Well, EDGE, I wonder how your relationship with Microsoft will be from here on out. Way to be a neutral source for information.
Maybe you should cite specific parts of the article that point out how they aren't being a neutral source.
As of now Sony's console is:
1. More powerful according to all leaks and fragmented information given by MS, using apples to apples numbers directly from the manufacturer of both system's GPUs.
2. $100 cheaper at launch.
3. Smaller in design and not from a product line with the single worst launch defect the industry has seen.
4. With an updated controller that most who have used it are in love with.
5. Comes with a headset.
6. Hides fewer services behind it's pay wall, actually gives users content back in return for the pay wall via PS+.
7. Has studios like Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog, Polyphony Digital, etc. all working exclusively on it.
I mean, that's just the facts. Pretty hard to see where it requires any kind of real bias to sum up the equation as decidedly favoring Sony and that is before you include the wildly inconsistent, incoherent, and verbally incontinent "PR" we've seen from Microsoft regarding their new system.
Also, I really hope you aren't suggesting they should have bit their tongue simply to keep MS happy. That is the very problem with the games media, their unfailing willingness to toe the line and keep their traps shut if it keeps advertisers happy. Seeing a major publication like EDGE buck that trend should be a good sign to EVERY gaming enthusiast.
