welp

Eh, not that strange. When my father passed, for a few hours it was rough but it really didn't hit me until the wake/funeral that I had lost him. In between I was playing games, talking to friends, and the like.

it'll be more to do with co-ordinated PR taking into account family wishes and reports, than anything to do with it sinking in, forgetting tragedy or denial

My condolences go out to his family and friends, a great personality has suddenly been snatched away from us all. The Giant Bombcast will never be the same again :(

Absolutely terrible. For some reason, the lack of tweets and tumblr updates from most of the crew had me thinking that maybe something had happened. My thoughts go out to Ryan's friends and family, especially his wife and the Giant Bomb crew. Gonna miss you, Ryan.

I just don't know what to say about this. I'm heartbroken. Such a sad day for gaming journalism. I sent out my love and care to his family, colleagues, and hell, any body who is doing the same as I am.

RIP man :'(.

Shit, this is easily the most I have ever been effected by the death of someone I have never met in person. I guess when you listen to hundreds of hours of someone candidly speaking, making you laugh and sharing a common passion for video games it sneaks up on you.

Today, "Fuck Ryan Davis" has changed to "Fuck, Ryan Davis!?"

Still can't stop thinking about his poor wife, I feel my throat close thinking about what it must have been like. So sorry. :(

I want to hear his story about walking to a best buy and picking up a PS4/XBO damnit. I want to hear him on a bombcast tomorrow night. I heard his voice more often than I do family/friends. I just can't believe this is making me this sad. I mean, tears are falling.

Holy fucking shitballs? I honestly couldn't believe it when I read the headline. What the fuck? I'll miss him during the podcasts and quick looks :(

I just found out and I had to check literally 3. Different places to make sure it was not some werid joke.

Holy. Shit. Just..I mean wow.

Miss ya Ryan, followed you for years.. Industry lost someone great.

RIP
This really fucking sucks.

This is terrible......thoughts and prayers to his family.

He made many nights at work a lot easier and funnier for me. I will miss him.

RIP Ryan, you brought laughs to a lot of people.
