im starting to think SSBB will have 3 or more Zelda based stages (or, more like it better have 3 or more Zelda based stages)

this could be for an updated Hyrule castle stage (with the caves on the bottom tweaked), then they need a Twilight Princess one (I think this would be cool, but with a changing background or something to that effect), then a Wind Waker one on Dragon Roost Island or on Tetra's ship.

Exactly what I was thinking. OoT, WW, and TP each get their own stages.

I can see it now

"Hyrule Stage"

This is a very unique and special stage, and Zelda fans are in for a treat. The platform goes through a "time vortex" that travels between every major Zelda game...in chronological order!

As the Brawlers reach each new time period, a new landscape is depicted. Here during Ocarina of Time, we see the battle go from the raging lava Fire Temple to a stampede at Lon Lon Ranch.

Could that be the Temple of Time? Who could that dark figure in the shadows possibly be?

Favorite character from each era will also make an appearance as the stage progresses. Lookout for that wave, Tetra!

Yes, even a certain 35-year-old fairy makes a brief cameo!

":lol" but not possible. Each theme doesn't go on long enough for a stage transition. Only the Wario stage can change every 5 seconds.

That sounds just like something you'd find on the site :lol

This game will have the greatest soundtrack of all time.
Did you see the page with the number of people contributing? Holy crap. I really hope to see something like Smash Bros. DX Concert Official for this game. The orchestrations were awesome.

To expand on what I said a bit, the only really good tracks in Melee were Fountain of Dreams, Hyrule Temple (Zelda 2), Hyrule Temple (Fire Emblem), one of the multiman melee tracks, Mute City....and that's about it, I think.

Everything else was forgettable, and some of the new arrangements were just really botched, such as Saria's Song, and (to me) Mario 3.

so now that an ocarina of time song is confirmed, are all the "SHIEK IS DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY GONE. NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!" people shutting up?

edit: i expect the characters that are leaving will be more like pichu and roy, who are pretty much just gimped versions of other characters.

Yeah those are some of Melee's best tracks. I liked the Onett song, too.

Fail what? Okay, no, it wasn't mentioned in game, it was in the manual. Sorry, I still read the manuals to all my games to this day, because they used to actually contain useful story tidbits and I was a reader before I was a gamer. When I get home, I can find the proof for you.

Impa didn't send Link to find the "seven" princesses.

To recall:

Ganon invaded Hyrule. Princess Zelda hid the Triforce of Wisdom in eight fragments throughout Hyrule in dungeons and left behind a Triforce Guardian to protect each (yes, those bosses were put there by Zelda, not Ganon). Before Ganon capture her, she had her nursemaid, Impa, flee to find a hero to save Hyrule. Ganon captured Zelda and learned Impa had fled. Sends his henchman after her. She would have fell in a remote corner of Hyrule, if not for the passing of a valiant young warrior named Link. After Link saved her, Impa revealed the plight of Hyrule. Link must collect the eight fragments of the Triforce of Wisdom in order to confront the evil wizard Ganon atop Death Mountain and save Princess Zelda and free Hyrule.

That's the story of the first game, in a nutshell.

This meledy actually manages to render Saria's Song in a way which not only doesn't make you want to rip your own ears off, but actually sounds pleasant.

Sheik SEPARATE character.
Zelda transforms into Dark/Puppet/Whatever Zelda.

Also
Thursday's update, or so I hear, reveals TAG TEAM MOVES.

"Team up with a friend - or foe. Unleash devastating attacks on your enemies! Some moves can even have a large effect on the terrain, changing the stage dramatically!

I wonder what happens if 3 characters team up."

I have as much evidence for this bull as you Sheik naysayers.

Edit - Yes, these music samples suck. They mash together good themes. Which is nice, but they try to fit 15 different themes in 1 minute and none of them get any justice, and all are way too styled/altered/arranged. I'm hoping (in futility) that these samples are small (1/10th or less) chunks of each track.

You may be right, I won't be able to check until I get home. But I know Zelda was the one who placed the monsters to guard the pieces of Triforce, but she also placed others there. I referred to them as 'princesses' because I couldn't remember what the game called them.

Either way, I'm almost certain that Impa was a Sheikah.

About the shiek speculation. Lemme just add my useless 2 cents!

Would be sweet if they did it like Zero suit Samus and she turned into shiek after her special move ;)

if you want an mp3 of any of the songs, google for flash resource rip or something along those lines and use one of the many free programs to rip resources from flash files.

Very nice composition. I would love to hear the full version but I guess i'll have to wait until the game comes out.

Wow the updates in recent times have been fantastic, keep it Sukarai. :)

It's the only explanation.

An OoT stage just became more likely. Sheik's still out.

Definitely.

Honestly, my first thought on stage would that the stage for this would be The Temple of Time.

I mean... It is the Ocarina songs after all. And every one links back to that place, the home of the Ocarina.

Anyway, the other thing I thought was that since this came right after the Zelda update this must be "Zelda's Level" per se. Being OOT music, this makes it slightly more likely to me that Zelda is OOT-Zelda, in turn making Shiek more likely.

Link is more clearly TP link looking at his costume, and I hope his moves (spinner please!) will reflect this. Zelda kinda makes more SENSE as OOT Zelda, as at least in OOT she was like a secret ninja, perfect for Smash. Wonder what the TP level will be.

btw, I wonder how Sakurai handed the soundtracks to the composers. I mean, not everyone has the luck like Michiko Naruke for creating a theme with the Zelda tracks. Did they decide by playing dice?

I thought each composer handled a few of his favorites. It's not like they're going to fight over this like brats anyway.
