The best thing about this is NINTENDO IS NOW PLAYING WITH A HD!~ DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT!! With The Wii version Brawl it was an afterthought! this time no sir! Online will be huge IMO.

Did they confirm DLC characters and stages at Nintendo Direct?
If so, I'm a little worried...they could sell the game with a stripped-down roster and try to sell you returning characters as DLC.

Wouldn't be Smash Bros if people weren't already complaining about terrible it is for X character to be taking Y character's spot on the roster, even if it's not even 24 hours after the first reveal.
Characters like Wii Fit Trainer are what give Smash Bros the charm that Battle Royale lacked.

Damn I pretty much hate that entire line-up, Little Mac being the least offensive on there. Waluigi better be a no-brainer. I'm totally fine with left field stuff like Game & Watch, but I really don't like stuff like Mii, Village Psycho and Pac-Man hasn't been relevant in forever. Wii Fit trainer could eventually grow on me, maybe.

Is there tripping? I'm not buying it if there is. Only reason I bought a Wii and man was I disappointed. And does this mean Sonic and Snake are out, Mega man is in?
They didn't talk about DLC, but it's a no-brainer for a fighting game like this.

Also bought a Wii purely for Brawl. I so wanted it to deliver, but it just didn't. Have been playing some Brawl Plus lately and the tweaks there made it so much better.
In a vid with sakurai and someone battling with megaman and Mario, no one tripped so it's looking positive.
I would be shocked to see it brought back after the near-universal negative reception.

From what I've heard, they were informed of six characters, but since they were not credible, they did not spread the rumor. However, with the reveal, three of the six have been confirmed. Yes, even Wii Fit Trainer. Therefore, they saw fit to share the remaining three characters.
But who knows?
This is Nintendo not Capcom, they will make a full game, then add DLC later

I know that we've seen two Final Smashes, but has anyone been able to spot a Smash Ball as of yet? I tried looking through all the known videos and haven't noticed it. Of course, this doesn't mean much, but it's fun to speculate. I'm also certain that tripping has been removed.
The boxing arena is covered in generic Smash Bros. logos rather than Punch-Out!! imagery, and Villager has a boxing glove move. I think those are two pretty significant blows against Little Mac, unfortunately.

What if it has a story mode, and psycho villager is just the character and he slays nook in the end.
There needs to be a "villager" survival horror game.
If there is no hitstun and combos it doesnt seem like that was even a blip on the development radar.
I would love for the final smash to come from you earning it through out the fight and not random but who knows
