As SE had already stated - now they're concentrating on FF X/X-2. Further plans will be announced after finishing/releasing it.

I know :( i just hope that they make ff type 0 before filling vita with all the bravest clones trash...

On ps3, if you use remote play and have the tv on then do the screens just mirror each other, or does it only run on the vita? Sorry for this uninteresting question.

finally got round to finishing strangers wrath. Great game. Just never seem to play many games start to finish without huge breaks these days. Guacamelee was the first game I did that with in ages. Anyway well worth getting if anyone here hasn't already.

I would like to hear more about remote play but they clearly arn't showing it off yet. If it turns out it works almost lag free then I might actually get a PS4. However I have my doubts I could sit in bed on my Vita with the PS4 in the living room and get a playable experience. Time will tell I guess.

Man I'm so sad I can't see a use for this remote play stuff anymore. I'm moving to a one room apartment so my tv will be right there anyway. I COULD use the remote play on Vita whenever the gf were occupied with the tv though ;)

Maybe it will come in handy after all.

seems like Kotaku has good things to say about Vita's E3 showing (on the showfloor)

This is pretty awesome, especially coming after that load of BS Pachter was saying, "Vita is dead" ... it really sucks when a lot of media/journalists are just waiting for it to die. Love my Vita.

I got my Animal Crossing 3DS for my birthday btw, but it will never replace my Vita, or will I like it more than my Vita :) It's awesome tho, happy to have both handhelds again.

Edit: That Kotaku video was really refreshing. Great job Stephen!

That's basically what I'd use it for 99% of the time.

Like last year's E3, there are a ton of Vita games on the show floor. The problem is that nothing big was shown at Sony's conference. There wasn't even a Vita montage. >.>

Random question, but what do you guys use to clean dust in the cracks of the Vita's d-pad/buttons?

I'd like to know this too.

I downloaded it and played it for a few minutes. seemed fun. I'm no artist but it was simple enough to use. I did get asked to link my twitter a few times.

The twitter integration is nice. It makes the application a lot more social. I dunno if you can view the "timeline" of submitted art from twitter without an account link but some of the things people have done with the app is mindblowing in how it's possible to do that on the system.

Cyber Clean, it's basically that gooey stuff that they used to sell that you could use to make fart noises with but whatever... it works VERY well at getting the dirt and dust out of very small cracks.

this is the same as this

This Totilo dude might just saw Vita for the first time or something.

the "Vita haz no gamez" is about the retailer lineup and AA games (and system sellers) which aside from Killzone Declassified Vita got really nothing and this problem didn't get fixed in this E3, I don't think minis ports and multiplat (the game he showed in his video) can convince people on Vita.

Is it just me, or Epic Mickey 2 is really looking that good? We were all laughing when it was first announced, thinking it was a quick cash grab with poor performance. The E3 gameplay videos make the game look like a quality version. My eyes might be playing tricks on me but it seemed like it looked better than the PS3 demo I played a while ago.

link for the video please?

Epic Mickey 2 is a very bad game anyway even when it run a decent framerate, but yea I'd like to see if there is any improvement over the really ugly screens they showed before.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Epic Mickey 2 on the Vita. The PS3 version was pretty bleh in every way, but, for some reason, the fact it's Sony themselves doing the port makes me think it might end up being markedly better.

Well, I know Retro City Rampage ended up being much more enjoyable on the Vita than anywhere else that I played it... maybe Epic Mickey 2 will end up being the same way.

Maybe it's because I was expecting the worst? Not sure how the framerate is exactly but I didn't notice it dipping from that first gameplay video.

thanks.

going with the offscreen video, it look like it run better than the Wii U version (playable framerate here) and look way better than Ratchet FFA Vita.

I guess they did a decent work on the port, but sadly the game will still sucks epic rat balls.

both are horrible horrible games.

if it's because you actually like to play on handheld then it's a-ok, but if you are getting most likely inferior versions just because of weak lineup or that you feel sad for Vita..then..well it's a hardware and don't actually feel anything.

i'd say get the version you prefer or that is better and offer better gameplay experience, Vita is just a device and don't owe you anything.

Yeah, Im just tryna make myself feel better. Im fine with the Vita versions though as my current lifestyle caters to portable play so it ends up making sense anyway.

The great thing is besides a slight graphical downgrade, these games dont feel inferior in the slightest to me.

Well... It seems Jak Collection runs good for Vita ay? Hmmm wondering if I should grab that too. My PS3 version gets no love... and now Ill have 2 Jak & Daxter TPL trophy sets :X

I completely agreed with you on RCR before I played it on the Vita. Then I realized it was simply a mediocre game that was much better suited to the handheld arena. It didn't suddenly become a good game just because it was on Vita, but it became not an awful mess. Somehow.

The power of Vita.

I was surprised when i saw the unit 13 screen i took, on vita the game looks awesome, but on screenshots it's almost horrendous, maybe it's the same for epic mickey 2.

The same for me but with limbo, i hated it on ps3, while on vita it feels way better.

Crazy conspiracy time: I'm beginning to think that Rayman Legends on Vita won't get a retail release in North America. Maybe it won't get released here at all.

I looked at various sites (Canada and US) and I can't find any that has it listed on pre-order. Meanwhile amazon.co.uk has it.

Plus, they don't bring games to the E3 show floor that aren't coming to NA as far as I know.

so why they have Velocity Ultra in there?

Has the NA PSN release been rejected? I thought it was in QA right now.

EDIT: Looking at Epic Mickey, I think I'll get it... it looks like something my son will enjoy playing. Sigh... my wallet will surely cry at this rate. I want about 15 - 20 of the games shown at E3, plus there are a few games already released that I still want to get (like Rayman, LBP and LIMBO, to name a few examples). Then I plan to get a PS4, an extra controller, the PS Eye (mostly for Just Dance cause the family loves it), some PS4 games for me...

This is gonna be an expensive year.

Unless they radically changed the game optimizations aren't going to make it "better."

The Vita is powerful. But it cannot salvage RCR.
Epic Mickey 2? That might be okay though. ;)

Maybe it's only for the fact because the colours are more vibrant with the OLED screen. If there's one thing the vita taught me, it's how colours can make the games more appealing. I've noticed this with other games too.

Nice list of games shahid posted to twitter yesterday - did we know about Gunslugs btw? any media for it?

I play that sometimes on my xperia play, the game feels kinda messy with low damage bullets flying everywhere (that you can pretty much shrug off) and many different instakill explosives. The latter are pretty much the only way to die and they can be hidden in the chaos pretty well, whether it's a small grenade thrown by a random enemy, a hopping mine, a land mine or just a shot down chopper crashing into you.

I'm dropping truth bombs on Twitter today (@IMissBionix)

Also, pretty pissed about Mercenary Kings only being on PS4. I sent Shahid that, and said I wanted it on Vita, lol.

Haha, I asked Shahid for Mercenary Kings on Vita, too!

Some games are PS3/4/Vita cross-buy now, but I'm guessing this one hasn't been announced as such. :/

For some reason i was expecting this and don't starve being vita games :(

Well we should be able to play it via Remote, but I'd love to be able to take Don't Starve with me everywhere and have it optimized for the Vita platform. I've already put 30+ hours into it on the PC.

The problem is they haven't even optimized it for PC yet, (there are still memory leaks and graphical glitches EVERYWHERE) so I doubt we'd get it on Vita anytime soon. It's kind of a mess. But it's a beautiful mess.
