Top 3 Most Wanted Imaginary Games

yeah, pretty much, whatever game you'd want, on whatever console.

#1. Kojima text adventure game for DS. i think he'd do some great directing with the cinemas, especially if he made them jump from one screen to another. controls would be awesome too thanks to the touch screen. just touch whatever it is that you want to investigate or look at. so much potential here, im really hoping he makes a Snatcher sequal. or maybe translate Policenauts and add a good amount to it because of what the system offers. you know, really take advantage of what the system can offer.

#2. Card Fighters Clash DS. how can you go wrong here? best card battle game ever with a touch screen and online play. you're set for life.

#3. Klonoa for GameCube. i'd really love for Klonoa Works to go apeshit with the GameCube hardware.

what about you guys?

Skies of Arcadia 2
Cardfighters Clash Advance: Capcom Version
Elite: TNG

Honourable mention: a realtime 3D version of SAngband.

1.) Policenauts/Snatcher 2. Kojima mentioned not too long ago that he's interested in making a futuristic game because it'd give him alot more freedom in development compared to the MGS'. He's also mentioned that he's not against the idea of doing a new Policenauts. It'd obviously be in full 3D and in adventure game form since Kojima seems to hate text adventures like the originals. Even a remake would do actually as most people haven't gotten to play either game especially Policenauts.

2.) Kojima's MMORPG Mech game. After ZOE2's completion he mentioned that one of his dream games was a mech game in the same vein as Gundam.

3.) Lunar 3. No explanation needed.

4.) Sega Rally 3. Same as above.

5.) Napple Tale 2. A sequel to one of the most underrated platformers ever that never got released in the US for some reason.

Put them all on the PS2 or PS3. :)

Sure, but I don't care. :) CFC needs to be on a handheld, so GBA will do fine for that, and the others I listed could be on any console that can handle them graphically (so any of the current or next gen would be just fine). For some of us it's about the games, not the systems.

Although from a purely selfish point of view I'd prefer to see them on PS2/GC, because I don't have an import-friendly XBox at the moment.

Zone of The Enders 3, PS3
Final Fantasy VIII-2, PS3
Final Fantasy III, PSone/PS2
Shenmue III, Xbox Next
Sega Rally 3, Xbox Next

1. Perfect Dark remake on GameCube with the best graphics and smoothest framerate possible.

2. Another cel-shaded 3D Zelda, either on GameCube or Revolution.

3. A new Yoshi (or Kirby) 2D platformer on GameCube.

Thats all i can think of at this second.

Glad to see love for the Policenauts/Snatcher games - I was totally taken in by them.

The new Killer7 plays like Snatcher on speed - coupled with the individual abilities of the Smiths I think it's going to be very enjoyable.

Sorry to go off topic but Johnny Nighttrain and SolidSnakex if you havent seen the newer Killer7 movie you should check it out!

www.capcom.co.jp/killer7 - Movies section > top movie of the 2.

Sonic 4?
Dragon Force 3
Persona 3
Oh and a Perfect Dark sequel that actually turns out as well as the first two, within the next two years.

At the moment and in no particular order:

A massively improved Herzog Zwei sequel (Herzog Drei?) with maps and online play that can support four to eight players.

A true Wasteland sequel...Fallout doesn't really count.

A new Road Rash online game with the same great over-the-top physics of the first two games.

Some form of online Elite. If there was ever a killer app for online, it's that. I hear X2 is a pretty good offline Elite-a-like, but I can still dream.

A updated Syndicate that isn't crap.

Rez2 from Miziguchi.

I don't really care what platform they would be one. They would get my money.

oh yeah, i've been keeping up with every last detail on this game. it's gonna be fantastic i think.

#2. Card Fighters Clash DS.
I would have sex with that game. Anyway, other than that;

#1. Shenmue 3 for whichever system is the most powerful next gen. It has to be the most incredible looking game ever created, and it has to be the most interactive and immersive game ever created, and it has to have the same English voice over cast as the first two.

#2. ..Fuck it, just give me #1.

Yah i've been keeping up with it. But it does kind of worry me that Capcom doesn't seem to want to talk about it. It's never a good sign when a developer is this quite about the game. The story does sound really good so far. They should just go more indpeth with the gameplay.

1) Final Fantasy VIII-2: I want a real sequel with ALL the characters returning to fight (none of this all girl shit team like FFX-2) with a real storyline that is connected to the first game. It will be hard to top FFVIII, the best RPG in the history of mankind, but it could be possible... Faye Wong has to return for another song.

2) Lunar 3: I want it to be connected to the two earlier games and it should capture the same feel of the two games in art and music.

3) Grandia 3

If I could have a fourth choice F-Zero online would be it...

