Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

I would love to, but Lucas already stole her moveset. lol

She's my most wanted from Mother, but I feel like we'd get Porky if the series were to add a rep.

You guys, you guys are awesome. But honestly, doesn't everyone steal someones moveset or have moveset that doesn't go with them? It'd be fine, as long as she gets in. XP

for Prediction Contest, should I merged animal crosser and villager into one since they are same person?

Sure, why not.

Fill it up with as much as they could while doing it right, finish the others through DLC. It's not hard to do this man. They have little excuse for clones or semi clones this time around aside from lack of creativity, laziness, or unwillingness to change. They can patch the game through online means now. Make characters better make them unique.

I am fully aware of where my posts come from, and as I explained it came from a differing definition of a clone. I admit that I usually to start off discussions very impulsively and with a poorly chosen way of speaking, the problem comes from me presenting my argument horribly and overreacting to the points made against me. This increases other people's frustration with my stubbornness which in turn makes them mad and then causes me to get even more hotheaded and cruder.

But in regards to yourself, is your usual habit of being condescending. Something you've done in just about every post of mine you feel the need to respond to, which is equally about as mature as throwing a tantrum. Positioning yourself on some high pedestal for your almighty knowledge of fighting game mechanics, and then personally attacking my character with intentional malice, something I never did to you like you've done to me multiple times. You aren't some bastion of maturity Beef, no matter how reasonable you try to pass yourself off, you and other posters have many moments of sheer arrogance. One of which being the case below.

Why would I bother with this. I've only ever put one person on my ignore list and it didn't even work correctly because the function only served to highlight their posts even more, not make them less noticeable or just completely eliminate them from my personal viewing. Besides, if you hate my posts so much there's nobody forcing you to read them either, feel free to put me on your ignore list.

That'd be a shame.

People condescend to you because your wants are selfish. You have stated, specifically, no bullshit added by me, that you would prefer Melee had only 18 characters as long as clones were removed. You have also spoken for casual Smash players as if a significant % of that group would be happy if the roster didn't have clones.

Throughout, you've ignored the wants of the core Smash community for reasons I can only assume include the fact that you don't identify with that community and thus do not care. It makes you seem arrogant, coupled with the want for something to be removed to suit your own personal preference, even knowing that numerous people would be disappointed.

Just wanted to say I appreciate the fact that the two first-party newcomers announced so far are from series that haven't received reps yet (Animal Crossing and Wii Fit).

Same here. I would appreciate it even more that they would announce more of first party newcomers from new series like Golden Sun, Duck Hunt, Mysterious Murasama Castle, Star Tropic, and many more.

What is Wonderful 101 main character's name? I'm sure that they announced the name by now?

Just let it go man, I'm not continuing this. Agree to disagree and all of that.

Mr. Edgewood.

I went to Smashboards at around the time of Melee's release. How things have changed...

I'm honestly tired of the whole competitive vs casual debate that has been raging on since forever, but I guess it makes sense in Smash, which still allows less-skilled players to have fun without learning too much about it, unlike most other fighting games.

I played some coin matches with all items set to very high with three friends a while ago, and we all had a blast. They even won many times despite not having played the game before, since I never played coin mode before, either. I also have fun playing 1v1 games online with no items, or removing most of the more broken ones and setting the spawn rate to low.

Talking about online, I seriously hope it's better this time around. I'm able to play random matches with just some input lag, but whenever I try to play friend matches I often get ridiculous amounts of lag that make the game nearly unbearable.

Well...I didn't do this before, but I figure I'll do this now and make my final roster predictions.

Good online multiplayer latency would be great, but I also hope there's a competent ranking system to go along with it. I don't remember how it was handled in Brawl, but I'd like a clear display of one's overall skill as well as a separate one for a player's skill with a specific character in ranked matches. A neat customizable title/avatar system and other such aesthetic things would be cool, too.

Hmm? Falco isn't going anywhere and going by the reveal vid with Samus using her final smash, ZSS is still highly likely.

Edit: Quick fix :p

To be perfectly fair, people are only capable of speaking for their own personal desires. Ezalc can only speak for what he wants, I can only speak for what I want, and you can only speak for what you want. There are hundreds of different reasons for wanting changes in a game, and most of them are perfectly valid. People value different things, and are only in a position to argue for what they themselves value.

I for one do not identify with the Smash core community. I can't speak for them, nor can I claim to know what they value. To be honest, what they argue for often baffles me. I can respect their interests, but I can't temper all of my opinions out of consideration for their values.

People are entitled to argue for their own views and desires. No one is under an obligation to bow their heads and quiet their personal opinions because they are not part of a specific community.

