Xbox Live: Ultimate Game Sale - Now Live - Great Deals!

1) Does the Season's Pass offers more content than the DotW?
2) Will the Season Pass give me discounts on future Borderlands 2 dlc, like the new Tina dlc?
3) Is all the content in the season pass/DotW worth it, or is some of the content just throw away type dlc?

1) The season pass comes with the Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, a new mode that is harder and you can level up quicker. It also comes with the level upgrade that increases the level cap from 50 to 61.
2) Tiny Tina is included in the Season pass
3) Barring the quality of each mission I would say the Season Pass is worth it for what you get: It comes with the four DLCs: Captain Scarlett , Mr Torgue's Campaign, Tiny Tina and Sir Hammerlock. It also comes with the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack which increases the level cap and a new harder mode.

I downloaded it in under 30 minutes :S
Cheeky monkey...

I got it fixed. I called MS and had them look into it. I don't know what the issue was but the MS rep (who was very helpful and friendly btw) worked some magic and it went from 65%.- 100% in less than five minutes. I was pretty happy she wasn't offended by my gamertag and started laughing when I spelled it out for her.

Do you mean Tiny Tina's assault on dragons keep?

Thinking about going digital for Forza. Sucks that you can't install your disc then "sign" it with a GoD key rather than having to download, in this case, almost 7GB.

The Witcher is also tempting but I never really got into it the first time around.

The last 25%ish would of gone by in a second, I think it's just padding data or something that doesn't actually download or perhaps some kind of installation that occurs.

Ahhhh thanks, you just saved me a bunch of points. I was going to buy the all the content on the DotW and then buy Assault on Dragons Keep after. Sorry I don't want to seem daft, the description on xbl of what is included in the seasons pass isn't great at detailing all the content included. It seems that purchasing the Season Pass is the way to go, then buying whatever additional dlc that is currently a DotW.

Isn't it kind of crazy when dlc costs more than the game especially when it comes with less gameplay content?

Wonder how much BioShock Inf. or Tomb Raider will be?

Also, do you think there will be a encore sale?

I'm chomping at the bit for a great Bioshock Infinite deal...

It'd be at least $30 I'd think [judging by how the other things have gone]

-but if it's in the $15-$20 range, that'd get a LOT more people to jump on it, and they'll be releasing dlc soon so it'd spark a bunch more interest in the game right before that comes out... so, I'm hoping they're thinking that way.

I'm trying to buy Left 4 Dead 2 and it keeps saying that my purchase cannot be completed at this time. Anyone else having issues?

lol yeah a bit, but I think that's why they do it. I'd imagine they make tons off of all the people loading up on dlc because they got the full game for peanuts.

I don't think MS does encore sales on the last day, or I don't remember atleast.

The highest sales price so far has been $20 (for two $60 games). Not saying BI will be priced like that (or even lower), but I'm (at least) hopeful.

So I never played the first Left for Dead is the DLC with the 4 missions from the first game worth it?

Is that the best DLC value out of the 3 available for LFD2?

1st question, yes. I liked the characters and maps better in the first game so adding in melee weapons and its amazing.

2nd question, probably. You're getting the whole first game.

Anyone who hasn't played The Witcher 2 and passes on this $10 sale is a fool.

I finally bit the bullet and bought this bad boy. I've bought it twice for PC but have never got it to run (it just hangs on the wolf head every time). I really would've preferred playing with all the DLC and updates and higher res on PC, but this will have to do.

I also can't buy left 4 dead 2 either. On my xbox it says it went back up to full price and online I can't complete de process.

FML...

I'd guess it's so that he doesn't have to put the disk in the tray and can sell the physical copy?

Sooooooooo I have a question: Would it be better to purchase the Borderlands 2 season pass, OR just purchase the current DLC offered in this weeks DotW?

Season Pass: 2400

DotW:
Psyco Bandit 400
Hammerlock 400
Campaign 400
Pirate Booty 400

Vault Hunt 200
Slaughter 200
Mechroman 400
--------------------
2400

If I am reading everything correct - & I may not be - the current DotW is exactly the same as the season's pass content and total price but it just gives me the ability to pick and choose what I want to buy.

I'm also wondering:
1) Does the Season's Pass offers more content than the DotW?

also just so you know the psycho and mechro characters aren't included in the season pass. The mechro was a preorder bonus and pyscho was always 800 points. If you don't care about the extra characters I would just buy the 3 cheap dlcs, and ultimate mode for 1400 points and then you can get Tinas dlc for 800 and still only spend 2200. The creature slaughter dome isn't anything worth it, its just an arena round based side mission and there are two others in the actual game.

Still doesn't work, also tried clearing my cache. The opening menu has a camera panning to show Gotham. At some point during this, the video freezes and the sound mutes, but I can still navigate the menu. The guide sounds are also muted until I kick back to the dashboard. When I try to start a new game, I am greeted with a black screen. When I try to load that new game, I get a black screen. I have deleted all of my saves, tried downloading the game again, still problems. I tried a few other games, both GoD and disc, and my 360 worked fine. Who do I contact for help and/or a refund?
Has anyone else tried to play Lego Batman 2? I was able to brute force past the opening freeze by hammering on the A button. It loaded the opening newscast cinema and then I was put into my first battle scene, but there was no music. Then it got stuck on a loading screen. I am fucking puzzled, there's no record of this anywhere on the Internet. Every other game woks fine. I have the first 360 revision, where they added the HDMI port.

You won't regret getting it on 360. Of course the PC version is the way to go, and it sucks that you weren't able to get it to run. The 360 version is a pretty faithful port though considering it's limitations with only a few noticeable differences.

The first is that there are more doors/gates in the larger areas that you have to pass through. Opening doors is almost instant and there's no loading, so it's not a big issue. Probably a way around the limited RAM issue on the 360.

Secondly, the graphics obviously took a bit of a hit. There's some annoying screen tearing that's quite noticeable and the resolution looks to be sub-hd. Besides that, the game still looks gorgeous and runs at a smooth 30fps throughout with very few dips.

Finally, you're unable to map your buttons! The attack button is mapped to "A" where it's supposed to be "X" and there's no way to change it. Pretty annoying at first especially if you're used to playing it on PC, but you get used to it.

Uh, what? How is it linear? And it has loot, just not very much.

I haven't played it but I was under the impression that it was an action adventure game with a linear story. Maybe I was turned off because my original assumption was that was a Diablo-ish loot game.

Just played half an hour of Forza Horizon.

I feel like I've made a huge mistake.

30 fps. Does it get interesting?

Seems like this lady is ordering me around to do things. I don't need this as I have a job in real life that pays me to do that.

I thought this was open world?

Linear story? Lol. There are two completely different paths based on what you choose to do. On top of those paths there are so many ways to change up the story, its an RPG, not an action adventure game. There is tons of exploring and quests to be done on top of the main missions.

It is open world, you just have to do a race or two at the beginning. And yeah...she orders you around the whole game.

I like it. It is open world you don't have to listen to that lady.

Good to hear overall. It's been a frustrating and fruitless couple of years now looking for and trying every solution I could to run it on PC, so I'm definitely looking forward to finally getting to experience it.

One of the reasons I like Xbox Live are these deals. So far I've gotten Divinity, Witcher 2, Borderlands 2, and Far Cry 3 for less than the price of one game at launch ;).
