Ehh, maybe it's just me, but that just sounds unpleasant. I'd rather they go all out. But I'll make due I suppose.
Really? Honestly, I feel that Smash Bros. is a series that really should keep things simple. Subspace Emissary was so overblown and felt awkward, especially when you needed to beat it to play as multiplayer characters. Melee's structure of having a small campaign for each character that took 25 minutes to beat each which unlocked goodies was much more suited towards a multiplayer centric title, and its one I think they should stick with.
It was cool because the levels you played in Adventure mode were sort of piss-takes of established gameplay in the game's respected franchises, like how there was a Metroid stage that replicated the end of Metroid 1, and the F-Zero stage had you racing on a track.
