Still waiting on Yakuza 5... come on Sega.

Well, we'll find out if we're getting Yakuza 5 at E3. Sega may have teased it recently, but we'll have to wait to find out.

After how good Yakuza 4 was (that one gaffer would disagree with me but whatever), it would be a gaming travesty if this game didn't come localized to NA or Europe. Sega pls.

Yeah, and we need the HD Collection... Which shouldn't be a problem since the translation is already done lol.

Naughty Dog surely have some new IP to show but probably not Uncharted 4.

Just hopes and wishes at this point. I was thinking UC:GA2 at E3 and UC4 at VGA personally

Whatever ND's next game is I am actually thinking its reveal/announcement at least could be sooner rather than later now. The news they will use an upgraded PS3 engine and that they may have even more staff than I thought combined with PS4 ease of development= Something sooner.

Also, Jak X: Combat Racing was released Oct '05 and the Uncharted reveal was E3 '06 ~18 months gap. Uncharted 3 released Nov '11....So ND's next game E3 '13? ~18 months.

Anyway I'm starting to get excited for E3 now. Got all next week off work due to a bad eye and will be watching (at least with one eye!) the conference live.

I think that Double Fine is doing one of those games (the surprise ones). They have a PS4 dev kit, Tim appeared in the dev reel, and they recently said in the Massive Chalice Kickstarter video that they have three teams (two teams for each KS, and yet another that is doing something). Just a thought into the wind.

And on an interview launching Massive Chalice Kickstarter Tim said they are platform agnostic and will develop on any platform that lets them self publish.

It's only been a year and a half since UC3, I'm not convinced they'll be ready. I think at most we get a teaser trailer with minimal gameplay.

They first showed The Last of Us at the VGAs about 22 months after Uncharted 2 released. If you took out some brainstorming time for how long it took to mull over a new Jak game and then come up with The Last of Us concept, that could get you down to the 18 months it's been since Uncharted 3...who knows.

Well, Disney killed 1313. So there's that.

I could see one of the EA games being 1313 or something like it. A Bounty Hunter SW game sounds like a potential seller. Nobody should expect Sony or Microsoft to actually have any SW game at their conference of course, as EA even said they're only going to discuss some plans for SW during their presser.

I have said before that ND operate like clockwork in development. It could change now that they are well over 200 staff though.

There's 18 months between Oct '05 and May '06?

NICE! :D I got a little confised at first thought this was the same announcement as War Thunder but nope, different game!

I wonder if this means PS4 gets alot of f2p MMOs as well.

Also, all these FTP games seems to indicate online play will still be free :)

That's a really good point. I can't see so many devs releasing f2p games behind a pay wall system.

Uncharted 4 is the only game I can think of that would be worthy of a "one last thing" type of announcement to close the show. Realistically anyway since the God of War team is probably only just starting work on that game and GT6 is a PS3 game.

Or Agent if it exists and is a the next big thing from Rockstar.

Sorry about that. It was the last game before Uncharted in the wiki and I wasn't paying attention (2am). But my theory works for Jak 3 the year before!

My main point is that it wouldn't surprise me that ND show a teaser at E3. I was expecting it at the VGAs before.

Time for bed I think...

I can now weep in person at Nomura's magnum opus. His gloriousness will burn my eyes with the amazing.

There's only one megaton that could be big enough to make faces melt: chance of FFVII remake coming back to save us all? lol

It would be big news based on the games history and the fact that it's the one remake everybody always begged for. Truthfully I don't know how many people would be that into it these days though. I've kind of lost interest and want something new that recaptures that 'old magic'.

Maybe Stig's next project is Agent. With the hiring of vehicle combat and open world hirings, it could be a collaboration with Santa Monica and Rockstar similar to the rumors of Sony and SquareEnix with the next Final Fantasy.

Yeah, I agree. The fans are extremely vocal but I'm not sure how many people would actually buy it. Certainly it would clear a couple million I would expect, but that's not that many these days.

What FF really needs is a world that people are excited for. No convoluted narrative with random names no one cares to comprehend. Just a big, explorable, believable (when I say believable I do not dismiss the fantastical) world that engrosses you, with a simple overall narrative and lots of optional side plots that support it but don't tangle it up. Characters that we actually care about would be nice too.

I can't imagine a remake of FF7 would have all of the charm of the original.

Cloud crossdressing, the honeybee inn, Cid's domestic abuse, the Tifa x Elena slapfight on the Junon canon, etc would all be censored in 2013+.

Pretty much. Just back to basics - open world, big towns, airships, a decent battle system, interesting story and a likable cast. That's all I ask... along with a great art style and soundtrack - but I still trust them with those.

And this time Aeris lives. People would riot.
