I want a happy balance between SSE and Melee adventure mode.
Like, an overarching story that has a plot, but takes place in different Nintendo worlds and can be completed at your own pace.
As clunky and repetitive as SSE was, it made me squeal with fanboy joy when I saw Mario and Link dodging lasers together.

Honestly, I love the 3DS one way more. I think its just the bold lines and saturated colors, making it feel like its some type of art.
But I do love the WiiU version as well! Its better than Brawl for sure.
I seem to recall people finding various clues in leftover code on the Brawl disk that seemed to point to Dixie having been in development for Brawl... so perhaps with her appearing in Tropical Freeze, they will put her in the new Smash Bros.

Exactly so you just make characters ganon and zelda to concede to his art style. They might look a little twilight princess-ish but they will probably have some difference major/minor differences in apperance.

See, that's why I'm not committing myself to Trainer yet. They might, I dunno, reveal Ridley or Simon Belmont. Then I gotta play those first, y'know?
Also, revamped Bowser is really tempting, he was shit in Melee and Brawl, but I still loved playing him, he was my main for a considerable amount of time in both games (always came back to Samus though). So hope he'll be better.

I slept through the Direct so I had no problem watching it on my 3DS a couple hours later while eating, er, brunch, lol.
Wii Fit Trainer though, omg XD The Villager seems like a weird choice, but I haven't played AC so maybe I'm missing something important, lol.
I haven't played SSBM/B [other than randomly/casually with friends] since the first one [I bought my N64 with that game and couldnt stop playing XD], so I hope this one turns out to be fun and newb friendly ^^;
Anyone think there could be a slim chance of a Megaten character making it into this? Maybe? I mean there's SMT x FE and SMT IV coming out on Nintendo systems... I just think obliterating everyone with Hitoshura/Demi-Fiend would be epic XD But I have a feeling Jack Frost would be the choice character if it happened.

It's... possible, but I don't think so, to be honest. SMT seems kinda ... I dunno, grim, in a game where you have Mario, Animal Crossing dude, Pikachu and the Wii Fit trainer duke it out.
I mean, imagine the SMT trophy gallery... Bara, Lucifer, shit'd be crazy.
Also, I don't think we'll see 3rd parties that won't bring in a lot of people - Mega Man, Snake and Sonic all are wildly popular.

There was no better feeling when I was you get logging onto the smash dojo to find new information daily about brawl. I loved seeing new reveals slowly, whether it be an item, stage or more importantly, a new character. I really really hope they bring the same way of revealing stuff. I would cream my pants.

The thing about this game is that we don't really know if they've added new mechanics yet. All we have are the new stages and characters.
I really hope there's some kind of new gameplay element. Smash Balls were amazing last time, there HAS to be something crazy cool this time.

Well it's not like MGS is all sunshine and rainbows and we got Snake last go around. I'd say it's somewhat possible, since Atlus has been putting a bit of titles on the 3DS and SMTxFE is in the works, but just somewhat possible. Not "expect it guaranteed" but it's definitely not as much of a long shot as it would have been in a previous Smash.
In terms of the crowd appeal though, yeah you got me there.
