Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

Its E3 Vita Gaf! be excited! we will have some good announcements for sure, Sony will deliver this time.

edit: buy Sound Shapes and Dokuro

Gonna play a little game to see how much hype I will have for Vita after all the E3 announcements.

Current Vita Hype level:450.
Hype value will change according to these announcements:

Hype +15 per item:
Rayman Legends, Batman Arkham origins spin-off, Killzone Merc footage, Tearaway footage, Jak & Dax HD, FFX/X-2 HD, Indies, new services.

Hype +300 per item:
Panopticon western announcement, Stick it to the man shown off on vita, Late ports or HD collections of games that interested me at some point, Larger Memory cards, Sahid walks on stage, Something new that doesn't interest me but seems good.

Hype +1000 per item:
Gravity Rush sequel, Something new and adventurey, Something new and survival horrorey, Rain and Puppeteer coming over, HDMI-out device, Something new and unexpected that I would like.

Hype -700 per item:
Vita ONLY gets a sizzle reel and indie stuff. Device gets touted as a remote play device more than twice or longer than 2minutes, New Vita model with HDMI-Out, Call of Duty, PSP games, PS Mobile, Just plain stupid/bad looking games, non-native res announcements (unless mentioned in another category) .

Instant Death
There is no Vita presence. Last Gaurdian is a Vita title. FFXIIIversus too. MGS game. TLOU port.

Bonus +20 or -20 for random noteworthy positive and negative news respectively.

Looking forward to a good score this year :)

This is a good post.

I am mildly hopeful for a couple interesting new game announcements for Vita.

Otherwise I admit I will be glad to simply get more FFX/X-2 HD Vita info.

I am probably too easy to please on this point. At least I don't have a huge pile of dreams to be shattered? I am still wallowing in my mutil-system backlog too, which may impact my need for more.

Expecting it to show up during a sizzle trailer of the hardware and maybe getting some mention of Remote play.

So anything positive (news/ games) will be a plus for me.

On a personal level, I think it's perfectly fine to be pleased with what's already known, and only hoping for a few reveals. There's already a stupid amount of games to play between everything now-a-days, and new releases get shuffled into a queue, rather than being "I NEED A NEW GAME TO PLAY!" material, now.

In a way, I think Sony understands this too, and this has an effect on how hard they push the system. It doesn't have to be the ONLY one gamers play, in order to be successful on it's own.

Shahid walking on stage locking arms with Notch and that dude what made DayZ. Haha, oh man, imagine.

Jack Tretton *looking at Andrew House* " Who is that dude on our stage?"
House "No idea"
Tretton "and what that thing he is holding is that a Black Wii U gamepad?"
House "I think it is called Vista?"
Tretton "the hell is that?..security please clean the area we have a PS4 show here"

Update: Livestream begins at 11:50am et./ 8:50am pt with a special PSVita worldwide reveal. Then our Xbox Preshow w/ Phil Spencer and Rare.

Is it stupid to hope for one of these games tomorrow?
GTA
SSX
SoulCalibur
Burnout
MonsterHunter
MetalGearSolid

I'd love to see a new Burnout for Vita, but I'm not sure how likely that is to happen. Even one for the home consoles would be nice. However, EA and Criterion seem to be giving this franchise a rest for now. They've hinted that Burnout is not a "dead" franchise, but it's been almost two years since the last one (Burnout Crash).

Now that I'm thinking about it, a retooled Burnout Crash (possibly with new levels) might be fun to have on Vita as a cheap downloadable game. They did an iOS version of the game previously.

it's more problematic than that, EA studios are switching to frostbite, and frostbite Go (using to downport games to andoid/iOS devices) do not support PSVita or 3DS, so in other words EA don't see a future in gaming handheld.

Sony actually repping PSM on the floor. Bet it's tucked away in a corner, lol.

Is that 4:50pm UK time? I think so?

Oh god it can't be THAT good surely, if it's being revealed on GameTrailers and not during Sony's presser?

Hyyypppee!

Megatons would be reserved for the press conference, however I don't think Game Trailers would bother with small potatoes either...

I think having a big Vita game then few moments later showing all that PS4 "next gen yall" stuff will make it look bad and people might not even remember it even if it was handheld megaton, so this might actually be smart way to show Vita big game.

That's like in one hour (?). Huh, I wonder what could it be? I feel a little bit hyped now :D Hopefully it's worth it.

I dunno, it's going to be 2 hours long, and not all of it will be riveting... They've got upcoming PS3 stuff to show off (
more Wonderbook titles are in development
), indies, and probably some PS Eye 2 functionality. They should be able to pace the conference to give any big Vita titles some breathing room.

So I downloaded Home again to grab Rymdkapsel. It just hangs at the you are preregistered for E3 screen. Classic Home.

Not expecting Vita excitement from E3. We already know that FF X HD will be on the showroom floor. Stuff like that will eat up the limited time at the press conference. And how excited are Vitacats gonna get when any new game announcements are stuff that was already rumored?

^Sour Sports who were expecting Demon's Souls sequel for no reason?

Cool looking free to play titles = Yes!

A PS3-exclusive app to earn Vita-exclusive rewards is really dumb, though.

As expected if a (vita)game is not revealed in the sony conference it's not big.
I'll probably like it but from sony itself i expect more.
