Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | June 2013 | Late Ports and Late Threads

Is there a place that takes all of the events from 999 and lays it out in preperation for Zero Escape:VLR? I keep wanting to play the game, but I really don't feel like having to play 999 first. It feels like getting all the way to the true ending is going to be really repetitive because it doesn't have the features put into VLR that make it less of a slog.

It's a pretty complicated story but Wikipedia has a pretty good summary of it. Also if you do have access to the game, you only really need to finish the game twice to see the true ending as long as you make sure you finish your first playthrough with the
Safe
Ending. It's recommended you do that instead if that is an option. You wouldn't be repeating many puzzles that way, if any.

If they released a 128, I'd pay extortion rates for it.
But 64? All my content still won't fit.

No incentive for me to move from a 32gb card at this point.

Yeah, gonna wait until they release a 128GB. However, if it has taken them this long to produce 64GB, I expect 128 not to come any time soon.

The rumor that 64GB memory card to be introduced has been circulating in Japanese forums for past 1-2 months, so it may be real after all...

I'm content with my 16 GB too actually. I only resort to downloading the games when it comes to cross buy or PSN only stuff.

Digital-only shouldn't even be an option for games as big as Atelier. It's pretty much the only game that can fit on my 4GB so I still haven't played it..

Soul Saga: Episode 1 made more than US$ 10.000 today after announcing PS4 and PSVita ports for the game... they have now more than US$ 74.000 and tomorrow they'll pass the goal for those versions for sure.

I supported them with 15 bucks for a PS4/PSVita key so... I could say I just bought my first PS4 game (even when I'll play it on my Vita most probably).

Thanks for pointing this out! I just contributed $15 as well. Hopefully it'll be good.

That's great to hear!
I was really hoping the project would hit the goal, seems like a perfect fit for the Vita.

I mayaswell ask here though seeing as how I've never used kickstarter before, are the codes a specific region/PSN store only? If not I'd happily back it and give my $15 worth.

famousmortimer saying it is confirmation enough for me.

I asked about the regions:
For sure this will be on the NA and EU regions, but I am going to try to get on other regions too. It should be very doable, but I just have to make sure! If it doesn't come to the region you need it, I promise to refund you. =)

I asked about the regions:
Thanks, I mayaswell back it then. I think European codes work on the Aussie store (most UK game import codes bar a few work fine here) so I should be alright when it comes to redeeming it even if Disastercake can't get other regional codes.

To tell you folks the truth I am kind of pissed about the 64 GB news because my 32 GB card I just bought recently. Selfish thoughts I know, but can't help it, hahaha.

If I buy a Vita from a different region (Middle East) that comes with a memory stick will it be compatible with the games and memory stick of my region (Canada)? And would there be any problems if I registered a North American account on the system and use the PSN cards sold here?

Thanks

Luckily I havent bought 32gb, trying to get along with 4 & 16 gb cards. Oh well, hopefully Sony drops the price littlebit, then I can think of buying 32 or 64 gb card.

I bought mine for $87 off amazon a year ago, not long before PSOne roll out, and I just buy stuff for Vita like a madman anyway, so an upgrade to 64GB won't feel like I'm taking a hit.

I don't regret it. Even though I never buy digital if physical retail is available, mine's still been full since I got it, and since then I've just had to change my original plans, and switch out a fat PSOne and PSP stockpile with actual Vita games... now it's 30+ digital-only Vita titles, a small handful of PSM games, and 1 bubble full of PSP games that aren't impractical to have around, ex: Metal Slug Anthology.

I'd be glad to be able to put my PSOne and other PSP games back on, and have the flexibility to do things like buy Class of Heroes 2, or use my digital copy of LBPV instead of my physical copy and have quicker access to it to play/create more regularly... and who knows, maybe even put music and a movie on it. I forgot it even does that.

...but, I read this awhile back the last time I went searching for confirmation of a 64GB rumor -

I'm not really sure why you think that there should be 128GB or 256GB PS Vita cards, when the largest retail micro SDHC cards, which are made with the same technology, have a 32GB capacity. Sony's cards may cost three times as much as micro SDHC cards, but that extra money isn't paying to ship Sony's memory cards via time warp from the year 2017.

