I really think that color swaps should actually be costume swaps and in some cases character swaps. That way Dr. Mario, Falco, etc don't have to have their own player slot.
They really should just all be re-skins of each-other.

If dark pit is in the game as playable and not only an altarnate costume for pit (because thats what i really hope for smash 4, alt costumes) im going to be mad. Same with dark samus. Waste of characters slots they would be.by the way, nice twitter pictures

It's probably just an alternate costume. The outfit is the same and he doesn't even look that far off from Pit's black costume from Brawl.
Also, Krystal has to be in a good game before it's a good idea to put her in Smash Bros.
That pic is from April and that's when both Figma Pit and Figma Dark Pit came out so it obviously has nothing to do with the game.
This game will probably have clones but it won't be something like Dark Pit.
Says who? Krystal is from a Nintendo game, that alone makes her eligible.

She likely will, but man I hate the Other M design. It's sterile and ugly. Looks like an action figure.

Retro really is one of the top western devs when it comes to art design. The stuff they did with Prime and Samus' suits is INCREDIBLE

I could see this working, or heck, seeing as Uprising had multiple types of weapons, split them up between the two.

Android Jones is a god. Their character designs fall off drastically when he's not involved (see the MP3 NPCs).
I didn't like it either. The Phazon Suit and Light Suit are the best in the Prime games along with Dark Samus.
That's a fair assessment, but I hope Smash Bros isn't the proving ground for it. I guess I want the character I already know and love in it

Yes, exactly. If one plays as Samus with the standard suit and another plays as her with the Light Suit or something, both can't walk around with the same Zero Suit if they get the Smash Ball.
Then they're different colors after the Final Smash.

I didn't say she wasn't eligible. She just isn't very high up on the list of relevant characters in Nintendo's history. It would suck to not put in characters like Little Mac/Ridley/K. Rool/Isaac in and have someone from some of the worst, most forgettable games in a series. I'm not even saying Krystal is a horrible character, but there are way more important, interesting characters then putting in a fourth character in a series that honestly barely warranted three. I would rather they actually make Falco and Wolf into non-clones and give the new character slots to series that barely have representation already.