There is nothing wrong with someone valuing a smaller roster. I for one attach no particular value to a large roster just for the sake of having a large roster. More characters is not necessarily better, since there are many other factors to consider when deciding if a roster is good or not. I actually agree with Ezalc that Melee would have been a better game if Pichu, Roy, Dr. Mario, Falco, and Ganondorf were not in it as clones. There is something lost by taking them out, but there were drawbacks to including them as clones, as well. I don't want to drag us back into the clone discussion, but people are entitled to have their own definition on what constitutes a clone. Clearly there will not be consensus, and you and others won't suddenly come around to my point of view. But I am allowed to be unsatisfied by the implementation of certain characters.

I, nor anyone else, am under an obligation to like something because "the core community" likes it. There is nothing wrong with being selfish when it comes to voicing opinions on an internet forum, or being happy or unhappy about an outcome. It is perfectly rational for people to argue for their own self interests.

EDIT: And apparently others are calling for things to be let go. I am fine with that.

I didn't care about them until I invited these friends over and I realized we all had equal chances of winning despite me playing the game for years, one of them having played it once or twice at another friend's house, and the remaining three not having played a Wii ever. At least it isn't as ridiculously complex as Bonus Mode from Melee.

Brawl's random matches didn't even display the player names of the people you were playing against, and friend matches only let you see your friends' nametag and custom taunt text (which was ridiculously limited, possibly because they must've kept the max text length from the Japanese version). I'd be fine with ranked matches as long as they implement a way to avoid DCers all over the place... that's the only reason why I'd rather have unrated matches only.

If both kinds of matches are available, it'd be the worst of both worlds: barely anyone skilled playing on unranked matches, and quitters galore on the ranked segment (at least until you get to higher ranks, I guess).

I think ZSS was an interesting addition, I just wish regular Samus would be better so she doesn't get neglected by her fans in favor of ZSS.

As a Samus main, Brawl made me very, very sad.

Why the hell did her bombs not explode on impact? WHY?!?! Pieces of garbage, they became!

I think coin matches are kind of fun as a random change of pace.

Another good "random change of pace" game type I occasional miss are score matches. I am not certain if they can actually be intentionally won, considering the sheer number of random things you got points for in Melee, but the more game-types the better in my book.

EDIT: My main complaint about ZSS is that Samus's final smash really should be the Power Bomb or the Speed Booster. The Zero Laser to ZSS transformation just doesn't seem appropriate. I would prefer some other mechanism for the transformation, but I am not sure what that would be.

My Picks for the new Smash Bros final Roster and my reasoning

Hmm? Falco isn't going anywhere and going by the reveal vid with Samus using her final smash, ZZS is still highly likely.

Samus' Zero Zuit was really iconic.

That would be really mean. Lucas especially.

Just my general thoughts on it. Zero Suit while an entirely new moveset doesn't really make sense. It never did honestly...it appeared in one section of one game for a small period and it wasn't even a section people enjoyed. It was a sex appeal thing and if thats needed my picks has Tharja to handle that.

I dont see 4 Star Fox Characters and I see it going like Fire Emblem and rotating out one this time. Out of Fox, Falco, and Wolf I see Falco as the one that is the least unique in his tools. Wolf is fairly different from Fox, but Falco doesn't change a lot.

I dont see a lot of Earthbound anything lately so I figure since Lucas largely has the same problems as a character that I see in Falco he'd be cut to if I stood by my own reasons for cutting Falco.

Again, this is just my predictions. Do I feel I'm right and you're all wrong? No not really...I think the whole thing is a crapshoot and no one will be able to guess, but thats the logic behind my predictions and who I'm gonna go with as my predicted roster.

I honestly see Wii Fit trainer as the balance board rep so I see her as the new left field character this time around like R.O.B.

Psst, I made a joke on that typo the poster I quoted did. He posted ZZS not ZSS. ;)

I've never played Giant Melee/Mode, hmmmm why didnt my friends and i play that mode

i hope online has a "grab bag and variety online" mode that has a bunch of game types playable

i'd be down for 3 stock matches with randoms, but people would try to camp online

Hahaha...no.

If anything, he should have his Hawaiian shine shirt and sunglasses as a costume.

300% mode is a blast. Wish you could set it to where it replicates the Bob-ombs dropping like in Sudden Death.

There's a video of Captain Falcon vs. Dedede on Final Destination during a sudden death and they're both hanging from/dropping from the ledges to avoid the bombs when Falcon climbs up, runs through the bombs to the other side and falcon punches dedede for the k.o.

They just have to improve Stamina mode. Falls no longer kill, they just take a certain amount of HP; stocks, of course.
I would freakin' enjoy Stamina Mode so much more if you could allow much higher health and out-of-stage kills just take so much health away. I enjoyed the mode, but it kind of sucked that it was such a small range that you could customize, not to mention it was just 1 stock, which meant most of the matches were rather short.

Well yes, I stopped going to both of those places back in 2010. I only went back a couple of times to hopelessly give life advice to Mew2King (which he ignored each time because he surrounds himself with enablers) and because Smashboards were trying to hold breast cancer donation money for ransom during the EVO thing.

Yeah? Well I stopped going back in '08. Freaking 08ers ruining the place maaaaaaaaan
