I like how these threads are basically us trying to guess what's going on in Sakurai's mind despite how many times he keeps on surprising people with his unpredictability.

Man, Mii could be an AWESOME character. I'm not even joking. Consider: You can play as any Mii on your system. THAT MEANS YOU CAN PLAY AS REGGIE, OBAMA OR JESUS.
Also, Miis can draw moves from the following games:
- Wii Sports
- Wii Play
- Wii Fit
- Wii Music
- Pilotwings Resort
- Nintendo Land
And more! There's a ton they could do. Just create one balanced Mii character, and allow people to swap in any Mii head on their system. BAM! Hilarity ensues.

I think they should add them. They're very important to Nintendo's history, and they're still a part of the Wii U platform. I agree that they should just create one Mii character with swappable heads for balance.
You can give them the sports moves. Sort of like how Peach could hit you with a golf club or tennis racket. There's a lot of options for the moveset, and I don't think it hurts to have one Mii character among 35-40 others. It's not like it's a choice between Bayonetta or Mii.
It's always nice to either be the guy crazy enough to catch a singular flash in his head with a guess or be completely schooled in how to surprise people as told by him.
One of my favorite moments in the original Brawl pre-hype thread was the discussion on the playable Metroid leading to a poster saying that if a Metroid can only latch on to people's heads, Mario should only fight by jumping on people. Cue Japan Time (of that week I believe) where Sakurai introduces Footstool Jumping with a key image of Mario jumping off Kirby's(?) head and recovering.
My sides are still orbiting Pluto.
Well, Hades isn't going to be used again unless Sakurai decides to make another Kid Icarus Game, he already said he doesn't plan to, and
Hades is basically dead, completely lacking a body
I mean, he's probably one of the single most powerful Nintendo Villans to date, and he could definitely fit Master and Crazy hand on. What's the result? An ungodly powerful, memorable character that can easily take everyone on and is very unlikely to ever be used again.
Also, it'd be great advertisement for uprising.
Besides, if you were going to have him in the game in the first place it's kinda hard to top Hades in terms of power. You'd have to come up with something completely insane with planet-busting levels of power to top him.

Controls did take me a while. Not going to lie. But it's so worth it for the game. And a dual analog situation really would be too slow/imprecise for what Sakurai wants you to do.

But really, there's a trick to holding it. Make sure you hook your right pinkie around the bottom right corner of your 3DS in order to keep the weight off of your left hand, as well as to stabilize the system.
That'll make it easy.

There is no makes a case. Sakurai worked on it and he's biased as hell towards his own shit. I wouldn't be surprised to see like two more Uprising characters.

I personally think it's just wrong. The main villain to a great big series wide crossover shouldn't be series specific; otherwise it really does come across as playing favorites. The villain should be series neutral; the others can appear in some capacity, but as the mastermind? No.
Tabuu and the Hands are the right idea. Hades and Kid Icarus had their time in the sun last year--let Smash Bros. be its own thing.
Sakurai's supposed bias towards his own series is greatly overstated. The only place in Smash you could actually make a case for that is storyline importance in the generally storyline-less Subspace Emissary, but that wasn't even written by Sakurai. Never forget it took until Brawl for there to be any Kirby newcomers to be added (even though it absolutely deserved one by Melee) and that Kirby has less new stages in Brawl than fucking Metroid.

Weirdly enough, I doubt it. I don't have anything against Krystal - I don't play StarFox. But there is a certain creepiness involved with her. Oh, and she's a female character, so *that* is always an exacerbating factor. And then she has fur, to put it over the top.

Yokoi's Final Smash would be pummeling his opponents with a Virtual Boy and going "HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR 3D NOW YOU HYPOCRITES".
Sounded feminine in the japanese version and shared a voice with a female ivysaur in the anime. It's more of an on-going joke at this point.

Heh, I remember Sakurai saying he wanted to add more female characters in Brawl so he added ZSS :3 lol ......... WFT was a surprise and I think Palutena is a shoe in so there could be one or two other choices including Lucina.
Damn, how did I forget her??? She's on my list.

