Oh man 7 glorious days to go. What you guys going to do before actually playing?

I'm going to make sure I'm well nourished and full, clean from a fresh shower and that my bedroom is sparkling from how clean it's going to be.

I have to fix my surround sound. When I went to play Uncharted 2 last night I found only one of the side speakers out of 5 was working. Pain in the ass.

The cables get loose very easily.

Seriously though, Ill pick it up, come home, and hope it comes with a manual so I can sit down on the toilet and do my "new game pickup dump while I read the manual" thing. Its a tradition ever since I was a kid.

Followed by cracking open a good beer and lighting a bowl.
 
I keep checking this thread thinking Sony or ND would do a favor for the gamer and just release this on PSN already. A man can dream!

I'm so hyped about this that I'm flying down for work on the 14th, have it preordered at a gamestop there and me and my buddy are going to get drunk (not too drunk hopefully) and play this. If it's 15+ hours I think we'd have trouble finishing it that weekend unfortunately!
 
Eh it was pretty obvious since the announcement. but ok, spoiler tagged.
 
I get the feeling that this is going to be one of those games where I play a few hours and then make some subconscious decision to not play it anymore because of fear that it will be over soon.

I did this to Uncharted 2 & 3. In fact I didn't even finish Uncharted 3 until a couple months ago.

I was also curious if the enemy begging mercy was in the final cut; can anyone answer this?
 
Seems like you guys are over it already (which is good), but I just read Polygon's review. The funny thing about it to me is it sounds like he tried to play it like Uncharted, whereas the more glowing reviews seem to make it pretty clear it doesn't play at all like Uncharted.

Nah its free shipping, ill take a chance on them i think. I got a similar deal but usually preorders through flubit come later, I was quoted a delivery date of between 19-24th June and I dont really want to take that chance. :P

You know what, my care is so much that I didn't really bother to check if OOT has been beaten already before posting...

So yeah, maybe The Last Of Us could become the greatest scoring game ever. I'd to see if that'd be possible.

ANY story beats should not be typed out at all I feel for the next week until their is a spoiler thread. I know this won't happen but still.
