The twist is that Verendus doesn't even exist, not even a user on neogaf. He's all a figment of our imaginations.
I will be so pissed if that guy turns out to be a troll. He has made a lot of promises

Well, you'd do well to be more interested in City of Metronome.
This was an interview from GDC, really great, check it out:

E3...is going to be bad. Things are about to drastically change.
From the Xbone details thread:
Does he mean E3 in general or just Microsoft's?
I'm listening to Giant Bomb's reaction

They say that EA, Activision and UBI specifically were pushing for DRM and a way for them to make money off of used games. Gamers want a target? There are your three musketeers.
Regardless of what Sony does, i'm not buying anymore games from those three.

wow he is just toying with us! this guy...
They kicked Wii U to the curb pretty quick and shareholders seem ok with it.
Next week should give us a idea of how things are going and what effect if any this issue is having on 3rd parties closing sides or staying in the middle.
Judging from Sony s silence on the subject I think they ether have bad news and are waiting it out or they are actively still working things out or they are going to walk out on E3 and make a big deal about no DRM. Should be a interesting week since I dont actually expect Sony to really comment on the issue.

And that's where we'll differ then. I think they can show up with just their first party stable of games for the PS4 and they'd be perfectly fine. I find their output since 2009 should do nothing but inspire confidence in the consumer. You know you'll be getting plenty of games from them. And arguably, the best developer going right now is under their umbrella. What's not consistent about them? And if you're referring to the rocky start for the PS3, then I'd just say it's clearly a very different situation.

I wouldn't worry too much. I believe he is credible if you really look into his wording.
Sounds like he may be a Sony employee. Probably he just let that word slip up and he didn't want us to know that he is a Sony employee.

So, anyone make bets on which conference Kojima will show up at to show off MGSV (between MS and Sony)? He didn't do it during today's Konami conference.

Ok didn't see the point of making a separate thread for this but I have a proposition for Sony E3 viewers watching the entire Sony conference from beginning to end.
4 forums member who PMs me with a quote of this post and want to chat in real time on Mumble voice chat service as we meltdown over reveals and talk about what Sony is doing right or wrong.
I don't want to have more than 5 people in a group including me as that gets too big imo.
This is first come first in. Make your own group if you want.
We will of course practice during the weekend to make sure this doesn't turn out to be a mess.
If it's not at the Sony conference they're going after the wrong audience...

Just posted on SSM's Twitter. GoW team playing "things to come". Looks like there will be a demo of their new game.
With any source or just speculation ?

No source, but they said it like they were certain that it's true.
It's Ascension DLC. Probably splitscreen multiplayer since there's a Vine clip of two people playing.
You guys didn't hear? Every 3rd party game ever made is an xbone exclusive.
eh. i think he means we as in him and the poster he is responding to differing. like we have different interpretations of the quote.
We already know the trailer is being released on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. It's not going to be at a press conference this year.
Ah, good point. I thought I saw the DS4 lightbar but I was wrong. No source, but they said it like they were certain that it's true.

You might be right but the way Verendus types like and has "information" on Sony. He comes across as a Sony employee.
Maybe he won't be in either of those.
The PES guys said that Fox Engine is not quite ready for next gen consoles and right now they're focusing on current consoles.
MGSV might pretty well be a PS3/360 game at this point and that's it for a good while. Next gen versions might be released later and I don't see many reasons for exclusivity. Kojima wants to go multiplatform and sees himself as a multiplatform dev these days. He won't stay exclusive to Sony because he wants a bigger audience, he won't go exclusive to Microsoft because he isn't fool enough not to know where the fanbase is.
It's anticlimatic but it's the most logic thing.

verendus has been a bulwark against anything crashing in on the ps4 hype wave
which is sadly why i think he's going to be banned on tuesday![]()

GiantBomb end their video by predicting that Sony's policy will basically be a copy and paste of what MS is doing.
Wouldn't be surprised, but Sony allows you to play games off the disc right? Installs aren't mandatory, so how will they spin it?
Man, what a mess this is going to be.
