Linear story? Lol. There are two completely different paths based on what you choose to do. On top of those paths there are so many ways to change up the story, its an RPG, not an action adventure game. There is tons of exploring and quests to be done on top of the main missions.

OK, sold. Thanks. Its only ten bucks.

Congrats to those who are finally picking up Forza Horizon. Hope you enjoy it, it's my favorite racer this gen. Get the cheap Wireless Speed Wheel from Microsoft. Works surprisingly well!

Once I found out it was linear and offered no loot I lost interest.

Didn't respond to this earlier cuz I thought you were trolling...

I haven't played it but I was under the impression that it was an action adventure game with a linear story. Maybe I was turned off because my original assumption was that was a Diablo-ish loot game.

Wrong assumption, bro. >.>

You're OK on my list! ^^

Damn, is the Witcher 2 worth it for the Xbox? I heard they were revamping the PC version (I don't have a PC, but was planning on getting it once I did). I didn't like Skyrim but loved Dark Souls.

I kinda want to double dip on Horizon just so I can have it installed to HDD. xD

Tempting, but I won't. Gonna get Metal Gear Rising instead. Hope it's $10!

. . . How is the D-pad on that?

Because now that I look at it it really does look like it could be one of the better alternatives there.
About when do the new deals go up?
They tend to roll out in a few hours, and be in full force in the middle of the evening in the US, 7 PM PST was when Major Nelson did at least one of his updates and many of the games were on sale long beforehand.

I bought W2 on PC. Loved it, found out it was coming to 360 and just wanting to show my support for CDPR I bought it on release date for 360. Still haven't even opened it up. It's a fantastic title on PC, I've read that it's comparable on 360. Amazing game.

It is one of the most compromised ports I've seen in years, but given it's still lighter than some games got before it's not too big of a deal, especially if it's your only practical option anyway. There's all sorts of little effects or quirks sliced out, IE seeing Geralt during meditation or the little springy effect when navigating the abilities to level up.

The D-pad is stiff and shitty, but serviceable. I mean, the only thing you're gonna use it for is to navigate menus. The peripheral itself is great though. Takes a little bit of time to get used to but it works really well with all of the racing games I've tried(Horizon, Forza 4, Daytona, Outrun).

That kills the angle of using it outside of its intended purpose though, similar to how the central unit of the portable Rock Band drum set is secretly the best D-Pad controller on the 360, or one of the best at least. Ah well, still worth keeping in mind at <$30 just for Forza, I liked what I played of Horizon and do want to check out a proper mainline game sometime.

I thought that was a pretty good omission, tbh. OK the first time you see it, but gets annoying every other time after.

I must also point out that there is no LB or RB button, so yeah you're only gonna want the wheel for using it with racing games.

For people who've played it, how is X-Com Enemy Unknown? I think I might pick it up if the price is right.

Fantastic, one of my favorite games last year. I played on Ironman man mode, which basically is just one autosave and doesn't let you reload a previous save if you screw up. It took me a few games to actually beat it, but my friend who just played on the standard mode still had fun, even if he didn't ever lose a soldier permanently.

So will the next day's deals, or at least some of them, go live before today's are up? Was anyone paying attention to this in the past days? BTW Max Payne 3 still shows up for $10 for me even though it was a daily deal on the first day.

I really want to get Forza, but I only have 1900 Microsoft Points and I'd be interested in some of the games tomorrow at certain prices so I'd prefer to wait and see what they are if I can.

Sounds good, I'll read up on it some more and might just pick it up.
