Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

Since it was made for everyone, I have the right to dislike a character that I dont like that has been added to one of my all time favorite games. Are you somehow Wii Fit Trainer's Lawyer?

I don't have a problem with you disliking the character. That wasn't my point to begin with.

When people start respecting other people's opinions I will think about it.....

Disliking a character is fine...

"Eurgh this character why is she even in the game" is a different thing entirely.

EDIT: But seriously, check her announcement video and her moveset in the developer direct. She looks great fun to play.

How about Pennington.

B His theme song plays and you become stunned in fear he might catch your wrong doings.
B -> He uses his magnifying glass to shoot a laser directed from the sunlight.

Yeah, thats why I got attacked by a bunch of Wii Fit Trainer lawyers......

You come in asking a question.

People reply to your question.

You reply by outright dismissing people's answers & telling them not to bother.

There's a difference between being attacked for an opinion & people not liking the way you present it.

Enters ongoing discussion.

Doesn't want a discussion.

In summary.

If you want your difference of opinion to be respected it's traditionally a good idea to respect other people's difference of opinion rather than imply that everyone's a "Wii Fit Trainer Lawyer" or some passive-aggressive BS

I'm surprised the Smash Bros games never made a reference to Paper Mario at this point.

EDIT: In all fairness, I was kind of rude too. I'll apologize for calling outright calling you selfish, Mad Bowser. I still just don't see the point in complaining about it when the roster isn't fully revealed yet though.

This just jumped into my memory again:

Doesn't Nintendo own the Fatal Frame/Project Zero IP now?
I really hope we will see something Fatal Frame related in SSB4.
Not necessarily a stage or playable character, but an assist trophy or at least collectible trophies would be pretty neat.

A stage with a constantly ongoing camera would be rad

I'm surprised the Smash Bros games never made a reference to Paper Mario at this point.

Doing that list a few pages ago made me realise: mario gets hella representation

I could imagine a Paper Mario level making it onto 3DS actually, it seems fit for it.

(/edit: I have to say, do any of the Mario RPG spinoffs get any representation at all? I don't think Superstar Saga gets much either.)

All new characters are a waste until the first boss of Space Fever II makes an appearance:

I think there were a few Stickers, but not much outside of that. With MLRPG4 and Paper Mario: Sticker Star, I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a stage on the 3DS version at least.

Surprised there isn't a generic sports thing

Seriously: a tennis stage that transforms into a strikers stage that transforms into a Mario Basketball stage (which I heard was fucking rad as shit) that transforms into an olympic games stage

sooooo goooooooood

I wonder if we'll finally get a pokemon stage inspired by a pkmn Gym?

The gyms have been so ridiculous and gimmicky in recent pokemon games. It always felt like the perfect inspiration for a Smash pokemon stage for me.

I tend not to count stickers as real references, considering they're just reused assets from all over the place.

I've never felt like Paper Mario stuff would fit in with SSB, it would just feel forced. It's too specific of an off-shot series. Just because it's Mario doesn't mean it has to be represented, I mean it's sort of like tossing in some Mario sports game or Mario Party references or related characters just because those exist.

Although I could easily any of those Dream Team special moves being used for a new Luigi Final Smash.

Dude Negative Zone is fucking rad.

I actually always felt Mario's final smash was kinda weird. Has he ever had an ultra hadoken move before?

EDIT: In all fairness, I was kind of rude too. I'll apologize for calling outright calling you selfish, Mad Bowser. I still just don't see the point in complaining about it when the roster isn't fully revealed yet though.

Its okay, intense discussions always happen. I apologize to everyone who I sounded rude to, it was never intentionally.

I have to imagine that's implied. Wonder Red just stands at the forefront of the team.
I know it isn't realistic, but I wish we can get him to transform to the four characters of the team. If possible it will take only one special slot and you can select which character (Down B to enter transformation mode, one of the four directions to transform).
If done this way you can have the normal attacks to use the characters themselves and the special attacks for the team attacks.

I didn't count that because you eventually interact with the island. Sure you float in a platform, but the platform lands on various parts too.
Still boring, would've preferred it if done in a better way (make the level transform in a more meaningful way).

You see, I myself consider Golden Sun characters irrelevant and a waste of space. I think a Chozo is more obscure than Wii Fit Trainer, and Lon'qu has no chance, much as I love Lon'qu.

Opinions.

At the end of the day its your opinion buddy and all I have to do is respect and discuss it also without attacking you. I think a Golden Sun character would be great. Lon'qu is a great character and I would like to see him.

Is that from the Game Boy Camera game?
Yes.

It was my first introduction to Earthbound music and Pokémon.

And still home to the best menu system of any game ever. So much character.

They gave Luigi's Mansion and Mario Kart representation so it isn't that crazy to think that another Mario spinoff could be represented.

Mega Man makes me sad since third parties obviously only get one rep and thus Simon Belmont will never get in now.

Then it's time for the truly unexpected king to arrive.

Every time I think of that game, this song comes to mind... It would be nice if they include a bunch of Pokemon spinoff music such as this.

Wait... wait wait. You're telling me there's Earthbound music in that game?!

Haha true that. But we do AGREE that Mega Man is one hell of an addition!

Hell yeah! Best reveal ever.

You know what?

I'm more hyped with Villager and Wii Fit Trainer than Megaman. The latter feels like a very "common denominator" choice.

I like how Megaman feels like the polar opposite of Sonic btw.

Sonic = 3-4x the same spindash move scattered through his moveset.

Megaman = every single move is like an awesome unique special move.

Mega Man is sorta similar to Sonic in that regard. Mega Man only has 2 regular attacks; he can shoryuken and shoot. All of his other attacks are specials.

Mario Hoops was probably Top 25 DS games and an incredible showcase for how to implement touch controls in a more traditional game.
