Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

I think it's cool, specially if they pay homage to some unexpected DS titles like Spirit Tracks

WiiU stages are probably bigger and way less convenient here

also everyone's gonna end up playing in something like Battlefield 24/7 anyway
A "The World Ends With You" stage, if that happens...*expectations rising*

Many of the regional links in the OP are broken, btw.

Also, there should be a Wii Fit soccer ball item? I doubt it's an attack since nothing Wii Fit Trainer was in that area of the press kit.

Yes, it's a bad thing. You can't follow up off of anything in Brawl the same way you can in Melee. This is because you can cancel hitstun with the air dodge, which also happens to increase your survivability (when you cancel the hitstun, you also stop some of the momentum that was incurred from the knockback).

There's loads of other things wrong with the engine I could list, a large sum of them amounting to shoddy coding on the developers part due to lack of time (despite how much they kept delaying the game...) Tripping and hitstun are only a small portion of what's really wrong with Brawl and what Smash 4 needs to stay away from or address/fix.

No you don't. If you want to reduce momentum you need to do an aerial attack, fast fall, and double jump.

And that's fine. I just don't want the same sloppy experience with Smash 4. I want there to AT LEAST be combos. I don't care about anything else as long as those exist.

I think combos are definitely not coming back. Out of all of Brawl's design changes from Melee, lack of air hit stun seemed to be a deliberate design decision, and not an oversight.

Oh, bitch bitch bitch.
I do agree Brawl was a sloppier game than Melee, but it still ended being my most-played Wii game. I just love this series, I guess.

Yeah but I ended up playing it a lot less than Melee. Of course the shit online didnt help, but the gameplay systems definitely had its fair share of influence.

Man, game looks fantastic and the inclusion of Mega man was awesome. Gonna love reading over the new few months and anticipating the character reveals.

I'm aware it was intentional. But people disliked it, surely if they know fans wanted Megaman they know fans hated tripping and hated how combos went away.

Now I want a live action Animal Crossing film starring Ryan Gosling as the "Villager".

I don't even want long combos, just some combos.

3DS version looks UGLY with those black borders. Wii U version looks nice, a little too much like Brawl but cleaner. Hopefully it looks better by 2014.

Are you saying introducing one character excludes a potential different character? Why would that be the case?

they can only work on x characters before they release the game due to budget and time constrains. Since Wii Fit Trainer is one of the characters, it's now x-1. How does that not make sense?

I'm hoping they reveal one more this week. I mean the set up is there on the main page. Made this up real quick. It is very possible.
That would be way too wide and mess the framing up. The site is designed to handle one newcomer and two veterans per row.

The main page changes according to the window's resolution, so there's no real pattern there. The layout you see isn't the same everyone else sees.

Because they got rid of ROB. Wait, is that not how it works? Either way, I don't see him returning. They already got the Villager and the Trainer for Nintendo gimmicks.

I hope so. The Brawl model seemed almost like it was pulled from TP
But TP was in development long before Brawl even came out. Pretty sure Link's design was locked down for a while.

Game development is way more complicated than that.

Well Gematsu said a tip was right about Wii Fit Trainer, with said tip saying that Little Mac, Pac-Man and Mii would be announced this E3, so who knows?

Mega Man looks absolutely perfect, I would pay insane amounts of money for a 2D platform with that style, come on Capcom, do it or just sell the IP to Nintendo/Sora :D

Where the hell is Captain Falcon, at least give me that Fucking Dumbtendo -_-

All the returning characters introduced were the ones in the original 64 opening. They're like the world warriors for street fighter, series staples. The exception is Pit taking Yoshi's place because Pit is Sakurai's baby.

That is pretty funny. I loved the reactions when everyone though it was Wii Fit.

That may have been one of the best unintentional(?) trolls I have ever seen in my e-life. That alone justifies Wii Fit Trainer, as if she wasn't already awesome.

Most hyped for Villager, but that could easily change. I wanna see if my returning favorites still click with me.

I didn't want to be hyped this, but it's got me a little bit

I'm still going to wait to see whether they have to have a decent set of items (brawl's were all overpowered or useless), a non-nightmare-inducing adventure mode that that only uses assets from existing franchises (the Yellow Devil in the Mega Man trailer looks like that may be the case) — so that we get a good crossover "story" that the series has deserved for so long — and competent online.

Glad they finally have a train level, even if it's only on 3DS.

Any possibility that Villager can have their appearance be customized? I wonder if players' Animal Crossing: New Leaf character can be imported.

Not really. It could easily be a Kirby stage too...tho the ring has a smash logo.

It has more similarities with the Punch-Out ring, but a dedicated stage doesn't 100% confirm Little Mac, though it's close.

I really want Isaac in this thing :(
He certainly deserves it.