Yamauchi's Final Smash is pissing off the RNG for items so that over time Iwata and Reggie can't get anything going for their team.
People still back Yamauchi because he had all the hype items first.
And when he does add reps to his franchise he adds two and makes them some of the best in the game. I don't understand "fucking metroid" are you surprised that Metroid, being the franchise that it is got more stages than Kirby but no other representative (I guess ZSS counts but it's still Samus) while the Kirby series got 2? I dunno, I think he definitely has a bias and he shows it.
Ugh, people still asking for Lucina over Marth seriously.

Brawl had the Golden Forest theme from 1080* and I'd love them to turn the actual Golden Forest into a level in Smash. Talk about an unlikely stage concept, though, lol.

How many representatives can Metroid get, honestly? The Hunters? SA-X? Dark Samus?
No one seems to want the other hunters and SA-X and Dark Samus are both clones. Not much to choose from. Oh, and Ridley.
But he's too damn big. Maybe we'll get Anthony this time around.
As much as I want Magnus to be a 3rd rep, he only appeared in...some stages.
Palutena is much more likely and she has somewhat of a move set.

Palutena will be the playable character. Remember guys: In Japan, Kid Icarus is called Palutena no Kagami.
She's the "Zelda" of her series.
Her game's not even out yet. And that one other game she appeared in was in other consoles. People only really wanted her in because she's omg edgy and Nintendo-exclusive now

Both Meta Knight and Dedede were among the top requested characters for Brawl; the series itself is actually much bigger than most people give it credit for (it's a bigger franchise than most in Smash). It absolutely deserved three by Brawl, when it got the two newcomers is irrelevant (and, not surprisingly, shows how clearly this ridiculous argument hinges on only Brawl and ignores all he did in the previous two titles). Can you really say Meta Knight and Dedede didn't deserve to be in Brawl?
Tier position of the characters is irrelevant because there's no way to say it was intentional--Sakurai is a terrible character balancer. Kirby is a terrible character in Melee. This is the only character that Sakurai has any connections to and he's one of the worst characters in the game.
If you don't care for the comparison to Metroid, then consider that it has the same amount of stages in Brawl as Earthbound/Mother does. There is no way to spin the amount of Kirby stages in Brawl into a Kirby conspiracy. The series got shafted in the stage count. How does that fit in to the narrative of Sakurai bias?
This awful argument hinges on a very specific interpretation of only what has happened in Brawl and ignores the previous two titles because of no reason. It's seeing what you want to see.

Also, after Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and its expansion both not having Megaman, nothing is guaranteed to me anymore. NOTHING.
No, people really started to get the idea for having her in a fighting game when Marvel came out and people saw how Dante turned out (fantastic). Bayonetta in a fighting game has been a dream for a while now. Smash Bros is just the most likely candidate for that to happen (however slim that is).
Ridley is the only other character needed. Like F-Zero Metroid is a series of a few worthwhile characters aside Samus. Maybe if Adam wasn't awful he could have had potential but no, it's only Ridley and no. He's not too big. Just make him like a skinnier and purpler Charizard or something man.
IIRC Kirby was a pretty good character in the original Smash wasn't he? But either way, Kirby doesn't need any other reps like that one Waddle dee some people have suggested or Yarn Kirby. Metroid just needs Ridley and F-Zero, as much as I love it, doesn't have all that much to go on. I guess they could give a brawl ganon-like moveset to Black Shadow or somehow use Samurai Goroh but I don't know, I never though F-Zero really needed a new rep. Just give the Cap his knee back. (Hohohohoho pun). As for Pit, I haven't played Uprising, ok well I briefly did at a friends house but it wasn't an actual serious play session or anything, I think having I guess Palutena in the game would be good. It's another female character, but the same could be achieved with Medusa and she'd bring the added fact of being a villain right? So more of that too. Just think that KI isn't a big enough franchise that it needs so much representation I dunno.
heh, and now I just remembered that we didn't get anything Wave Race or Pilotwings related either. Stop ignoring your awesome IPs Nintendo and get to it
Thinking about it, the only thing I really want from Magnus is his theme song.
