Obviously, the reasons you stated would be why there would be less content in the new SSB compared to Brawl and not because the Wii U hardware is inferior to the Wii hardware. I suppose what I meant specifically was why "should" this new game have less content than its direct predecessor. If the game felt smaller in scope than even Brawl, it would be as though it were rushed and not only would that be really disappointing, but I don't think that's the development team's style.

Whether Armstrong is in or not (he won't be), I would like It Has To Be This Way as an option for Snake's level. Just give us that.

They're using a higher profile third party developer for this game though(Namco Bandai here vs GameArts for Brawl).
Mewtwo is popular in general, but, regarding his appearance in Smash, specifically, he was one of the least player Melee characters, among both hardcore and casual gamers, due to being so weak in all levels of play. He wasn't like Roy where for casual players he could seem fairly strong.

New Pork City was a Mother 3 spoiler, not a stage. I could model and code a better stage in my sleep, and I don't even know how to do either.
Also Salsa the monkey will be both this game's Mother rep and joke character and you will like it.

You were talking about his popularity. I'm saying that he wasn't really popular as a Melee character due to being so weak. That's likely why he ended up cut from Brawl in the end rather than someone like Falco.

I want all the Uprising characters. I would main Hades and Pyrrhon and Arlon and Medusa and Amazon Pandora.
People would say Pitoo would be as lazy as Good Cole and Evil Cole in PSABR despite having a completely different moveset. I'd probably be one of them.

I called Palutena and Magnus in the predictions thread. Present me is currently screaming at past me or thinking the series would jump to three reps. I'd favor Magnus over anyone else in Uprising if it could only be one.

I rather have the dog from Magnus' chapter than Magnus.
It was just the art style Capcom went for. Smash went out of it way to make Mega Man look like a 3D version of his 8 bit self. Capcom didn't have that same goal. Also, the Mega Man from Smash reminds me of upscale model of his Power Up model.

I messed with it the other day for the same reasons. Edit marks appears when you edit your post thats more than a minute or so old but only other people can see it. The guy definitely not edited his post.

Honestly, every Revengeance track should be in Smash. The Revengeance Vocal Tracks album might as well have been called "Songs To Kick Butt To."
The Stains of Time and Red Sun are also top-tier tracks.
Well, I'd be happy if the game had more content than the first, but I think it's important to keep realistic expectations. It's been a long time since Brawl, but this is still the fourth SSB game. Eventually they're going to reach a limit of content they can add with the resources (time, manpower, etc) they have. I don't know if that limit will be reached with this game, but I feel as if Brawl had a lot of content, so I'd be slightly disappointed, but not shocked, if this game had less content than Brawl.
I completely forgot about that. I hope that's a sign of good things to come with this game
