And that is why no one wants MS to buy Atlus lol.
There is another reason also, Jrpgs and Microsoft don't seem to mix together well. The Jrpgs that were released on Xbox 360 didn't seem to be doing as good as those that were released on Ps3 and Wii.
And that is why no one wants MS to buy Atlus lol.
Ignorance is bliss?Look at Monolith. Look at Retro. Look at pretty much everything Nintendo owns. They spread things out. The stuff they own ends up looking like single teams, not entire companies.
Ignorance is bliss?
Monolith Soft made games since the Nintendo buyout:
Soma Bringer (DS) 2008
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier (DS) 2008
Disaster: Day of Crisis (Wii) 2009
Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans (DS) 2009
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier Exceed (DS) 2010
Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii) 2010
Project X Zone (3DS) 2012
X (Wii U) 2014
New RPG Project (3DS) TBA
Monolith Soft contracted support on games since the Nintendo buyout:
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) 2008
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii) 2011
Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) 2012
People think Sony is a good idea? The same Sony that passed on Demon Soul and have Atlus bring it over to the USA?

Nintendo bought a controlling interest in Monolith Soft in 2007, but the company wasn't actually a first party until 2011. Namco still owned a stake until then.
Didn't Banpresto do most of the Super Robot/Project X Zone stuff?
Anyway, you're right. For some reason I thought Atlus' output was a lot higher, but looking at their release schedule, I realized I was including games published by them in my mind.
I still don't know if Nintendo would be a good idea, though.
Europe can burn so long as it preserves Atlus USA. Sorry.Whoever buys them should have a EU publishing presence
Sony didnt know the potential it had. Not really the same. Pretty sure now they know LOL
Right if Sony is running things how many games will they pass on?
Banpresto produced them, (Nintendo owned) Monolith developed them.Didn't Banpresto do most of the Super Robot/Project X Zone stuff?

I dont think Sony will do this. They give creative freedom to their devs.
Sony knows that SMT and Persona are worth localizingThats different from game they decide to localize.
Thats different from game they decide to localize.
All I want is more Etrian Odyssey, so I'm hoping they stay 3rd party of Nintendo.

Pretty sure Sony would publish (or is that Atlus?) Persona in the west.
Souls was a new IP. Persona is not
Atlus is more than SMT. Do you see Sony as a company that would localize a game like Catherine?
They should have released Persona 5 on PS3/360 earlier in the generation instead of making stuff like Catherine, They had a franchise with a ton of traction in the US but chose to go with a new I.P. Some stupid handling that was.
They did localize games like Folklore and Tokyo JungleAtlus is more than SMT. Do you see Sony as a company that would localize a game like Catherine?
They'd definitely fund it (NCL funds TONS of more niche projects), but NOA might not bring it over. :/
They're fanboys. Why would people want Sony or Nintendo to buy them? That just means Atlus would be company-specific. Honestly screw that.
Hush now. Vidyageams need their wars. Why would people want Sony or Nintendo to buy them? That just means Atlus would be company-specific. Honestly screw that.
You realize that Nintendo also has the 3DS, where new entries in atlus franchises like Etrian Odyssey and Shin Megami Tensei have sold more units than ever right?Atlus games would do well on the Dreamcast 2.
The smart play would be for MS to buy them. Get all those RPGs as Xbone exclusives and maybe sell some units in Japan.

Just 2 things:
1. Japan has absolutely zero interest in Microsoft now.
Yeah, nevermind my opinions on getting an XB1, there's the fact many of Atlus's best games were handheld titles, work BEST as handheld titles, and that companies like Rare ended up trashed. Microsoft buying them is one of the worst possible fates they can have, seriously.Microsoft buying Atlus? I mean, I'm getting an Xbox One but....

Nintendo makes the most sense.
I dunno, if we're to take the "merge/be bought by a company with a European presence" Tecmo Koei is the one that LOOKS like it might have the room to allow Atlus USA to stick around, not unless there is a healthy, active TK USA and it's just they have no PR front.Europe can burn so long as it preserves Atlus USA. Sorry.
