The summer claim check is most likely for a major TF2 update that's coming soon. The crates released yesterday are not related and just have some community made items that were recently added to the game.

I understand why they do it, but as a customer, it sucks for me. I want to give them money during the Steam sale, but it'll suck if I can't because I'm not here.

Buying games on mobile works great. Especially if you have money in the wallet. Just a one or two click buy.

Everybody should check Shards of Honor out. It's more than worth it for that book alone! Not really the best in the one, but quite a nice start of a great series.
