Times you have read into sexual/romantic advances incorrectly

We've all been there. Reading the signs and thinking that everything is smooth sailings. You go to make the move and wham. Get denied. Now you are wondering what the hell just happened. Feeling awkward and embarrassed and you just want to get out of the situation you put yourself in.

In high school, I remember watching Lord of the Rings in the theater with this girl I really liked. She leaned into me and I put my arms around her. A few minutes later I go in for a kiss and she pulled back and asked me "What are you doing?" I really couldn't respond at all, pulled back and just slouched in my chair, wanting the movie to finish so I can just go home. The movie ended and I said my goodbyes and walked off as fast as I could. I remember us having a conversation later that night but even then, I was still in shock. The good news was that she went to a different school so I didn't have to see her everyday. Still, that moment sucked lol.

I'm too charming and handsome to have this happen to me. Anytime I make a move the girl is more then happy to make out and get felt up by me. With that said, I look forward to reading all your stories.
 
I worked with an insanely gorgeous girl that I immediately had a huge crush on. We flirted mildly but I knew she had a boyfriend so I didn't pursue anything. Some days we would stand in the parking lot and talk for 2-3 hours after work was over and everyone else had gone home. Then she started texting me more and more, like every day, almost to the point of annoying. Then she invited me to a concert just us two. Her boyfriend nixed that plan. Then she invited me out to the river to go swimming just the two of us. I had other plans so I didn't end up going. She invited me out to bars to "watch people try and hook up". She left me a note at work that basically went "Hey can you help me out later? Love you. Thanks". Seriously, who writes "Love you" on a fucking work note? Also, this whole time she knew I had a girlfriend. I thought some of this stuff meant, y'know, maybe she was interested in me as more than a friend. Crazy I know. So I broke up with my girlfriend and told my crush one night when we were at a bar with another friend. Didn't really hear from her for a couple months. Then I'm hanging out with a friend of hers and she tells me that my crush broke up with her boyfriend a couple months ago and started banging a new dude.

I'm chalking the whole thing up to me being a socially inept moron who was reading way too much into things. In my defense I hadn't dealt with that level of attention from someone with a boyfriend. I know I'm an idiot but it feels good to get this stuff out of my brain.
 
I turned down sex with the girl of my dreams - the most beautiful women I've ever laid eyes on - while in bed with her because I had no idea what she meant when she said, "Are you sure you want to do this?". I just wasn't thinking clearly.

One of my life's regrets. She was absolutely the one that got away. She's a model now...I can't bare to look at her professional photos even though they're readily available on the internet. ;_;

I was on a dating site and hooked up with a girl. We met, went to dinner a few times, went for drinks and on the 3rd date we had sex. Then we had sex again and again and again. It was awesome. After a month or so of this I assumed that we were an item, but ended up I was just another friend to her. The way I found out wasn't exactly cool. I invited her to go out of town for the weekend and she told me that she had a date that she couldn't get out of. I was shocked and upset. She said I was the only guy she was having sex with, but we weren't an item. Didn't stop me from sleeping with her one more time, but I moved on after that.

I too was in the bed of the girl from my story, but she didn't reciprocate, like, anything I did. Laid there like a dead fish. I had to stop as I was starting to feel rape-y. First and thankfully only time a girl got me in her bed and didn't want to fool around.
 
That girl is hot JasonMCG. Don't really have a story about that, but I did almost come close to having an affair with a married woman. We talked/texted a lot, hung out a few times but nothing happened. Looking back on it I am glad nothing did. She was beautiful though.

Alright just in case anyone might be confused. If you are invited over to a person you are interested ins home after 11 o'clock; they want to fool around making out or whatever, but if you are in their bed, the bed is literally the 'Bone Zone' that is the area of home zoned to bone in!

I never read into those, my boyfriend actually gets upset at me when he does subtle advancements and they always go over my head. Even when we first started dating i was completely oblivious. For example i was at his apartment a month into dating him and he says "You tired? I feel like taking a nap, let's go in my room" and i reply " No thanks i just had a cup of coffee, if you're tired i will let you go take a nap and i will leave"

Looking back on a lot of these things i feel extremely fucking stupid and they still go over my head and i always tell him if he wants to fuck to just say lets fuck. Stop beating around the bush.

Honestly that's not a move that's just a person being dumb. A move or advancement involves turning some one on. Asking to take a nap is not sexy.

I was like "Haha good one..." and continue. She stops again and says no really she didn't come to my place and to my fucking bed for sex. I'm confused as fuck but then just say "Okay then, let's just sleep". Of course I couldn't sleep for like 40 minutes because my boner didn't come down and I even poked her every now and then so she couldn't sleep either.

Next morning when we wake up my first thought is that maybe she really was sleepy so I make my move again. Rejected for the third time. I gave up at that point and just made us breakfast and then she left.

In film classes they talk about this concept that in a movie or even other visual mediums you shouldn't tell the audience something you should show them important things relating to story development. I apply this theory to my romantic life, I think others should do the same.

What's worse is that before we got into bed, we watched Power Rangers for two hours, drank wine, laughed, and had an awesome time. She was different and she was perfect and...I passed it up.

Well the last time was 2 months ago, she was a utter bitch with me. First flirt me, then went cold, flirt me again after sometime. And seeing the signs i went all Kamikaze ask her out, she said yes, but didn't tell me when. Some days later she told me yes again when i ask again, but still didn't give me no day. Tired of this and feeling her grow more cold with everyone and me i went asker what happen, she was a complete bitch saying she is cold with anyone she wants and didn't want to go out with me anymore. Needless to say we never speak again.