...in this old thread from 2/2012 - http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Vita-Support/64GB-128GB-256GB-cards-LiveArea-Limits-Main-Post-updated-2-13-13/td-p/37150996 - and don't know if this is true or not... or if it no longer holds true.

No problems
Except for maybe technical support
The hardware and software is region free

.
If you do get the 64 GB how'd you like selling the 32 to a fellow gaffer

Yeah, the max micro sd card seems to be 64 gigs right now, so that's probably it for Vita cards as well..

But I'm sure it will go up. When the PSP launched, I think the biggest was 32 megabytes? So it improved like 100x to 32 GB.

64 GB would mean that they've moved from SDHC based tech (which is limited to 32 GB), to SDXC - which has a theoretical limit of 2048 GB. So yeah, there should be plenty of room to increase the memory card capacity as their manufacturing process improves.

Just got NFS Most Wanted, played a bit and it is the whole game like i have on pc. Incredible how they did this also still looks amazing on such powerfull handheld. Also logged in to my origin account and there was all my autolog features. It looks and plays great! Now i have enough to do in the coming months but i am still planning to buy a bigger memory card that will be next month.

can the current vita hardware even support that tech? or would it only be viable for a relaunched vita 2.0?
SDXC based memory cards? The standard has been available in consumer products since 2010, so Sony could certainly have incorporated it when designing the Vita memory cards.

I would argue that the game doesn't actually look amazing, but it definitely plays amazing. 60 fps, openworld. Great game.

Yay! With a 64gb card and I can sell both my 32gb and have all my games on the same card! :0

So many games ready to play in an instant
Would you be willing to sell me one? Hit me up with a PM if you are. I'll be out of town this weekend so I won't check often, but I'd love to upgrade to a 32. (I mean, this is assuming the 64gb exists)

In the uk?

If you are and they announce 64gb ones then sure :) is get shit trade in anyway I'm sure

Hopefully the 64GB rumour turns out to be more Batman rumours from mortimer than the Rainbow 6 rumours from mortimer. I'm sure I'll fill 64GB up just as quickly as I did 32, but it'd still be nice to not have to delete stuff for a few months.

I don't think the Rainbow Six rumours were Mortimer's. They were from a different leaker who also leaked details on Assassin's Creed 4 and other Ubisoft stuff.

Anyone know where i can buy teh PSP Vita Game / Memory Port Cover for the Vita? Mines mysteriously came off (I blame my babies)

Fantastic news about a 64gb memory card. They better price it right though. The memory cards need to go down in price to make 100% digital gaming more easy to implement for people.

Also, I completed Epic Mickey 2. Fun game not without faults. I hope there won't be any interesting deals or new games to buy, as there are enough to focus on my backlog XD I've continued with Soul Sacrifice again and hope to focus on it properly.

I lost interest in Uncharted after an hour. I never found the auto-platforming fun to watch. The "rubbings" were never enjoyable for me as well.

I found that I only enjoyed the shooting parts, and even those weren't as enjoyable for me as Unit 13

Yeah i was suprised by it also. Never played Uncharted before but looks solid and with the touchscreen and touchpad behind it works wonderfull.

Uncharted GA was an interesting experience for me. I was pretty amazed to be playing an Uncharted game on a portable system at the time. It looks pretty great. Tilting the system to help aim (combined with the analog stick) and zooming with the rear touchpad worked amazingly well. But the quality of the game itself isn't on UC1-3 levels, graphics notwithstanding. The rubbings and other forced touch events were awful, enough to really knock down my enjoyment of the game a peg or two. There were way too many of them. UC1-3 are expertly paced, in GA I wanted to skip bullshit constantly. I don't remember any particular interesting set pieces or encounters, unlike the PS3 games. Still a good game and shows that TPSs can work really well on the system. Do any other Vita games have similar aim mechanics?
