Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

Ran into an issue tonight playing Hotline Miami, I don't know if its happened to anyone else where the right stick will not respond until I switch weapons or die. Its quite a pain, but its the only game I have played that has had that issue.

Just to confirm, there is no way to download these on a Japan account and play them with my NA account, right?

I'd also like to know if there is an easy way to play games from other regions. I seem to remember you had to have two memory cards or something.

I love that disc based games are region free, so I can play stuff in English if I want to, but the PSN stuff is still rather locked down. It's the final frontier.

One account per memory card. You can swap cards to switch to your other account, but you have to watch the Vita intro movie. It's enough of a pain that many Vitabros don't bother with it.

I may be getting a Vita tomorrow!!!

Guy on craigslist is selling cheap.

Any tips on how to not get murdered over a craigslist trade?

Got it!
Collection grows.

Is the japanese Djmax Technika Tune version fully playable in English? I am thinking about importing it because they won't release it in Europe but I can only find the japanese version at stores, not the US one.
Don't want to import it myself because I don't want to deal with the customs office.

I wish DJ Max allowed for the shoulder buttons or dpad to activate fever. Only gripe so far. Otherwise game is my kind of rhythm game and dig a lot of the music.

Speaking of, is that game ever going to go on sale? It looks great but $45 is steep. If it hit $30 or below i'd grab it.

I remember it taking quite a long time for DJ max 3 on psp to ever have a sale/price drop, so there is precedence of it happening but it may take a while for it to occur

Hmm Gust is doing completly new RPG for Vita I wonder if we have any chances of localization since translation wasn't done before.

Also seems like PS3/PSV Rozen Maiden was annouced but i guess this one has 0% chance.

While I agree that Zexal is bad (and a complete clone of the original series in many aspects ('spirit' partner inhabiting a special necklace, important in the past, talented at dueling, to scratch the surface), Tag Force 4-6 were crap compared to 1-3. They scrapped the constant storyline in favor of solely mini storylines as you fill hearts. And they removed the explorable 3D maps for sidescrolling ones. Huge downgrade that really killed the fun of it.
I guess i bought the superior game(3), lucky me!

Chrono "materia" and that inventory screen make me believe that alchemy is still involved.

Thought I had stopped loving my Vita, but after playing persona 4 after 1 month the love is definitely back.

I'm loving how I switch between Vita and 3DS every month, perfect combination.

Edit: Recommending Sly Cooper 4, prolly the best 3D platformer on the Vita. I'm actually surprised that is good.

it normally slowly updates with different content from the morning.. so just keep on checking..

unless they changed their procedure to make sure people don´t get free games (Jak & Daxter says hello)

I think it updates at 17.00 CET so within 6 hours.
Alrighty. I'm definitely gonna get Hotline Miami!

You don't say. I just started up Persona 4: Golden after a long break for months, and I'm instantly in love again. But rather sooner than later I have to get back to Luigi's Mansion 2 on 3DS.

It's a shame how Epic Mickey is a bit of a wasted potential. The framerate gets rough in certain spot and sometimes the music doesn't play. It could have used more polish. Even so, I'm having tons of fun on it and loving all the exploration. It's too bad the game could have been more pleasant to play and could have given more reasons for more gamers to give it a chance.

How is it compared to the PS3/Console version?

Oh and I now don't have any space on my 32 GB to have Hotline Miami installed...along with like dozens of other Vita compaitble goodies >=/

Both my NA and Japanese 32GB memory cards are loaded to the brim and require heavy management. i wish Sony would release a 64 or 128GB card.

I did not play the ones on consoles besides a demo. Based on this demo in the same spot, the Vita version is compared pretty nicely to the PS3 version. I'm not sure if the Vita version becomes worse later in the game or all versions are equally worse in the same spots. Sorry for not being helpful enough :(

Have been playing Hotline Miami for some time and it's awesome! It controls very well, even though targeting can be sensitive with the right stick to start out with. Moving the view by sliding the touch-screen while locking on enemies isn't the easiest of things either but it works pretty well, so it's a great game so far. :)

Persona 4: Golden is also picking up little by little, I'm only 3 hours in and have had two battles so far. Does it get better further into the game?

Another thing, I take it, that Jak & Daxter don't have as bad a framerate as first thought when you get further into it?

And any Europeans using Wake-Up Club?

Shouldn't have to pay import fees on it, VG+ are very good about it and I've never once paid customs when importing from them. To answer your question, the game is very much playable on JP/Asia versions. Navigating menus and soforth is a cinch, so you shouldn't have any trouble really.

I really don't think you're ever gonna get a cheaper price than that. It's well, well worth that price. I highly recommend it!

Does nintendo own those two IPs?
No, but don't they partially own the studio behind xenoblade? Like a second party arrangement?

EDIT: Top-o-page...YouTube App. Seriously, do not sleep on this. One of the more streamlined and intuitive YouTube apps I've used on any device. :)

Depends what you mean by 'better'. :P

What are you enjoying about it so far? If it's the battles, then.. there's a lot more of those to come. If it's the characters and story, then.. there's a lot more of that to come, as well! It's a long game. What difficulty are you playing on? The lower the difficulty the less time you'll be spending in battles, obviously. And the more time you'll have to spend with Rise.

And any Europeans using Wake-Up Club?

I don't, but I could if you want!
