Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

If the Vita is mentioned in a sentence without remote play, I will consider the conference a victory. Baby steps.

I'm not expecting much, tbh.
That way, I'm less likely to be disappointed if Sony drops the ball again.

EDIT: Top of page! Buy Soul Sacrifice if you haven't already! Preorder Muramasa Rebirth if you haven't played it on the Wii!
Also, here's the Starlight Inception info I posted earlier for those who missed it.

Now that I'm 100% digital, and Muramasa looks right up my alley, I'm sure I'll buy it from the PSN store, day one, especially if there's a discount. ;)

Flying Hamster HD and Soul Sacrifice DLC Tuesday! Crew crew!

Kind of a random question. I saved my data for Rayman and Lumines to my PC when I sold my cartridges. Will I have any issues if I re-buy these either in used form or digital? Like there should be no issue resuming my saves for either of those games, right?

I haven't saved locally but if it's the same as saving to the cloud it's exactly as you say. I've moved saves between the cart and PS+ versions of games

I just hope they don't treat remote play as a substitute for actual Vita games.

Depending on how it works, I think it'd be a good substitute for SOME game, especially for now.

It's reasonable to think that there are many games out there that are just too resource-intensive to put onto the system for now. And titles that are exclusive to the system are what it needs most.

I'd love to see it get some exclusive games built off the same engines, similar to how Capcom did with Case West / Case Zero, personally. Even if they were episodic, 3-hour mini-adventures for 5 bucks or so, I think it'd be a great way for developers to go for that "console-quality" feel, without breaking the bank instantly.

If this happens, I guarantee that regulars in this thread will be out for Sony's blood.

It's just so frustrating to see a console maker shit up their own product unbelievably when its such a great piece of hardware with oodles of potential. Just like the PSP I truly believe if Vita beyond belief turns it fate around it will be DESPITE of Sony, not because.

...So, about that hotline miami. Guessing that's one of the infamous "40". Sure hope it's not delayed again. Saved just enough for that and Runner 2...getting tired of waiting.

does anyone know how involved the quest stuff for home is? i want the freebies(psm games!), but i'm afraid i might end up in home's back alley equivalent.

I wonder what ratio of those 40 games are actually Vita and what ratio of those are actually standalone titles, not ports... :p

You mean there's a reason to use that mess on the PS3 now? I've only tried it once, and I never felt compelled to go back.

It should work, so long as it let you back the data up and you use content manager to restore it.

Nice, thanks. I keep wanting to buy Rayman and Lumines again but I always worry that there's gonna be some weird issue about restoring my own saves on a new cart or digital download.

I'll be more than happy with ports, as long as they are big ports (Borderlands 2, Diablo 3, Elder Scrolls, I'd even take Grid 2) or PSP to Vita ports of games like Type 0 and the Trails in the Sky games.

You can get Rymdkapsel free, so it's definitely worth enduring Home for a bit!

Oh and you can get into the Killzone Merc beta but it wouldn't surprise me if that went on PS+ too.

Sad that I'm sitting here debating whether it's worth it to "endure" Home for the free game. And, honestly, I don't think it is.

So what is O SO BAD about Home, anyway? It looked kinda Meh and Soulless when I loaded it up, but it looked like an interesting enough idea, for those that would enjoy such a thing.

What do "quest" normally have one do in Home, anywho? Answer a Questionnaire? Visit Web Pages? Scroll through a few pages of poster ads?

And I have to say, I'm impressed Sony is giving away two "premium" Mobile games for home, rather than just 2 of the cheapest they could find. Rymdkapsel is the perfect sort of thing to use, for a situation like this.

i'm doing it for Rymdkapsel and the Killzone Merc beta. if it's overly invilved i might just skip it though.

I'm pretty sure, as someone else said, that the Killzone beta will come to PS+ or there will be other ways to get it.

So I'm not going to reinstall Home on my PS3 just to get Rymdkapsel for free.

It survived a hammer of justice ;) what is a little bit of sand :D

Lolol surprised someone remembered that :) My vita has been through a lot. I really want to get through my backlog before the avalanche starts.. so busy though :( I'm sooo hyped for tomorrow, but also scared. Both for Vita and PS4 :/ they can screw up both.

Rymdkapsel is pretty good guys, just install Home and endure it for a while.
I would do it but I dont have a PS3 and already purchased the game :D

Vitabros (and sis ;) ) CAAAAAAN YOUUUU DIIIIGIIIIITTT?!!!!

Tomorrow will be a good day. No hype, just a little excitement. Can't be worse than last year. :)

I must've missed the initial announcement with all the ps+ offerings but it's nice that God Eater burst is gonna be on plus. Was always meaning to play that game or a monster hunter like game in general especially since PSP2 is still not vita compatible ;_;

What's all this? You install and "endure" Home on your PS3 for a while and then get some free Vita stuff? Does anyone have any more details, please?

As long as the Vita got more time than Wonderbook, it would still be a net gain over last year.

Wonderbook bombed as hard as that pet thingy before it, I don't think there will be more Wonderbooks.

Sony will need to focus on PS4 since Microsoft will go crazy with da One, now what they drop and cut to save time is PS3 crap, no need for us to hear "PS3 haz new gamez 10 yearz plan yall" and they need to drop sales graph and long talk and long useless devs talking about nothing( like Sucker Punch dude dramatic speech), just give Vita 10 to 20 mins and the rest of the 2 hours to PS4.

We said that this time last year, we got fuck all and here we are again this year, the Vita is still alive and we're saying the same shit again.

Vita is barely alive right now, and even publishers who supported it last year dropped it like Konami.

so if Vita don't get a good show that make it look better for gamers and if the retailer /boxed games lineup stay empty after E3 then there will be no Vita support in the year of World Cup.

I am actually a little surprised at just how little hype I have in regards to the Vita at E3. I don't know why. I mean, I know we won't get much, but I still figured I would be a little more excited. I guess I just feel like Sony is going to treat it either as a PS4 accesssory or [nearly] dead.

Sony will obviously focus on PS4, but Vita is in a very precarious state right now. If we get a repeat of last year, it's basically Sony giving permission for every retailer out there to pull Vita off their shelves.

It doesn't matter how good the post-conference floor demos or whatever look - Vita needs a strong presence in the press conference. The word "press" is right there.

Last E3 was the time for Vita to shine and they blew it. Even if they devoted half of the time to Vita it would still be overshadowed by the PS4. It's best to go in with low or no expectations that way you have a better chance of not being disappointed. I'm not really expecting them to do anything to increase sales at this point, i'm just looking at it from a selfish perspective like I did with the PSP and what can they show that interests ME and I will be happy with.

I Sonyfied the Dark Souls Nope GIF in case Sony ignores VITA at E3

*That's my first GIF so it looks crap

That is exactly E3 2012. Hopefully not 2013 as well. Nice work!
