Swag

Done fishing for the night....only five coelancths to show for it. Re-Tail better start paying double for all types of sharks the next couple of days.

At least I payed off the 198k expansion loan. Time for a bigger house

Whew, just searched for a Japanese Animal Crossing forum and posted in order to try to get the Japanese exclusive items. That was hard. There probably is an easier way to get them, but oh well.

Now to wait for a response!

Great day so far. QR machine unlocked, got my first mannequin, unlocked the Dream Suite PW, donated my first legit piece of artwork, Kicks's shop is being built, Nookling Junction is renovating tomorrow, got my first HHA reward, paid off yet another home loan, etc.

Incredible work all round, but that house is nightmare fuel incarnate.

It's the steam roller isn't it? Definitely the steam roller.

Awesome stuff!

Thanks :3

goddamn, this is great. you drew the moon yourself? :O

thank god the pattern generator sites exist so i can pretend to be as talented.

I don't think I can do it again soon (at least not tonight). I got a headache from working on it for so long, lol.

So what exactly do I do with gyroids? I keep digging 'em up and storing them in my house. Do they have any use at all?

Don't put them in your house! They'll slowly drive you insane and goad you into slaughtering your village.

I keep the box of tissues by my bed. Thankfully guests haven't noticed it, or have been too polite to mention it.

Mine are all on the second floor as part of my torture room.

Anyone have a Midna mask they'd like to trade? I have a spare S.S. Dolphin, or a Hero's Boots.

Stuck waiting for Redd to come back to get some (hopefully) genuine artwork so everything can upgrade. I'd forgotten it wasn't a lottery, there's actually differences in the pictures.

I've had this game for 2 days but I can't seem to muster up the courage/attention to play it.

What do?

It's one of the most inviting games around. Even when the vast amount of content can feel daunting, it's presented to you in such a way that it really doesn't.

You should just dive in.

I think that's what's happening. I just feel intimated by how much there is to do. Almost like I want to freeze time and experience it without interruptions.

The beauty is though that even though there's so much content, you don't need to feel rushed to complete it. In fact if you try to then you'll burn out. I enjoy just putting in an hour or so here and there throughout the day and it almost feels like routine. It's great.

What's to be intimidated by? You can barely do anything for the first few days. And it's not like you can screw anything up.

You can take the game at your own pace.
You're not gonna get penalized for not doing anything.
The game isn't exactly a competitive one either, so "falling behind" isn't exactly an issue.

I've logged more time with MK7 even though Animal Crossing was the first game I bought. Dunno why I can't seem to get into the mindset to play. Perhaps it's just my imagination.

Question regarding Downloadable version of Animal crossing and Club nintendo:

My brother and I both downloaded AC:NL and both of our e-shops are linked to one club nintendo account, do we not get double the coins for our purchases?

Couple trips farming beetles today and I now have almost 500k in the bank.

Feel bad about basically gutting the interior of my island but it had to be done.

Just play it and don't worry about what other people are doing. Who cares if you only build your second bridge half a year later? :P

I'm not really worried about catching up to you guys. Even if I got it Day 1 I'd fall behind eventually.

I probably just need to exhaust my other games first. I think it's the pressure of having a backlog.

IT's not really something you play instead of other games. It's like an ongoing project you play during your daily constitutional or something.

Though it's possible to sink a bunch of time into it if you want to.

Pretty sure it does, they just don't sparkle. It's been raining in my town for four days and I haven't watered my flowers and they're fine. (How long does it take them to dry out?)

Some can dry out in a day, usually only 1 or 2 become affected by it every day.
