Xbox Live: Ultimate Game Sale - Now Live - Great Deals!

Both fantasy RPGs but they are very different besides that. Skyrim is open world emergent gameplay and Witcher is a much more focused combat oriented game.
Witcher shares more in common with Bioware RPGs if anything rather than Skyrim. Similar structures, albeit the "hubs" are gone through in linear order rather than letting you chose which to tackle first.

Not really similar at all. Witcher 2 isn't even really open world in the way Skyrim is, more sectioned off depending on which chapter you're in.
The combat is quite difficult to grasp at first too, I died a lot until I found something that worked for me. Totally worth those first few rough hours though, one of the best games I played this gen.

Okay cool, that's actually what I wanted to hear.

Witcher 2 is a great port. Definitely recommended for any RPG fan. I didn't feel totally lost either (didn't play the first one).

Table Tennis is another good one. Just a relaxing and fun game to play. For 3 bucks (US) you can't go wrong.

Was gonna go with Lego LOTR myself but I got too much on the backlog. DL the demo and enjoyed it well enough but I just think I'll get a physical copy somewhere down the road.

Supposed to be one of the better ports out there, screenshots actually looked nicer in SOME ways, though resolution + FPS would still put PC ahead, especially with the textures it had.

Still, given my old 9800GT could barely handle it on low, which along with its twin the 8800GT could normally crush console ports, it's amazing the 360 version came out like it did. And both are why I'm seriously considering getting Witcher 3 on PS4 rather than PC, though I am going to take into account the physical packages.

Is Lego Batman 2 any better than Lego Batman?

It was an okay game. I guess it can't be any different, Lego game is a Lego game.

Damn, I might not be able to go digital only next gen. Downloading Witcher 2 now and am impatient as hell :P

Bah, looks like The Witcher 2 isn't gonna drop in Yurop. Oh well, I'll be fine with Far Cry 3.

Don't the PS4 and Xbone have 'play while you download' type features? I know at least the PS4 does.

I believe Lego Batman 2 is open world, and much more loved over the original. I bought it, but haven't loaded it up yet.

See how things like PlayGo workout?

Though as long as they keep making decent physical packages one way or another I couldn't go all digital. Only if Sony (and maybe Microsoft) mandated ONLY barebones packages, no LE options, might I consider going "fuck it." Though then I might stick with physical out of spite of deliberately fucking up physical in the non-DRM way.

Clunky combat or not, Witcher 2 for $10 is a steal.

What are the chances of Judgement dropping to $20? If it does I can flip my disc copy for $25.

My girlfriend who ADORES lego games and has put hundreds of hours into them hated Lego Batman 2 and loved the original. Said the camera was too zoomed out and the open world was too cluttered and chaotic to navigate.

Now this is how you do console sales. I really hope consoles have deep discount sales next Gen. Would love it, like I love my Steam.

Has anyone transfered games from their hard drive to a usb? When I try it gives me a warning that I might have to go online and transfer the license over. I don't want to transfer it over and deal with any drm nonesense. I want to know if anyone has done it and was able to play on demand/arcade games offline off their usb?

It probably means that if you play on another xbox with the usb you will need to be online with your account.

I'm sure this has already been answered so I apologize in advance, but are there enough improvements in Dragon Knight Saga to justify a purchase for someone who hated the original Divinity 2 demo?

The Crysis 3 price makes me wonder about the sale prices for the games released this year (Gears, Bioshock,TR and Rising).

They know those are the games people are waiting for, so they've kept them last...but if they're that price then LOL.

Witcher for $10 is good. I got a boxed version for $11 with the map and soundtrack, so I am still happy.
The prices have been great, but I have either had the game already or not been interested in the title.

Exactly, biggest knock on the Witcher is Combat. If they could take a page out of Dragon's Dogma book on Combat, you'd pretty much have the best RPG ever.

The Orange Box $5
Witcher 2 at $10

kind of make L4D2 $10 and Crysis 3 at $20 look like not so great buys, Crysis 3 is kind of new but you know that game is going to be cheaper

If I never played The Witcher, how lost would I be with the sequel?

I wasn't very lost at all playing the Witcher 2 without playing the first. They do a good job at explaining some things that happened in the first game, and overall it ended up being one of my favorite games.

Well worth the 10$ they are asking for.
