Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS: Info Collection - Dojo, Mega Man and Trailer! 2014!

A Wario situation would be much appreciated.

But completely impossible to expect because the forms have the "tail" (in quotes because his forme's "tail" is on its head) in different places. In order to have everything the same (hurtboxes, animations, hitboxes, etc) the bones would have to be the same for both skins, meaning the tails would have to be in the same spot. As a result, if Mewtwo still used tail attacks in any capacity (which I imagine he still would) it would be impossible to work it out to have one or the other as a skin ala Wario.

And trying to apply the tail bone to where Mewtwo's forme's tail head thing would just cause janky animations and everything else. Not to mention the physics would turn out janky too. :x

Wario's alt works because none of his animations need to be altered to take into account his new alt. No bones change and no hurtboxes change either. It's literally just a new model that can be easily rigged to Wario's boneset. Mewtwo's forme (or the other way around) would not have that luxury.

The only way to have Wario-like alts is if they are like a situation with Mario and Dr. Mario: it's just a new model that has nothing new added onto it that would affect hurtboxes, hitboxes, or animations.

I didn't think it was rational it's just the only way to please everyone. I don't expect it to happen.

His new form sucks...

My only hope is that we get classic Mewtwo which seems unlikely. I was disappointed he was cut from Brawl, his moveset was fun to use, and he could be awesome if he was buffed. What is his role in the new games and anime coming out?

OK how about this?

In this Smash instead of polygons, wire frames, multi man, we get Miis, but the Miis are Reggie, Iwata, Miyamoto and Sakurai?

This needs to happen so bad. Or, Mii as a playable character with a 100 Mii Battle challenge, where all the faces are pulled from your system or random.

It could be done if Mewtwo's moveset is tweaked exactly with those aspects in mind. So, yes, it'd mean making Mewtwo lose all tail attacks. To be fair, I don't think anyone would cry much over that.

I think it'd be interesting if his alternate form were implemented as a temporary power up of sorts - not changing his moveset, just boosting stats and some proprieties. It'd be an unique feature and could be done if they tweak his moveset.

Mewtwo is starring in a tv special and appears saving Ash in the upcoming movie. The circumstances behind his new form haven't been cleared up yet though, but it seems like he needs it to fight against a special Genesect (a legendary pokemon which seems to lead more of his own species).

Just watched the FFXV and KH3 crowd reaction vid and realized that Mega Man in Smash would have had an insane reaction.

That is probably the biggest reason I would have loved a live press conference.

Yeah not to mention it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a stream, terrible lag, didn't even progress at times and skipped several minutes ahead in others, audio and video not syncing up, etc. Really really awful, had to rewatch most of it off of Nintendo's Youtube channel afterwards so I would have definitely preferred a live conference.

It's not in all situations, granted. Just way too many. When dodging or attacking like in the screens I was referencing, it shouldn't have the "neutral" (but not really neutral, given that we humans see a smile) expression going on. It's not respectful to the character's history.

It might still change, since he has that same-y face.

Do you have a link to that one? Or is it just the reaction from the event itself?

Wouldn't it make more sense for Mewtwo to be able to either switch his forme back and forth like Zelda and Sheik or for the new Mewtwo to be the final smash for classic Mewtwo? He seems to be able to switch back and forth at will if the trailer for the TV special is anything to go by.

In Smash Brothers games yes.

If they just remove SSE and don't add any equivalent experience in other ways, this game will just lose appeal. I don't see how that would help anything. Exactly because SSE wasn't all that great, Smash Bros had great potential to expand there. Just tweaking the fighting engine, adding more stages and fighters would inevitably result in lower sales than its predecessor, even if it had a installed base as big as Brawl had.

That's why they need tp re[;ace SSE with a MOBA mode, obviously.

I highly disagree. I don't think most people buy Smash Bros for the story mode. If the multiplayer is good people will buy it. Anything else is a bonus.

I really hope that it would be Wonder-Red from Kamiya because I would like to see Sega's spot going to Sonic to debut once again.

With that partnership that Sega has with Nintendo maybe they'll be allowed 2 characters! But in all seriousness I just want another 3rd party that shakes things up like snake.

In just a fan of crossovers even when people say they don't make sense.

no one cares about smash bros single player

except break the targets that shit is awesome

Just tried Project M. They got alot of things right, Link feels so much better in Project M. If only they hadn't randomly changed other characters movesets for no good reason.

Just a theory, what if Kamiya and Sakurai are working together on Takamaru's re-design as part of laying the ground work for an "Uprising" reboot of his game?

In terms of SSE, I think it would be better if they went back to a Melee style adventure mode. No big, silly cutscenes, no "story", just a set of stages where you fight enemies and characters from all kinds of different Nintendo games.

Yeah, I have thought of that. We'll see about that. At same time, it could be for Star Fox. ;)

I just watched Mega Man trailer, and I noticed a cool thing about his cutscene where it would shown which robot he used ability from.

Cool thing abou that he filed up the robot master's ability that he copied in his mind with DWN #. It said DWN 04 on Guts Man and DWN 09 on Metal Man. They were correct in order if you count from top to down, but rest of robots were wrong. I think.

All of the Robot Masters have number codes in the series, shown in the end credits of each game. So the DWNs should match the canon ones.

Don't forget RACE TO THE FINISH

Honestly, let's just say everything in single player mode was great except for SSE.

It's true, it's true.

Praying for no super elaborate Adventure mode. Melee Adventure mode was fine. something like that with a bit more polish would be perfect, and hopefully not take up so much dev time.

I suspected that Tom Nook might be secret character since he was staring at the mail.

My theory is that the story mode will have you traipsing through worlds and enemies from actual Nintendo games with each world having a boss type character that is more often than not, playable.
Please be playable, Nook

They would care if it was done right. One word: Boss fights.

In my opinion they just need to get rid of the platforming aspect altogether. SSB is not a platformer, it's a fighter. It would be cool if instead, maybe you get to fight a bunch of NPCs one after the other and finish off with a boss, or something of that nature.

Pretty much, yeah. I have a same idea. Retro characters would get something generic or famous villain from old game.

Pit > Medusa/Hade/Dark Pit/Possessed Palutena
Samus > Ridley
Donkey Kong > K. Kool

they just working out a vision for how to revive takamaru for next smash

Don't get my hopes up.

That would honestly be pretty cool if Takamaru was in.

Ugggmmm. I really want Takamaru to be in SSB4, but I have a feeling that he wouldn't be in the game. :-\
