Nothing will come of this :(

exclusive Sakurai mail leak:

"Ok dude, last chance... do you want Bayo on smash or not?. If you don't answer this mail in the next 5 hours, she's out"

We better not lose boss battles since Subspace isn't making a return :(

Boss battles were great and a nice way of having certain characters that would otherwise be out of place in the normal roster for various reasons.

We also better not be making a return to Melee's adventure mode -_-

That was atrocious and i still don't see how it was better than Subspace.

You and I share the same opinions. We must be brothers.

And I think I disagree with both points.

Boss battles in Smash have always been kinda clunky, having an opponent that doesn't flinch at all when hit - Master Hand fights are fun and all, but it always felt weird.

And Adventure Mode in Melee was shorter, which made it more accessible to replaying, while it focused more on the worlds the fighters came from, instead of generic original locations. Subspace Emissary's boon, meanwhile, was its plot, which was a bit barebones, but appreciated all the same - but I kinda miss the shorter mode.

In the camp for Marlee adventure mode++. It's weird but I never got bored of it.

Throw in oot pig Ganon for another giga bowser based battle. Masked dedede.

Melee's adventure mode felt like something slapped together at the last minute just to be said to have an adventure mode.

Subspace felt more like what you would expect in a side scrolling adventure also it provided a great way to unlock every character in one play-through if you wanted to as opposed to x amount of vs matches for some of the other characters. I will admit though that it did need some tweaking for the characters that didn't feel like they controlled properly if that makes sense.

The lack of flinching is what set boss battles apart for me and made them seem/feel like bosses rather than oversized characters. All of the boss battles (For me at least) were enjoyable because of that.

I still think there's potential in short, character specific adventure modes that carry them through related Nintendo worlds.

Something for Mario being similar to "Bowser has kidnapped Peach! Again! So now track him down through Hyrule and Dream Land"

Meanwhile, Bowser's has him doing it in reverse, to kidnap Peach in the first place, and take down the other tyrant kings in the process.

Probably not the most articulate way to put it, but I think it's got some potential if we're abandoning a bombastic adventure mode.

That would be cool.

I have a feeling that we might have multiple characters that would unlock specific characters for example,

Play as Mario, Princess Peach or Bowser to unlock Luigi
Play as Pit to unlock Palutena
Play as Palutena to unlock Medusa
Play all Retro characters to unlock Duck Hunt Dog
Play as Ike to unlock Marth
Play as Marth to unlock Takamaru

Sounds boring to me, I need large over arching bull crap story crossoever that ends up with a team up and defeat of some evil god thing

Then again I like comic books, so that would explain that.

Sounds like a lot of work for something you'll play once.

The new Mewtwo form makes me less excited about the possibility of his return.