1. Street Fighter 4 - with every character from every SF game (including EX).

2. A Jak & Daxter 1 styled Mario game with 1 huge seemless world with many different areas (desert, volcano, tundra, water, grass, clouds, underground, etc). Plus all of the suits and power ups from the previous games and some new ones.

3. Remakes of Megaman 1-7, Megaman & Bass, and X1-X3 with Megaman 8/X4 style graphics, sounds, music, cut scenes, the works.

I'd go apeshit for any one of these.

I cant think of 3 games but I have a concept in mind I'd love to see;

1. 3D representation of vertical 2D shoot em up. It's Pn03 that got me thinking about this, that game is so damn clever yet hardly anyone knows about it due to the fact it's a pure skill based game not a movie where you push buttons as loved by so many. This can work and if I were in the industry it's a system I'd love to try and get working. The feeling and state of mind that 2D vertical SHMUPS give would be superb in a 3D shoot em up - but I want to take it further than just that. Pn03 should not stop here, it's so unfortunate that gamers are so narrow minded now and stuff like Driv3r actually sells....Anyway the game system of Pn03 is not understood by many it's all about the constast of smooth organic motion (you) against rigid set patterns (the enemy). This contrast is superb, as you are so agile you can use the enemies against eachother (leading huge laser cannons to point at a bunch of enemies to take them out in one blast as you get out of the way is stunning)

I want this + the mad hectic patterns of a vertical shoot em up + a highly technical attack/defense system like the BUZZ system of Psyvariar. BUZZ is where you skim enemy shots without touching them and are rewarded with a brief period of severe attacking power and invincibility - organic against robotic movement and a system similar to BUZZ for risk/reward style gameplay.

1. Virtual Pro Wrestling 3 by AKI- Bring back the classic AKI traditional wrestling style(none of that Def Jam fluff).

2. Street Fighter Alpha: Final Round- Basically SF Alpha 4, with SFIII visuals and animations, but SF Alpha 2 gameplay.

3. A game with Zombie Revenge/The Punisher arcade style beat em up gameplay. Large free roaming levels, different characters, and weapons like guns, swords, knives, pipes etc.

1. Morrowind style Star Wars rpg

2. Either a cube remake, or a direct sequel or prequel to Xenogears

3. A DBZ action rpg where you get to play as your own original saiyan you create.

Both of those are good ideas... the DBZ one would have to be set in a different place and/or time... kind of like KoTOR was...

In no real order:

Lunar 3
Chrono Break
Diablo 3
Street Fighter 4

So what if that is a top 4 list instead of a top 3?

1. Nintendo/Capcom "Kingdom Hearts" crossover style game, but with Nintendo behind the gameplay so it's actually fun to play. It would contain Hyrule, the Mushroom Kingdom, Megaman Universe(s), RE, Oni, DMC, GnG, Dreamworld, Metroid, F-zero, Kid Icarus, Bionic Commando, Street Fighter, Final Fight and loads of other Nintendo/Capcom related worlds to explore and have fun in. It would play like a cross between Zelda and Mario and have heaps of good mini games in it. This could also work as an awesome MMOG.

2. A true sequel Majora's Mask, with the same type of timer system and character interaction. It does not have to be a sequel to zelda just a sequel to the basic game plan.

3. Some sort of game where i can just wreck carnage on zombies. I just want a game with no real story but just thousands of zombies thrown all over and my goal is to blow them apart with hundreds of different weapons. This game would obviously have to emply a great physics system which would make sure that i would never see the same death animation more than once every five minutes and would have to contain huge interactive environments. The game ends when i'm the only person left alive on the planet.

I would eat my hat for any of the above games.

I can only think of one at the moment.

The resurrection of EarthWorm Jim in a game which rips off Ratchet & Clank's Weaponry HUD. You can fly between worlds on your space engine thing, collect weapons like the "home"ing Missile, have missions where you must keep Peter Puppy out of Danger, and Defeat Psycrow, Professor Monkey-For-A-Head and Queen Slug-For-a-Butt and rescue Princess Whats-her-name.

1) Elite Online, for Playstation 3, since I'll own one.
2) Autoduel Online, for Playstation 3, since I'll own one.
3) 3D action based Nethack with all the ridiculous depth of play intact in addition to a really good technical combat system, for Playstation 3, since I'll own one. Hey, make that online too while we're at it.

Final Fantasy VI-2, PS2- I want it to look similar to the FMV to the PSone version of VI as far as art style

Bushodo Blade 3, PS2 -set in the time oweriod when Meikyokan originally stole the blade, with no life meters, plenty of weapons, and large interactive environments.

