Could someone please help with this? I'm at the beta client, but what am seeing is World - Account - Support - Manual. When i click on World, it's only shows servers, but the names are just text, and i can't click on them.

You don't click on any of those. You log in in the upper right, and then click the play button that shows up after that.

On the screen with all those options, at the top right there should be log in fields asking for name/password. sometimes that takes a few minutes to load in. Might try restarting the launcher too.

The top right area of the launcher is supposed to show the login boxes, it takes a while for it to load for me sometimes so possibly if it's too bogged down it doesn't. Try to relaunch it a few times.

Nope, but you can move around anything in the interface.

Are different races better at specific Classes/Jobs.

There is slight racial differences in stats at lvl 1, but not enough to affect balance, especially not in the higher levels. Choose which one you want to play as based on aesthetic.

They learn some. You'll get aero and stone early on. But no, the real offensive mage is thaumaturge.

Also just pressing Enter activates the input box for whatever channel you typed to last.

The game was a little laggy, but it's pretty nice so far. Didn't have a chance to do much yet as I was mostly running around the city completing basic quests that are supposed to familiarize you with the area, controls, and features.

I think this Chasing Shadows quest is bugged at the moment. Keep getting a system error when trying to interact with the 'magicked blade'. Too many people trying for it at once maybe?

You unlock the ability to change it after you do the level 10 quest from your starting class' guild.

You can by equipping another weapon, but I believe you need to complete the Level 10 class quest to unlock that.

Basically, they restrict your characters at the start to properly tutorialize the game's various features. The original game was a mess for new players because they didn't tell you anything, and constantly switching classes before you had a grasp on the basics only muddled things further.

You'll need to create a new PS3 user and a US PSN account. Once you download the initial installer from the PSN store, you can log back into your Canadian account and link it to the game.

Wow Square-Enix is on top of things this time.

Apparently the NA PSN redemption codes for the client are coming up invalid on Canadian accounts.

This is the first time I've ever heard of US PSN codes being invalid for Canadians. LOL SE.

Good stuff.

I'm both excited and disappointed by all the returning XI monsters.

I love a lot of those designs, but at the same time I would've loved to see Yoshi-A's take on them. They all appear to be remodeled in higher resolution, so kind of a shame they based them on the same designs.

The legacy servers and characters are not available yet, understandably at launch some will prefer to start on servers that are completely fresh.

I've heard it randomly on a youtube playlist for the game, but I don't know the actual name.

It's a piano theme that eventually moves into a crescendo. Love it.
