Xbox Live: Ultimate Game Sale - Now Live - Great Deals!

C'mon son haven't you been waiting for this sale for longest? I know I have and so I bought all of the above as soon the price changed (save for the Mechromancer which I bought during a previous sale). I would definitely say to jump on it or else you're gonna be kicking yourself in the OT for not having done so.

Haha yeah I have been waiting for this sale for a long time now...

Fuck it. I just bought all the DLC. I hope you're happy Jipan.

any guesses on how much XCOM will be?

haha yeah agreed. It's pretty fun, surprisingly polished (for a non-big-budget WRPG anyways loool). seems like there's quite a bit of content too.

Yea expect a definite level of jank in terms of combat, but all the other systems such as character progression, skills, loot, exploration rewards, and a mad number of secrets to uncover is all surprisingly polished and accessible.

Mind read all! Ignore the xp debt entirely. Plenty to earn to cover it, and the rewards are too humorous and beneficial to ever pass up!

holy shit bulletstorm is so much better than i remember when i got it on release day (and i thought it was fucking awesome then).

love it. maybe ill actually finish it this time 0_0

One of the secret best games of the generation. It's simply enjoyable from start to finish. And surprisingly entertaining writing all the way through. I had a blast playing it and you're making me want to go back to work on Echoes more. I got all the skill shots when I went through and beat it and also replayed sections for other achievements.

I know it won't be for every single person out there but it's definitely worth purchasing at this sale price. Once you get about thirty minutes in and get your gear and start getting into a bunch of fights it just takes off.

I can't imagine the swiss XBL prices are cheap, I'd imagine they are crazy expensive.
Take a look at the Hungarian site, that's the cheapest one for me.

You need to buy a minimum of 800MSP for the hungarian store

Thanks. Will any EU points card work there?

Yeah, the mind-read feature sold me on the game immediately. From there, I liked the way the world opened up and you're right, there's a ton of rewarding secrets.

Yeah, everyone buy Bulletstorm if you don't have it. Amazing game that rejuvenated my faith in FPS games(then crushed them by not selling well).

As a huge fan of Perfect Dark I'm guessing Zero ain't worth it?

I'd never let my family touch any of this stuff
Are the games fundamentally bad versions, or what? I'd rather have kids playing the real thing initially at least to appreciate low-tech entertainment to some extent, but it doesn't seem particularly offensive to offer.

Come on somone on here I bet knows what deals are coming, spill some beans I have points to spend
The news story of "day 2" was done at 7 PM last night, bbout. So I'd say you have 5-6 hours to see the new deals, assuming the update times aren't all over the place.

And... yeah, $15's the max for me on Forza Horizon. I'm curious to try the series even if it's more of an offshot, AND to be honest I'd like to seriously try Smartglass and see how it works, but I'm not so excited to get it that I'd spend $20. I got Gamefly again, I'd just rent it after 4.

Hmmm... I may end up with a lot more points to spend before this deal is over.

According to my brother XBL cards and board games are the gifts of choice this year.

So Witcher 2 is a definite whenever we get the final cost. But I kind of want another RPG or Rising.

Is Divinity worth it? I mean that's a freaking low cost... but I'll already have a good medieval/tolkien fantasy rpg in Witcher 2. Given what I've read one I'll easily be able to sink 100's of hours into.

But that Rising demo made me a believer in that title whole-heartedly but Divinity did not inspire confidence.

gotta ask this too, was the divinity demo any sort of representation of the final game?

choppy, boring, etc.?

I believe the demo was the original version, which got really bad reactions from everyone at launch. I've heard the remastered version is a really good game

No, I had a Dragon Knight Saga demo that I finally deleted after getting the full game. Not unless that was just a rebranded vanilla demo for some crazy reason.

Lego Batman 2 kept freezing on a black screen while trying to start a new game, deleted and redownloading.
Still doesn't work, also tried clearing my cache. The opening menu has a camera panning to show Gotham. At some point during this, the video freezes and the sound mutes, but I can still navigate the menu. The guide sounds are also muted until I kick back to the dashboard. When I try to start a new game, I am greeted with a black screen. When I try to load that new game, I get a black screen. I have deleted all of my saves, tried downloading the game again, still problems. I tried a few other games, both GoD and disc, and my 360 worked fine. Who do I contact for help and/or a refund?

What kid goes "Hey guys I wanna play Monopoly or Table Tennis on the 360 in living room, awww yeah fuck physical copies"?

I love Monopoly.

I play it all the time on my phone, and I've played Streets on the 360 already. Even have all of the achievements for it on my phone (took forever for the RNG to grant me the roll three doubles in a row to go to jail one).

I love the physical copy of course, and if I can get people to play it with me, I will. But sometimes doing it on the 360 is easier. No setup/cleanup, nobody has to worry about the rules as the game enforces those (and they're all tweakable) and I can play it with the AI if nobody is down.

Bought table tennis game lol. I actually really enjoy tennis and table tennis games, especially on the Wii. 'T was only 3 euros anyway.

I'm really curious where this Divinity II hype is coming from. I've never actually read anything about this game before on GAF and I can vaguely remember playing the demo, a crappy, janky oblivion lookalike.

Orange Box is sorta tempting, but I have it on PC, TF2's a wasteland on consoles, and I wasn't as blown away by HL2 as much of the internet was. And in the short period I had access to a copy I ripped through Portal already.

Witcher 2 grabbed though. I'd normally prefer getting the CE stuff, but I got that with my PC version.

Holy crap. I never finished HL2, never played Episode 1 nor Episode 2, and never played TF2. Maybe this is worth my time and money?

Don't bother playing the 360 version of TF2. Valve hasn't supported it for a loonggg time. If you want to play it, you need to play the PC version.

HL2 and the episodes are absolutely worth playing though, and that alone is worth the $5.

Christ Almighty man, buy that shit.

$5 is nonsense for The Orange Box. Nonsense.

With these prices, I'm getting more hopeful that Rising and Infinite may actually hit $20.

I CAN admittedly see value in revisiting it on 360 anyway, it's almost like opening a time capsule! But if you want to seriously play it for more than a few novelty rounds (or for the explicit purpose of playing it as it was on release) you absolutely should be playing on PC instead.

I'm curious what others have to say about this as well.

I've dl'ed and played the demo 3 or 4 times since launch day, hoping I would like it. It was ass everytime, but maybe it was a bad demo or a bad level?

Prices haven't dropped for me yet but if Witcher is 10 euros and Orange Box 5 I'll grab them for sure. Crysis 3 for 20 bucks seems reasonable as well but I don't think I'll grab it for that price.
