I can get behind Bowser Jr. Back when Brawl was being planned, his only appearance was in Sunshine, but he's since had major roles in the New Super Mario Bros. games (and slightly less major roles in the Galaxy games). He has to be on Sakurai's radar, at least.
I'm just saying, put in Dark Samus with the phazon shotgun and the divebomb morph ball and DoT corruption attack(s) and such. So much better than Ridley.
Yeah I don't understand the complaints of that it'd be impossible for Marth to be replaced, because it'd still represent the original Marth and you'd get the "Marth" fans too.
Awakening spoilers:
Also it'd be another female representative.
No it wouldn't.
That being said, I don't see it likely and it'll probably be an alt costume at best.
No, that would be like if we had had Ninten as the MOTHER representative for two entries only to get him replaced by Ness in Brawl.I mean, it just seems the same thing as updating link or mario to their newest iteration

Pichu could work pretty sweet as Pichu Bros. in a similar manner to the Ice Climbers. That would also be a chance for references to obscure Pokémon spinoffs and Pokémon Mini.Pichu can come back if its a legit character and not a glorified handicap.
Marth is the face of Fire Emblem. He starred in the first Fire Emblem game, the most important Fire Emblem game (FE3), remakes of both of those games, and has already appeared in two Smash Bros. installments. To suggest replacing him with a one-off female cosplayer as sufficient absolutely boggles my mind.
That small chat of EarthBound made me think of Kumatora again, who I want in SSB4.

Powerglove for player character. He's like a prototype attempt at recreating Master Hand using technology by R.O.B.
It is capable of driving cars regardless of how it moves and landing planes in Top Gun.
[citation needed]?That was the plan at first, the only reason lucas didnt replace ness was because of time issues.
Sakurai has no issues replacing a dude.
Power Glove item.
Imho it's about the same as updating to the latest link

Beat Master Hand & Crazy Hand fast enough, fight Power Glove....Hand.Or Master Hand super boss fight with it on him...
with tom nook controlling it all.

About as reliable a source as We Will Rock You. Never mind that it doesn't say anything about Ness being removed in the first place.

Re: Mario Extras
You all probably could tell, but the ones I back strongest are Daisy and Rosalina. More women-folk, one's a cosmic witch/magician and Daisy oozes personality in Mario spinoff titles. Waluigi should be put with Wario if anything, not as a psuedo Mario series slot.
Re: Mother
I'd totally be down for some Kumatora. The video game world needs more tomboys.
Re: Marth
Y'all ninjas crazy if you think Marth could/should/would be replaced by Lucina. I still think the best idea thus far is pairing Chrom and Lucina up Ice Climbers style and making a fancy ass swordplay duo then using another spot on a mage (Tharja pls) or Anna.

I would bet on it being Johnny Yong BoschI'm very curious as to what English Marth would sound like, but I'm also conditioned to expect Japanese Marth voice track to happen again.

Pace looks exactly like early Brawl footage. I don't know what people are seeing here.
So even though Mother 3 never came out outside of Japan, and Earthbound is slated for a big VC release, you believe that Ness (who has been in every game so far by the way) will be removed, and that this is common knowledge? No thanks. Not gonna believe that one...
I think Brawl was working on Melee's engine when we first saw it, whereas now we know that this game's engine is complete.
I want a great Mother stage for once. It was way too easy to get killed in Onett, and New Pork City was HUUUGE. Fourside was great though, they should bring that back and mix some moonside into it.
With how many reps the Pokemon series gets, I think they should have a few more actual locations from the games instead of made up areas like the stadium or floats. Spear Pillar was a welcome inclusion.
Also, Krystal is a symbol of the StarFox series declining, so let's not have her in.
I would bet on it being Johnny Yong Bosch
If we are getting a female Fire Emblem Mage, it is much more likely to be Micaiah than Tharja.
By that I mean they both look way slower than Melee

Right, but those citations have nothing to do with the situation now. You can hope for such a thing if it pleases you, but it wouldn't make any sense at this point to remove an original from a series that by the time of the new release will be 15 years old, and his game being re-released abroad at around the same time... *shrug*
With the amount of weird ass anthropomorphic animal porn on the internet though she'd lead to roughly double the sales of Smash4.Speaking of Route 34...
The auto-snapping to ledges is gone (developer video and Sakurai vs dude at the E3 demo), tripping's out (Sakurai confirmation) and character movement is faster/has more aerial momentum (developer video - 3DS portion). Multi air dodges are also still in, but it remains to be seen if movement from them is like Melee (can press a direction to influence the direction the dodge proceeds in; can only be triggered in a neutral state) or Brawl (cancels all hitstun and has you float to the ground in invul frames; can be triggered anytime you're in the air). Anything else is just conjecture.
Furthermore, early Brawl footage was in no way indicative of how Brawl would turn out so same should be said of what we see here.
