XCOM seems the most likely though, it's already bound to iOS, very little effort to port I guess.

Granted, I don't think we'll get it (although I'd like it), but it's only 5.3GB on PS3. It's not too crazy to assume that, with a smaller resolution and smaller textures/geometry, it would make it under 4GB.

I just checked myself and, yeah, that is surprisingly small. It's starting to look good, haha.
Hopefully, if it does happen, it's a complete GOTY edition.
