PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

Wait, how do I download the U3 stuff seperately?

I have 40 GB free right now, so I was gonna' download the SP and then the movies. Isn't it 12GB each?

Add it to your cart, start the dl, cancel it. Now go to your download list and you'll see the separate parts. Cut out the dumb language packs/3d movies/mp/sp/whatever and you'll save yourself some space/time.

Going to try asking this again with complete clarity:

If I have a 30 day trial of Playstation Plus and I DON'T already subscribe to plus can I:

1) Use the code to give my 30 day trial in the middle of this month and then have it end 30 days later from when I started my trial?

2) Do I get the games that are given out for this month and next month instead of just this month only?

3) Do I have to actually download those games to let them be associated with my PS Plus? i.e. if I don't download them or do anything with them at all will I not have access to them later if I let my subscription lapse and pick up the subscription again later on?

1) Yes.
2) Yes.
3) No, you don't have to. You have to "buy" them in the store though. Best to do it via webstore, since you can add multiple items to cart. If you're doing it on the PS3, where there's only the "download" button, you can just cancel the download immediately. Once a game appears on your download list (account management → transactions → download list in your XMB) it stays there as long as you are subscribed and will become available again whenever you resubscribe.

THANK YOU! Answered all my questions.

This Euro Uncharted 3 fiasco is really iritating. How on earth do you split a game up into 3 files, forget to upload one (movie pack) and prevent people from playing single player if they haven't downloaded the multiplayer pack? This is far more complicated that it should be. The ironic thing is I was about to grab Uncharted 3 from amazon the other day by settle on different games due to the fact that is appeared on psn plus. Digitial downloads have a LONG way to go if they want me to abandon physical discs :|

Really?! This is an honest concern?

Sony is gonna Sony.

What a fucking mistake installing this Uncharted 3 stuff was. 90 minutes in and I've only installed the single player game and 70% of the 2D movie. Glad I didn't have to download all the bloody 3D stuff.

Yeah, I think I might just run out and grab a copy instead of all this effort.

My initial disappointment that I already owner Uncharted 3 is rapidly diminishing as I watch this unfold. God knows how I'd make the room for it on the HD anyway.

Bit late to the party about the new annual games. Not overly excited about any of them - wanted to try X-Com but pretty much know it's not going to be the kind of thing I get into. Am ok with this though as still gonna get another couple of games in a months time.

Waiting on a deal to pop up to set up a couple of more years on Plus in anticipation of the Ps4 dropping.

Question: If I wanted to play Uncharted 3 in single player, which files should I be downloading?! (US)

Single player campaign, one of the two movie files (depending on if you want 2D or 3D) and multiplayer (yes, apparently you need the multiplayer installed to play single player).

The movies have been uploaded to the EU PSN. Go to the Instant Collection and select Download again (it will appear as if you hadn't bought it yet). The movies are now in the Download List.

shit I wish I knew this yesterday. Ended up downloading everything overnight....have a lot to clear up now

I wonder if I'll be able to go through my old download que of PS3 + games and eventually download them on my PS4.

That....would be nasty

Wow... $50 for the following titles:

Chime Super Deluxe

Dead Space 2
Rock of Ages
Retro/Grade
Red Dead Redemption
Crysis 2
Cubixx HD
LIMBO
Batman: Arkham City
Mortal Kombat
Mortal Kombat VITA
Big Sky Infinity VITA and PS3
F1 Race Stars
Lumines Electronic Symphony (PS Vita)
Mass Effect 3
Dead or Alive 5
Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (PS Vita)
Puddle (PS Vita)
God of War 1 HD
Okami HD

Hitman Absolution
Catherine
Sine Mora (PS Vita)
Velocity Ultra HD (PS Vita)
ICO and Shadow of the Colossus HD
Kingdoms of Amalur: Rekoning
Rayman Origins (PS Vita)
Coconut Dodge Revitalised (PS Vita)

I think that could actually be justifiable. Perhaps not when the PS4 launches and we might not see as much discrepancy between games offered, but still.

Are these all available as of right now? Just purchase a PS+ card from Best Buy for $40 so that would be great if I could still get in on those.

Like stated above, you don't have to download the game, just 'purchase' it from the store. You can cancel the download once it starts and it'll stay tracked as 'purchased'.

That's what I do since my hdd is almost out of space. Every time a new set of games comes out, I just purchase everything and then cancel the download so that I can go back and dl it again later when I want to play it and can free up space on my disk.

you can even do this online too, right? Purchase and add it to the download queue and then remove?

What about your two PS4's activated on the same account? Do they still both get to play the MP? Has Sony said anything about that.

What do you mean? Do you mean two PS3s we have now? No Plus needed for PS3 MP.

Or do you mean do we get to activate two PS4's on one account and use the account on both at the same time? Or one PS4 uses the Plus account and the other PS4 a non plus account for MP?

If you mean two players game sharing with one account playing multiplayer simultaneously or against each other, I'm pretty sure that wont work. I haven't tried it though, so let us know if it does.

It was indeed a code in the box on disk, after original reports saying it would simply activate when you logged into Steam. Not sure about the download version, sorry :(

Hmmm, sounds like it's just a retail copy perk afterall. Guess I'll just have to decide whether spending an extra 10 bucks is worth a physical copy and a 'free' copy for PC. Thanks for the reply.

It does not work on PS3 to run the same account and play MP at the same time on different devices. So I don't image it will on PS4. The only different might be using a separate account on the second PS4.

But that's something we can't test until its out. And they have not clarified that very specific situation so far.

They said this is exactly what gaiki is for. Downloading PS3 and older games.

I would think that Gaikai would let you stream PS3 games, but not download them because they're essentially going to have to be emulating them on some PS4-compatible setup. Since you can't do it straight off the PS4, or at least they won't let you do that, I'd assume that the processing power necessary to do that will not allow you to simply download the game and run it natively on your own hardware. So you can play PS3 games on PS4, but only if your internet connection is good.

That's the list for Europe, and I don't know if all of those are still available, since some games become unavailable to new users after a while (if you downloaded it while it was available, you have it as long as you subscribe to PS+).

Sooo...anybody actually gotten Uncharted 3 to work with just the Single Player Experience and 2D movies installs? I finally downloaded and installed both, but no Uncharted 3 game icon appears in the game section. Do I have to install more? I don't know how much room I have left...

You also have to download the 4 gig mp pack. I did the same as you, and once the mp was downloaded the UC3 icon appears.
