This is brilliant. I'm imagining almost some crazy hybrid between the Ice Climbers and the Zelda and Sheik dynamic. Two characters, like Chrom and Lucina, with their own distinctive movesets with the secondary character moving in for follow-up attacks, and you'd be able to freely swap between the characters. Final Smash would be a double-procced crossover Aether from both sides of the opponent!

Eh, I think that might be better just as a final smash.

I loved watching Super Smash Bros U in action when the Japanese developer was actually talking about it. the Graphics are beautiful. Maybe this will be the first Smash Bros I purchase. The Wii Fit Trainer and Villager Joins the Fight videos are in both the 3DS and Wii U videos sections of the eShop. That's why I'm pretty certain that they'll be in both versions. They might not have 3DS pictures of them yet because perhaps the character models aren't entirely done yet.

As for the Marth thing. No. Use normal Marth, because he's the main face of the entire series. Not her, no matter how much she looks like him, she isn't Marth. Chrom is going to advertise the game, and even then like another poster said. By the time the game actually comes out, Awakening will have long past and there won't be a need for advertisement.

It's a theory that harkens back to the pre-Brawl days, where if a character is present in a stage's background - they cannot be playable. It was mainly used to argue against Tom Nook's inclusion, though it was also applied to a few others. It held true for the most part. In Sonic's stage, when a group of characters run through the loop - Sonic is not among them. There also isn't any instance where a playable character is used as stage decoration.

But since it'd be downright foolish to get rid of Toon Link at this point (at least IMO), I think it's fair to say the theory is no longer valid.

also in brawl if you play as one of the star fox characters, you can get the ones you didn't play as as well as the others to talk to you from the background of their stage.

Did not mean wolf, or whoever wasn't in the game, they were just apart of the background because you weren't playing them. This is a common practice in fighting games.

I completely agree. I honestly think Toon Link, in some variant, is sticking around. I don't see any issue with ST Link, despite them both being what is essentially the same thing. I'm actually quite excited for that stage, it looks hella fun.

Young and Toon Link were my mains in the Melee and Brawl respectively, so I'd be very disappointed to see him go. Even though I now main Pikachu/Ness, I feel like Toon Link will remain one of my favorites.

They're clothes and looks are exactly the same. Smash Link just has brighter colors to match the Smash palette. Even down to the blue under on the gauntlets and chainmail and boot style.

Finally have some news on the new SSB and it was awesome in gameplay.

However the E3 trailer was lackluster when compared to Melee and Brawl even though it had gameplay. I hope that the CG animation is as epic as it was for Melee and Brawl.

Megaman being in the game is amazing! However I'm not sold on Villager and Wii Fit Trainer.

Watching the gameplay its nice to see the improvements and its in HD!

But I'm not happy with Link's aerial recovery still being so terrible. I hope they fix that or buff his strength to compensate.

Megaman looks OP with those air attacks and the flame attack which did 50% damage I believe. !
