Downloading it right now and it's 12GB:| I guess you're counting irrelevant multiplayer.

Edit- Wait?! You need to download the garbage MP mode for UC3 to play SP? Ugh. Fucking Sony.

Right now the download list looks like this:

Add-On:
UC3 MP French 770MB
UC3 MP Spanish 805MB
UC3 SP 3D 10.3GB
UC3 SP 2D 12.5GB
UC3 SP 11.1GB

UC3: DD Multiplayer Free to Play 4.6GB

Fucking stupid Sony fashion. What do I need just to play the SP?!

Do I really need to download French and Mexican to play the game in English?! Ugh.
I'm fairly confident you can just cancel all the downloads except for the SP file (maybe keep one of the cutscene files). They aren't actually giving the full game away, they are giving PS+ members the single player game just like they did with starhawk. Then they are throwing the F2P version of UC3 multiplayer in the download as well.

But yeah, you can absolutely cancel the language packs. I didn't download them for the F2P UC3 a while back and it works fine.

I'm downloading the single player right now. I'll try to run it without any cut scenes as well and let you know how it goes.

If I purchase a Vita with PlayStation Plus, what games do I get? Do I get the free games from the past? Or just the current month?

There was a site that specialized in selling Live subscription codes for cheaper than the normal price. Is there anything like that for PS Plus that anyone knows of?

Hey I haven't been able to find a definitive answer about this and can't make a topic myself to ask. Does anyone know if, without owning a PS3 or Vita, I can buy PS+ and horde games by "buying" them through the webstore at https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com ?

Or will I get a message saying something like "this game cannot be added to your account because the proper console is not associated with it"?

I'm sure it will work. I add all the vita games with no problems even though I don't own a vita.

Just a quick question, with playsttion plus can I buy say an American membership and have the code work on my Australian account or are they region locked?

Any idea if I still get Uncharted? It's part of this bundle bullet points:

Yes, Uncharted is still part of the ICG.

They are region locked. If you bought an US PS+ subscription you have to set up an US account.

Ok that's cool thank you. Will have to buy an Australian membership.

Another question, I'm sure they mentioned for PS4 that if you buy a PS+ membership any account on the console can play online is that right? And if so what happens if one is an American account and one an Australian? Or is it too early?

So with the news that PS4 is going to require PS+ for online, I figured I'd ask you guys. Does getting PS+ let everyone on your console get the benefits? My wife plays games too and I'm wondering whether we will both be able to play online (separately) with one subscription on our own accounts on PS4.

Yes.

Yup they confirmed it in a recent interview with GaintBomb

With one PS+ account you'll get online multiplayer for all accounts on the PS4.

If it works the same way it does on PS3, you'll also be able to play all PS+ games on any account on the system regardless of which downloaded it.

Hmm, for some reason the SEN website seems to think I have 3 activated PS3 systems. This shouldn't be the case, as I only have one PS3.

They're named "My PS3 System", "My PS3 System 2" and "My PS3 System 3", and don't appear to have any identification methods like serial numbers or anything like that - so I don't know which is my PS3 and which are the two I can get rid of.

Is the easiest way to solve this to just deactivate everything and then log in on the PS3 and my Vita, and everything will re-activate automatically for those two systems?

Or is it more complicated than that?

For those who are unaware, you can get a 30 day trial of PlayStation Plus by visiting the E3 booth on PS Home. Usual restrictions apply - new users only, etc.

Just deactivate all the consoles, then activate your used console manually from account management on the PS3 system itself.

So I started to download UC3 yesterday. I have a pretty nice connection but since it's a 40GB download, it still said it would take around 11.5 hours.

Woke up today to a YLOD. Goddamnit.

Before any asks:
  • Yes, it was in a very well ventilated, open area
  • Everything was dust free and clean

As already noted, deactivate all of them and then activate the one you have.

Then change your password just to be sure.

Uncharted 3 SP is up on the UK web store and it's 11GB but it says in the description that you also need to download the free MP mode for it to work.

Someone help me out here. PS all stars is on sale for $14 on PSN. Is this cross buy? I plan on getting a vita soon and am hoping to use every cross buy option available to me.

Don't recall. At worst you probably need to start redownload to update license and then stop download.
Thanks. Just deactivated everything then changed my password and activated the Vita. Everything seems to be working fine, thanks for the help.

Yeah for U3 the free multiplayer 4GB file is what stays with all games and starts the game, then you have access to everything after it starts up. The other files were stored in the Game Install Data folder mine was like 24GB, only downloaded single player file, multiplayer and 2D movie files. I guess you cut that down to Around 13GB without the all movie files but was not able to test that. Really if you have the room you really should keep that file, but could see how many with limited space just want to play it anyway they can. This is for US verison though

So in short, I can't play the single player mode on a launch 60GB PS3? :(

Yes it's cross buy.

It's cross buy put if it's not a game that gives you a insta-plat on the vita after you've done it on the PS3 your NEVER going to want to do arcade mode with all characters again (I STILL don't have the plat because of these, and I got the ps3 version at launch.)

Thanks for the Uncharted 3 downloading tips, all! I was able to free up enough space to start the essential single player components (Single Player Experience, 2D movies) downloading. As a big fan of the first two games who never got around to this one, I'm looking forward to checking it out.

On another question, I know it's been covered before, but does anyone know if there's a general rule regarding PS+ games working with existing saves/info from a hard copy of that saved game? I bought a cheap copy of Saints Row a while back and played it a bit, but now that it's coming on PS+ I'd like to sell it and want to make sure I could continue with my saved games from the hard copy.

Yup, this is the case. I was confused for a bit when the icon didn't show up on my PS3.

So in short, I can't play the single player mode on a launch 60GB PS3? :(
You should be able to. Start the downloads, and then your PS3 should say there isn't enough room. Then go back to the XMB and go to your download history. Download each item individually and install them. You can also skip the downloads for language packs and probably at least one of the cutscene files. (there is one for 2D and one for 3D.)