Crystalis 2, GC or PS2-just a great, true action RPG

I know I'm a persistent Nethack-basher, but I really don't see a direct conversion of Nethack to 3D working well - the game just has too much garbage in there for it to work consistently (kitchen sinks and all...)

I know I suggested an Angband variant, but thinking about it that might not be the easiest choice either given the licensing issues (be they Tolkien or Zelazny...) Perhaps ADOM would be a better choice than either - it's got the quest-driven nature of Nethack, but in a much better thought out and much more consistent package. If you haven't played it yet then head over to the ADOM homepage and download a copy.

metal slug 6, from the original development team, in which marco and co. storm the offices of playmore and mega entertainment and make the usurpers pay for bastardizing the greatest franchise in gaming history. in glorious low resolution 2d.

I did want a US release of Policenauts, but I've beaten the JPN ver of it like 3 times now, and I'm almost certain English voiceovers would ruin it. They'd have to use original voice and sub it.

1. SSB 3 on Revolution with some online play, some kind of replay mode, and more characters and stages plz.

2. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 3 (or even another Porche Unleashed) on any system, because while Underground is mildly entertaining, it doesn't have the pure adreniline of racing around in Porches and Ferraris and running from the cops.

3. A 2-dimensional, ORIGINAL Super Mario platformer for the GBA. For the love of all things holy, it's been almost ten years since we last had one of these games.

I thought they did a really good with the casting for Snatcher some i'm sure the English cast would be good if they got around to doing it. But it's always weird to hear characters sounding different when you're use to hearing them sound a certain way. So considering you've heard the voices in the Japanese Policenauts so much an English version is always going to sound off. Its one reason why alot of people were subbed anime over dubbed. It's not so much that the English acting is bad, it's just that they use to hearing the characters sound a speicifc way because they probably watched the fansubs while waiting for the official release.

DS, my friend, DS

StarFox Adventures 2

Am I the only one who loved the original? :( I thought it was great yet short. I'd love to see a sequel developed by Nintendo themselves where they basically expand on everything the first did and make it much more longer.

Format: GC or Nintendo Revolution

Policenauts/Snatcher/New Hideo Kojima game

I reckon Hideo Kojima is one of the most talented minds in the gaming industry right now and I can't wait to see what he brings next.

Format: Any

A good Cowboy Bebop game

Name says it all really. It could make for an awesome game, I think.

Format: Any but preferably next gen.

Oh, and someone mentioned Road Rash? Yet another game that was ruined by some shit games. The Saturn/PS Road Rash was pretty damn good, very clean graphics. Road Rash 3D played pretty dodgy, and Jailbreak looked shit too.

If they could make an online version the game, and not add any of this 'realism' shit to what happened to a lot of the franchises in the 32-Bit era [like NBA Jam]. but perhaps not go too far into the mutated heads of the Saturn game, then we might be onto something. Heck, even a DS version of the game with Wireless play with 8+ people would rock.

Another EA game that needs to be resurrected is the Strike series. Again, the PSX games ruined it. Give me a new game, with 3D graphics, but still on an isometric scale. the DS would be great for this sort of game, since changing from the map and back was such a pain in the originals.

1. A translated compilation of all the Japanese SNES RPGs that never made it overseas.

2. Remake of Final Fantasy IV or VI for a console

3. A turn-based RPG set in the Masters of the Universe world

Fact: The DS can access both the GBA media bay and DS media bay simultaneously.

Fact: GBA Video carts can store up to 45 minutes of FMV with audio.

I'd love to see a cinematic adventure game take advantage of that.

That's the thing, if I wanted a more simplified dungeon hack/experience treadmill, I wouldn't need to post it in this thread since we're already getting stuff like that. I want all the chaos and complexity, that's the whole point. I want to be identifying rings by dropping them down sinks, digging through walls, making polypiles, eating corpses and scumming intrinsics, sacrificing at altars, and everything else while still getting my button mashing hacky-slashy fix. Oh, and I want it to be just as viciously hard. :D

I think I tried ADOM before, but I'll look at it again. And YOU need to get EV:Nova. The link is in your BC thread. :)

a new Earthbound game on gamecube
Disaster Report 2 on whatever... just gimme. and polish it this time!
Dominion Tank Police MMORPG. with the choice to play as the police force, or the criminals. mmmm.... shirow goodness

Screw that, does every list have to be fanboycentric?

That said, your card fighters clash idea just makes me salivate. Shit, I could settle for a ported expanded edition at this point. WHY not already?

A fantastic Mario game with fun environments...basically what JC said. Exactly what he said.

I would also (as was mentioned by another poster) really, really enjoy a roaming beat-em up done with a loving glance at it's arcade roots, utilizing todays technology and gameplay. I would play it constantly.
