Most of those guys went on to Quarter Up (under Skybound) and recently developed the Invincible VS game.Work on Killer Instinct sequel.
I wonder if some of the Iron Galaxy KI devs will be absorbed into Quarter Up.That's incorrect. The guys working on Invincible VS is from Double Helix, the devs that originally launched the new KI.
Iron Galaxy took over for Double Helix for KI development after Amazon bought Double Helix.
Interesting. Guess I will check that out. Most of those guys went on to Quarter Up (under Skybound) and recently developed the Invincible VS game.
Someone has to.Interesting. Guess I will check that out.
Boyes stepped down from his position as co-CEO in August 2024 and Blasko remained as the company's sole CEO.[53] In February 2025, Iron Galaxy announced it would lay off 66 developers and support staff as a "means of last resort" for the company to stay afloat.
It really sucks. It sucks even more so when you're also laid off during that time and want to stay in the industry. Because now you're competing with a pool of 1000+ people all looking for work in the same industry, lol.Must suck being a game dev, every week it's more layoffs.
Their last project was the shitty THPS 3+4 remake.
It wasn't an ideal remake. Steam reviews are mixed:Is it bad? It's on sale so was thinking of picking it up soon.
I guess it's because the foundation of 3 and 4 (mostly 4) is not ideal. It wasn't an ideal remake. Steam reviews are mixed:
It's because they completely changed the mission structure of 4, basically just ported the maps to the thps3 structure. that's why I didnt buy it - not much point basking in nostalgia when you've changed the entire game structure and it's just level tourism.I guess it's because the foundation of 3 and 4 (mostly 4) is not ideal.
sameThese guys suck at their jobs, couldn't care less.
Nah give it to someone elseWork on Killer Instinct sequel.

Not going to be super upset about this considering how they ruined TH3+4. Maybe they shoud have focused on making ports and remasters, not remakes with some terrible changes.
Can't say I'm surprised after turning in that weak offering in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4, whose only redeeming qualities are coasting off what Vicarious Visions built in 1+2.
It is awesome. The original THPS4 was mediocre junk by comparison. The outcries are nonsense. Is it bad? It's on sale so was thinking of picking it up soon.

I largely agree with this as someone that never even finished THPS4 back in the day despite beating the first three dozens and dozens of times across multiple platforms...but I understand people being upset about the changes and cut content.![]()
THPS3+4 is dope. It is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 but better in every way (like skitching) and they added the enjoyable parts of 4 sans annoying missions and reused levels. The online shared custom levels with goals and collectibles are totally new and they even added a photo mode and an option to tackle goals for an extended amount of time. Hard to go back to older games after all the features this added. Only bummer is a lot of tracks got cut due to licensing shenanigans and zoo stage is a barren competition stage.
