Not fully, no, but focally. Wii Sports is far and away the most popular Mii-based game, and so it's only logical that Sakurai would pull from that for the Mii's more important attacks. I can't imagine any situation where boxing and bowling would be passed over for a Mii in favor of Villager. They're barely (if at all) associated with Animal Crossing, whereas they're two of the Mii's closest associations. It only makes sense to give Villager those attacks if the Mii isn't playable. Otherwise, it's a baffling design decision. Sakurai could have pulled from any number of Animal Crossing furniture pieces/tools/NES games, but he deliberately went with boxing and bowling. You don't think that's a little odd?
