Eh, Super Saiyan God, when a Saiyan combines the powers of at least 5 other Saiyans to become Super Saiyan God.

Takes place during the lost years of DragonBall Z, after the fight with Buu, but before that final quickie tourney in DBZ (before Pan is born).

Here's the confirmed list of characters so far:
Goku, Vegeta, Raditz, Nappa, Krillin, Tien, Piccolo, Kid Gohan, Ginyu, Jeice, Burter, Recoome, Guldo and Saibaman.
But, there's also a pic of Super Saiyan God Goku. Considering they have the entire Ginyu force, and SSG Goku suggest this title won't be limited to just the Frieza/ Saiyan sagas, I think we can assume a pretty complete roster.

I hope they won't do that BS where it stops at the Cell saga so we don't get all the characters from the Buu arc. The trailer didn't show any like Buu or SSJ3.

Zenkai Battle Royale has Buu-Saga characters, and these games seem to be from the same source. Zenaki has Majin Buu.

But you might be right. I can see them avoiding movie characters and the Buu saga for the first instalment.

I'll admit that I ignored their Gundam and Macross games that they've released in the last few years on PSP/PS3/Vita (too busy with Gundam Extreme Vs.).

But maybe some GAFfer with more experience can speak on the quality of their games?

All I know is that at least the animation looks nominally better than a Spike game. The characters look like they ACTUALLY RUN ALONG THE GROUND! SUCH INNOVATION! 8D

I was really bummed that they didn't put out a follow-up to Burst Limit. It seemed like it was a no-brainer too given that its story mode ended at Frieza (sp?).

It was supposed to be Dragonball 2, but apparently it looked like Dragonball Z from Toriyama's handwriting, so it was announced as Dragonball Z by mistake.
